Now I find that, after 25 years, this location will be closing soon. I definitely give lamps plus in Oceanside a 5 star +. I was not the easiest customer to please. We are remodeling and I needed to find a light for two posts. I had no idea what I was looking for at the time. Suzanne was outstanding in assisting me to find the perfect light. (She was extremely patient and amicable and fun to work with). Unfortunately, I had never purchased a Post light before, so I had no idea what I needed. After several attempts Bruce the store manager assisted me, and he was amazing as well. He was patient with my Indecisiveness and tried help the best he could aways with a smile. I finally ended up with the John Timberland Titan 17" which has coordinating lamps to do the entire home to match. I am excited to finish all my lighting needs with Lamp Plus in Oceanside. I think the process will be easier now that I found the look I am looking for. I cannot say enough good things about the help I received. Every transaction with the Lamps Plus employees at this store, is amazing. They keep track of your order, they email you as necessary, they just go out of their way to make the shopping experience great. Several times I've made purchases that I didn't like once I got home. NOT a problem at all, they have a great return policy. When you order in the store, your items are literally shipped to you in one or two days. I won't buy lighting or fans from anyone else. My husband and I moved into a new home and it desperately needs new lighting. We walked into Lamps Plus in Oceanside and we were greeted with a friendly "Hello" from Jennifer. She asked us what we were looking for...a dining room chandelier. She was amazing! As we walked around, she was dialing into the style we liked. She never got frustrated or offended as we said , " no, not that". She was friendly with a great attitude and incredibly knowledgeable about the products they offer. Lamps Plus has an amazing selection of products, even furniture and furnishings! Not only did we find the perfect dining room chandelier, we found 2 lamps for our Chapel room and 2 lamp posts for the backyard. Great service in the store. It's been a lot of time and really knew their product well. I was able to get exactly what we want and it looks great on the front of my house. Sadly, without permission, they grabbed the address from my credit card I suppose And thought they had an OK to send me catalogs. I don't deal with tree killing businesses. It's really outdated to think it's OK to do this. I don't really wanna deal with a business that thinks it's OK to take my data without permission. When I use my credit card, it's for the purpose of payment not to give permission for you to take my data. That's very inappropriate. It happened at the store. It is store specific. I'm saying that in case they try to get this removed as not store specific. I would like to hear a response telling me that the manager understands the concern and will let the people they work for know they don't want to be in the data gathering business. read more

My experience today was disappointing, to say the least. I came in looking for replacement light bulbs for a house project today. We are replacing multiple types of bulbs. The first gentleman told me they don't make a 6000k version of the edison bulb, when I know they exist. I get that you don't have it in the store, but they don't make it? I clarified this with him. He repeated his answer. I said thank you to him and he just walked away. The second gentleman I spoke to regarding candlelights walked away as he was talking to me, to speak to another person. Then, never came back to me, and he started looking at their products. I don't think I did anything wrong, but a little respect towards customers would go a long way. We visited the store but did not see what we wanted, however Pal assisted us and recommended a couple of chandeliers from their online selection which we liked. He also recommended the bulbs for the lighting we required for each chandelier which we were able to purchase in the store. With a deadline of receiving the fixtures and having them hung within a week Pal made sure they were in stock and would be shipped within a couple of days. I was shopping for bathroom vanity lights online. I needed to get a vanity light with at least 3000 lumens. I couldn't sort lights by lumens online and couldn't find what I wanted. I decided to try Lamps Plus. Jennifer helped me and was able to find the right style of light with the right brightness. As it turned out, when it came time to install the light, one of the shades was cracked. Jennifer was able to immediately replace the lamp, and my remodel project was not delayed.
