    The couch after 2 year

    I have a very strange shaped family room, in which we use every day! About 20 years ago I bought Ethan Allen to help furnish it. Very happy with original furniture ! I went back two years ago, to help replace it. They do not make sofa or 11/2 chairs that would fit my room. With the designer guidance we recovered through Ethan Allen all the furniture I also bought a new rug and a leather ottoman! The cost was no different than buying brand new . I was assured the material would be the best for my family The workmanship was excellent the fabric is so unacceptable. I did not buy the extended warranty. In the year my mother got sick and Died in Canada and I did not have time to follow up on wear and stains on the couch. The fabric has worn terribly, it stained , it attracts dirt and after a year my original couch 20 years old fabric looked better than it does. I do cover and vacuum frequently. I've had them professionally cleaned ! I'm beyond disappointed Ethan Allen will do nothing , thru do not stand behind their product. I would not recommend this business or will go back now that I'm replacing my living room furniture! I'm so disappointed

    Earlier this year my fiance Iman and I decided to go look at some furniture. In all honesty, we had zero plans to purchase anything but just wanted to see what was available in the San Marcos showroom. And then we met Nikki Brouillette. She was patient and incredibly helpful with every question we asked. Iman and I both have different styles but somehow Nikki was able to help us pick stuff where we both felt satisfied. This in turn resulted in us going from intending to spend zero dollars to, spending somewhere in the ballpark of 30,000 along with an entire home remodel (paint/floors/electrical). Which is 100% thanks to the dedication and knowledge that Nikki contributed to the process. And once the furniture was delivered, the interior design vision she painted for us on her computer came to life. Like Cinderella, but with amazing furniture and design instead of some weird pumpkin carriage. Overall, we couldn't be happier with how everything looks and appreciate all the work Nikki put into helping us find all the finishing touch cherries on top of our dream house. Incredible job.     One star is way too high given the current issue my family is dealing with. For starters my home is basically an Ethan Allen showroom. We have purchased tens of thousands of dollars over the years from this location and have remained loyal, but what happened this past week is from a horror story. It started when the delivery branch came to my home and in the first few seconds made racially disparaging comments to my wife. Imagine buying furniture from a high end retailer, spending a good sum of money, patiently waiting two months and then on the exciting "big day" when items are to be delivered, you are verbally abused!! This has been our experience thus far. A woman alone with small children being racially slurred at the door!! What the???!! Being made to feel this way is completely unacceptable and appalling in this world. Should I add that the item was damaged, unfinished (as if they forgot to complete the build) and unusable? What happened to EA??!!?? Fast forward 48 hours of countless calls to customer service and being handed around while the store, distribution and a customer service center all do very little outside of blame the other party and offer poor apologies, we have no timeline for replacement or resolution. I personally do NOT feel that the customer is "always right" , but this is so far out of bounds that I'm stunned. We all make mistakes and as a company, it's how you handle issues that defines your legacy. Maybe this will have a good ending. Stay tuned. providing what used to be a superior experience and product, seems to be in jeopardy.

    Really one of the best furniture options in the area! I loved the service as well as the selection here, they are really the only store on Furniture Row that carry quality and the style of furniture that I like. Prices are high, but they have a clearance section in the back with great deals where I found a beautiful chandelier for a great price. They wrapped it up nicely for me and brought it out to the car for easy loading. Worth a stop when you need something for your home!

    This is a pretty huge Ethan Allen. It's way the heck out in San Marcos, off the 78. But it's worth it if you're seriously looking for furniture. The prices are up there, but the construction, fabrics and styles are pretty good. The only big huge bummer is how long it takes. Usually 6-8 weeks. Even takes 3 weeks just to get a delivery of a floor sample. One of the benefits is that they have good displays, with entire rooms of furniture so you can see how they go together. For the most part, the stuff they have is best suited for your grandmother's Beverly Hills mansion. But if you look around, you'll probably find something that appeals to you. Found a great dining room table I'm thinking of getting. I happened to mention to Virginia Foley, the person who was helping me, that I was picking out paint colors and she spent 1/2 hour with me going through paint color books. Asked if she would do a color consultation but she said they only do that when you need to coordinate with stuff you're buying at Ethan Allen.Good parking.

    The leather discolored quickly and they wouldn't replace it.   Lousy quality, lousy cushion, $3200 for the recliner!  Don't buy their fabric

It's a good size store in the old bed, Bath, and beyond building, I believe. Everything is very organized and clean. I hope it stays this way cause the other stores can be kind of a mess. They have a ton of merchandise everything from lamps, to furniture, to bedding, to kids items, to pet goods, to kitchen, to food, to art, to storage, to bathroom, etc. it's overwhelming but in a fun way. I didn't end up buying anything today, but I will definitely be back. I love to walk around HomeGoods and it's great for gifts.

    They charged me $214.43 for a restocking fee even though the product arrived to their store damaged…read moreand I was told by Debbie that she couldn't get me a perfect one. The $214.43 is more than their stated restocking fee as I bought the item on sale. I wrote customer service the following: Subject: Urgent: Refund Request for Damaged Caspian Chairside Table - Order/Transaction #W0036174 Dear Bassett Furniture Co. Customer Service, I am writing to request a full refund for a Caspian Chairside Table 6S24-0643 that I purchased for $949.00 during a sale. The table arrived at your San Marcos store damaged, and upon inspection, Debbie, a representative at the San Marcos store, informed me that a perfect, undamaged replacement could not be secured. Due to the item arriving damaged, I requested a refund. I was subsequently charged a significant amount, with $214.43 being withheld from my refund. I firmly believe that a restocking fee should not apply in this situation, as the table was damaged upon arrival and was never delivered to my home; I inspected it at your showroom. Even if a restocking fee were applicable, your standard 15% restocking fee on the purchase price of $949.00 would amount to $142.35. The $214.43 that was withheld significantly exceeds this amount, representing more than the stated 15%. Therefore, I am requesting a full refund of the $214.43 that was withheld. This amount represents the difference between the full purchase price and the refund I received. Alternatively, if a full refund of the withheld amount is not possible despite the table arriving damaged and no undamaged replacement being available, I request that the restocking fee be adjusted to the stated 15% of the purchase price, which is $142.35. This would mean I am owed an additional $72.08 ($214.43 - $142.35). I expect a fair resolution to this matter. Please process the refund of $214.43 or, at a minimum, the $72.08 difference to adhere to your stated restocking fee policy for damaged goods. They will NOT honor their warranty! The icing on the cake of purchasing this couch was when the manager told me he has a dog and boys that climb all over it and that he had it for 10 years and it still looked great. He even showed me photos!! DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS. I don't have kids and dogs running all over my couch. It's my husband and me. That's it! And the photos show what my couch looks like. Shame on Bassett for not honoring their furniture!!
