When it arrived the ceramic top was damaged so I was told to not accept it and Ken located another one with the right combination of top and legs. When that arrived, it also had been damaged in shipping and Ken said to reject it and he found another one- same problem. I guess the porcelain tops are very fragile and require more delicate handling. Ken never gave up in the quest to deliver the perfect table I had ordered and was communicative and proactive throughout the ongoing issues never complaining once. They just delivered the 4th table which arrived in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier. I've never had such a positive experience from what was ostensibly a terrible one. Calligaris had discontined the combination I originally ordered in the meantime, but Ken persisted in getting that original combination shipped from Italy. Ken, thanks for your persistence, patience and follow-through. I can not recommend you and your store more highly!!

A $400 bed frame should not collapse instantly. I could have bought something cheaper online that would've lasted longer than a few seconds. When I called the next day to figure out a solution, I was met with attitude right away. Instead of helping, the person on the phone acted like I was the problem. Then I'm suddenly told there is NO 30-day return policy?? I was told to come in and speak with the owner, so I did go in and Tony was there, and the moment I mentioned the bed breaking, his entire attitude changed. He became defensive, rude, and completely unprofessional. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to blame me and say I "built it wrong," which is ridiculous. I wasn't the one who built it, my father was and he even told me that the bed frame looks really flimsy and low quality. The frame was assembled correctly it's just extremely cheap and poorly made. What's even worse is that the "30-day return policy" he sold me on magically turned into a "30-day warranty for parts." That was NEVER explained upfront. That's misleading at best. His solution? For me to email them the broken part so they could replace it. Meaning I'm stuck fixing a brand new, already broken bed myself. Not only that but even if they do get me the same part I'm still going to have to buy better, sturdier, and stronger parts which is going to make the price for this horrible bed frame go up even more. I should not have to put more money into a bed frame I paid $400 for. I sent the email as requested, and it has now been 12 days with absolutely no follow-up, no resolution, nothing. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The products are cheaply made, the customer service is terrible, and the way they handle issues is unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values honesty and quality.

I was in the Pleasant Hill store on Sunday, I was greeted by an associate in front of the store. He was very welcoming to me, and ask me if I needed any help. I told him not at this moment, he proceeded and said " go ahead and walk around, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. While walking around the store, I saw some pendants that caught my eyes. I went up to the associate in the red shirt and ask him for help. The associate gladly follow me back to where I saw the pendant's that I like. I told him that I was remodeling my place, and I needed some opinions on which pendant's will work for my remodeling. I explained to Norin what my views with the pendants were. I love that he listened to all the details. I also love that he ask me questions about my remodeling views. Norin spend with me 35 mins at lease. Finally I made my decision. I was ready to order and purchase my pendant's. While talking to Norin, another associate came by, he stood near us listening to our conversation, I thought that was weird, the sale associate told Norin that he will take over me. I didn't like that at all. That means that I had to repeat everything that I spend 35 mins explaining. I ask Norin if he can you do my orders, before Norin could answer, the other associate said I'll do the order for you. So I told the associate that I changed on my order, and that I have to do some thinking. Honestly, I wish Norin could done the orders. He was wonderful. I will definitely come back, as long I can do my business with Norin. He has some great decorating ideas that I love. read more

Okay, I am a little conflicted. I have shopped and purchased a few lamps from this store and have to agree with the other reviews concerning my experiences with their service. At times they have been standoffish or seem snide, they are also pretty slow, and the thing about the lights being on all the time is definitely true, However, I had a great experience the last couple times, especially today! So I purchased a set of lamps from this store a couple of years ago, and they are very nice. These are $300 lamps that have three lights and several settings, very elegant. They have worked great in both my homes, I moved over the summer. Anyway, a couple of months ago one lit off a spark suddenly when turned on. Upon investigating I found the wires inside to be singed. So, I set it aside and planned to have it repaired. Not knowing if Lamps Plus even did repairs. Today, I took the lamp in to have it looked at and without even hesitating the store clerk offered to simply replace the lamp. No repair, no cost, nothing...just here you go, a brand new lamp. She stated "We stand behind our products". Now, I am elated and the first thing I said..."This totally makes up for all the times I've come in here and been ignored". I know...I know, but I seriously though I was staring at, at least $100 repair. I am a sucker for free and easy! read more

My husband and I went into the Pleasant Hill lamps Plus a few days ago, where we were greeted by Norin. He told myself and my husband if we have any questions to be free to ask. So my husband and I were walking around in the store and we found a lamp that would be perfect for our living room. Norin was walking around our area, I asked him if he could give us some information about the lamp and what kind of bulb it uses. He took us near a kiosk where he showed us the lamp and the information about the lamp. He asked us a lot of questions about where we were putting the lamp what kind of blub we were looking for. And give us some advice on the brightness of the lamp. He was very knowledgeable, I asked him if they had that lamp in stock, he said yes. So while he was getting our lamp, My husband saw another lamb that he really fell in love with. When Norin return to us, I told him that my husband found another lamp that he loves. Norin went to the kiosk and looked it up the information about the lamp. He said that he had one left in stock in the store. My husband and I had a great experience in lamps Plus Pleasant Hill, with a knowledgeable person helping us with our decisions. My experience with Lamps Plus was incredibly disappointing. Not only did they hand me the wrong item, but they also refused to take any responsibility when I contacted them for the first time. Instead of owning up to their mistake, they directed me to contact their manager and online service. However, both avenues proved futile. The online service claimed they couldn't control the store, while the store washed their hands of the issue, stating it was beyond their abilities. As a result of their non-responsiveness, I ended up paying twice the installation fee. To add insult to injury, I later discovered the same product at the same price in Target. I strongly advise against purchasing anything from this store. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service are utterly unacceptable. read more

I worked with Jacqueline Brewer at the pleasant hill location and I have to say I wouldn't be able to have such a successful remodel without her. This is the store and Jose Vela is the consultant to visit for lamps. I had purchased two lamps from the Dublin store and the welding on one of the mission-style shades came apart. The Dublin store told me it was my fault for allegedly using two high a wattage bulb (yet the other shade was fine) and wouldn't stand behind the product. I went to the Pleasant Hill store to purchase another shade and instead when I told Mr. Vela what had happened, he stood behind the product and in three days I had a replacement lamp and shade. Instead of listening to what I wanted, he kept telling me that I really wanted something else that was higher priced. If it had been $200, I probably would have just taken the risk, but not at that price tag. Due to my environmental allergies and after discovering Greenguard Gold furniture I just haven't been willing to take a gamble on plastic or difficult to rinse off cords and weaving and unfortunately that was mainly what they had in the showroom. So all that being said, tldr Terra Outdoor Living has a very specific vision most of their items fall into and I'm sadly just not the target customer for it.

Disappointing experience…read more Not a good experience Purchased an expensive wool and viscose area rug that was recommended by one of their designers. They neglected to inform me the material the rug is made of cannot be professionally cleaned. If it is cleaned it will never look as good as it did when it was new, and the overall quality will deteriorate much faster compared to a wool or synthetic rug. Evidently the viscose shrinks and the rug can shrivel. I found this out today when I scheduled professional carpet cleaners to come out to clean it. They refused to clean the rug. I have pets and the designer knew this. If I had known this I would have NEVER purchased the rug. I have also experienced issues with communication. I purchased a painting that ended up not working for me and asked if they had recommendations on where I could resell it. I never got a reply.

So this review is going to stem throughout a several years. I purchased a bed at the Concord store…read morein March of 2019 , an adjustable bed king size so it had two XL twin size mattress frames on each side with moveable head/feet features. It was expensive, and in addition to the frame mattresses we also had it delivered to a new house we had just purchased and bought a 10 year warranty on the bed. Moving forward a couple of years my husband's side of the bed motor went out and was not functional so we called the warranty service and had a technician come do a service call. He was there for two minutes and then left. They promptly called us and told us it was not covered because the frame was bent. After many phone calls, we asked for a second opinion they finally sent out another technician, and he told us that the first technician had already been fired, and the bed was not bent, but the motor had burned out. Fine, the motors replaced and the bed worked fine no problems. A couple years forward the bed now is stuck in the upward position. It won't go down the feet work, but the head won't go down. We called the warranty service and they say because we've had so many calls. We've one had one service call. They need a video we send a video and they promptly send me a message telling me that we have no more warranty left and they're going to send me a check for $40. She told me they tell me I should go put that towards the new bedframe or another remote and there's nothing else they can do for us. Mind you the warranty that we paid for was a 10 year warranty. We've only had the bed for six years. They did not tell us that there was a cap on the money that we were able to spend. They told us that the bed was covered for 10 years. I will never again buy a bed from this facility or recommend any of my friends to go to mattress firm and purchase a bed there and I will make sure to tell anybody I know to never buy a bed or a warranty from that facility again.

I called the Concord Ave location and asked if he was able to assist me with tracking my order. He not only provided multiple options to resolve my concern, but he also acknowledged my situation and showed empathy. Mike was attentive and ensured all my concerns were addressed to have my bed set before the holidays. Mike truly took his time to hear me out and ensured I understood the entire process. I never once felt rushed with him and assured me that everything will be ok. In addition, Mike always "kept the door open" with me by telling me not hesitate to reach out if there are additional things I need. He felt warm, personable and approachable. As someone with years of retail experience, Mike hit the nail on the coffin with his customer service and social skills. Thanks Mike!

We love the shutters, but a few pieces had broken off and one plastic rear tilt bar was missing completely. I contacted Hunter Douglas directly, and although they were able to replace the connectors, they were unable to help me find a replacement rear tilt bar. I went to Home Depot only to get the runaround from several people. I then contacted Calico since they are authorized dealers of Hunter Douglas shutters and although Kathy was surprised by my request initially, she took the time to investigate and got back to me as promised to inform me that the rear tilt bar had been ordered. It is so rare to receive the type of customer service I received from Kathy. She was helpful and knowledgeable and did exactly what she told me she was going to do! I'm so impressed & my beautiful Hunter Douglas plantation shutters are like new again! Thanks Kathy!

We went to Calico to purchase some upholstery fabric as we were going to recover some worn out…read moredining room chairs. We had great assistance from Amy, who walked us through options and recommendations. She let us take home some samples to see how things looked next to the furniture and in the room/lighting. Super accommodating and friendly. Even extended us a discount (when it was supposed to have ended the day before).
