In 2022 went in to Check out patio furniture and Based on the sales persons Mitch's sales pitch on a 15 year warranty on this homecrest loveseat and couch with matching rocking chairs ,we purchased the patio furniture even tho it was rather expensive, We were told by Mitch that the reason the price was pricy was because this furniture was not like any other product on the market it was of higher quality and that we would not have any problems for years, and if there should be a problem no worries it comes with a 15 year warranty, Well needless to say we had a problem with the sling material on love seat and couch getting a discoloration and a rip , do based on the thought that we had a warranty I reached out to Patioworld for help , to my disbelief I was informed that the warranty didn't apply to the sling material but only to the frame, so I then explained what Mitch the sales person told us , they didn't matter they refused to help us repair our expensive furniture, I will never buy anything from them nor will I recommend them to anyone. You would think spending $3,000 on a fire pit would almost guarantee you a working product, and if not, the BEST customer service in getting it fixed. We have gotten the runaround for the last 4 months about our broken fire pit. Bill from Patioworld called twice to try and "mansplain" why it wasn't working, and both times he was completely WRONG with the diagnosis. After a couple months, they finally decided they should send one of their guys out to look at it. And guess what....it was a malfunctioning part in the product. Now they are saying we have to wait for the warranty company to respond and send out a new part. It has been over a month now. Patioworld needs to deliver us a new firepit, BILL, and they can wait on the new part from the warranty company! This is appauling. Don't waste your money here. read more

The furniture is nice but very expensive. We have issues with some VERY expensive outdoor chairs but PatioWorld would not help us. They referred us to the manufacturer who have not responded to either phone or email messages. We are stuck with 6 defective $$$ outdoor chairs. Next time I will buy from Costco who will honor their products! Just know that once you purchase from PatioWorld they are sales and delivery only, no customer service. They don't stand behind their products. So very sad and disappointing!! read more

Strange store with over-the-top patio furniture that's pricey and cheaply made. Look around for better designed work -- a lot of better choices in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, hubby and I bought a small table and 2 chairs for our back patio -- and now am sitting, waiting for delivery that costs $75.00 -- and they're late and no one answers the phone. And I have to go to work. Real nice. Love it when companies mistreat customers -- and probably their employees too. What a racket. Am thinking of canceling the order and moving on. I had a really good experience here -- ended up buying a firepit table I really liked. The space is big and it's easy to browse. The selection and prices all seemed good -- honestly, not too different from Terra Patio up the street, but they carry different brands. Delivery was prompt - they called me the next day to schedule delivery, and said they'd set it up in the backyard. My only minor complaint was that they didn't have much of a President's Day sale (free sales tax and delivery), but all in all, this is a good spot if you're looking to actually test furniture for your backyard. read more

In a nutshell: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR COMMUNICATION In May we bought two swivel rockers, a glider, a small table and an umbrella with the stand ($2,500 total). It took a while to set up the delivery because they call you only a day or two to set it up. I happened to have some medical and other appointments I couldn't break. They kept asking me if they could just drop it off when I wasn't home but I said no. When the pieces finally arrived, I carefully inspected the chairs while the delivery guys waited. The umbrella and base were in boxes so I didn't open them. We were having landscaping done so we didn't open the boxes until the following week. When we opened them up, the shaft of the umbrella had a large dent. Also, the cylinder that screws into the base was dented too, so it was no longer round so you couldn't screw in the umbrella. When I called the store, they said since it was over 48 hours since we received the items it was now a "warranty" issue. None of the sales staff warned me of this when we bought the items. It wasn't until I looked at my receipt and flipped it over that I saw the notice that you had to report damaged items within 48 hours. The sales staff needs to advise their customers of this important policy. I don't disagree with the policy, but I do believe you should be warned. I just didn't expect to get damaged items. I want to add that I had to call more than once and send multiple emails to various staff. Their communication is horrible!!! Finally, I was able to talk to a lady at the warehouse to get replacement parts. It was over a month before the parts came in. I had also asked that the lady call me as soon as they arrived and she didn't. I had to call her instead. Although she speaks perfectly good English, her communication is terrible. In conclusion, the store sales staff are pleasant, but if there are problems after the sale takes place, you're screwed. I paid for an umbrella in May and didn't get to actually use it until August. Never again! Actually, the umbrella doesn't seem to quite fit into the base properly, but at this point I am through with Patioworld! read more

Went to Patioworld with my girlfriend she needed 12 new cushions we had looked everywhere. What we found was over priced or not enough. Justin was so helpful he tried to send us to someone who could give us a direct match but we were able to find what we liked in his store and since the line was being discontinued we got a great price. My first experience at Patioworld was over a year ago, and i wasnt impressed. Although the furniture was incredible, the customer service i got left alot to be desired. The staff just seemed lost. Even with my first impresion,I went back in recently to add to the collection i purchased. I just still have not found anything that compares to their quality and turn around time. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by what seemed a whole new staff, all of which were knowledgable, professional and friendly. What a change! Went to Patioworld to check out some new furniture. My 15 year old set has been through three moves from the Midwest to California and it was time to retire it. Christina was wonderful! She was consultative in her approach; not at all pushy or short in just trying to sell something. I got a great discounted price on a beautiful set but before I said, "Yes", I wanted to price check online. Christina gave me a written, out-the-door, with delivery and set-up price and I took it home. That afternoon, I found the same set for a few dollars less from a company in Indiana. I thought about it for a moment and then decided it was more important to buy locally for the service aspect and also to support my community store. It was worth the few bucks to buy locally and with a helpful and knowledgeable sales staff. I said, "Yes". The delivery folks called the next day and worked pleasantly to accommodate my schedule. Delivery and set up went well! The guys called 30 minutes in advance and were here and out in no time! I highly recommend Patioworld for their beautiful products, priced competitvely and especially for their excellent service and staff! read more

First started with the Walnut Creek store, then someone in corporate and now on to another company as Patio World does not handle this any longer. I went into the store looking for some cool items and this very nice guy came to help. He was very polite and then came over the manager. He tried to cut in and ask if I needed help and I said no that I was already being helped. The nice salesman kept helping me but the manager kept looking over my way as if I couldn't afford to buy their store. I noticed it but ignored it. I thanked the nice salesman and left. Do not deserve a star at all!!! very poor coordination, bad phone manner, rude to customer even the manager do not care if you were physically there and spoke to her, mistakes from the store, she will look at the computer screen and say i am sorry but she did not mean it at all. nothing to do with the product, they are not the one making it! told the salesperson very clearly that i am buying the new whole set of outdoor furnitures. she said that i qualified for a discount...ends up: (1) making many phone calls and unable to contact the delivery service (call back to store they told me" no such thing.), (2) finally delivered the whole thing except the umbrella?! (3) made another delivery day, no show and no call?! (customer's time means nothing to them) (4) the last delivery, deliver a stick of umbrella but no stand?!! (5) call the store, the person said "manager is not here, call tomorrow" and hung up the phone (6) call again to the so-call manager to arrange next day that i will come to the store to pick up the stand, manager did not even bother to tell the sales person anything about my pick up, brush me off with bad attitude and try to sell me the wrong item. (7) have to insist to stay there or no-chance to talk to the manager in person, the manger finally show up but believed that they are very kind to give me a discount already , and i am asking to much of it ?! We had fun and successful experience at the Patio World in Walnut Creek. We wanted a lower-priced outdoor patio set. They have a decent-sized Sale room there, and we found a large woven all-weather table at a good price. There were no matching chairs, and the salesman mentioned that he sometimes goes to Pier 1 or a similar place and finds fun, non-matchy chairs to go with his tables. We did that and are really enjoying our colorful patio set, and even recently used the large, high-quality, comfortable table indoors for a dinner party! The folks there even helped us to load the table into our SUV. Thanks much. read more
