They helped me find exactly what I was looking for, and were able to point out the different options that fit my specific situation. I purchased it, and when I found out it didn't work for my space (due to issues with the space, not the product), I was able to return the product to the location incredibly quickly and easily, probably the easiest return I've ever done. I recently called Lamp Plus in Torrance because a glass piece from my beautiful chandelier had come apart. I needed to find out if someone could repair it or find a replacement part. Luckily I was called back by Rhod, a sales associate. I sent him a photo of my chandelier ) which is 20 years old) and he took the time to find the manuel for the chandelier with a schematic of all the glass components. Let me just start off by stating the store is gorgeous when you walk in! The most luxurious chandeliers I've ever seen! But even better was the warm greeting I instantly received from Bambi (the store manager) ...even with her having a slight sneeze she still greeted me with a big smile after I offered her a "bless you" ...she also offered to be of any assistance if needed. I declined help and made my way around the store. I was looking for a particular colored lamp shade and to my surprise I found the exact color I was looking for! The store was emasculate and very comfortable with the most beautiful variety of lamps. After finding the color I was looking for I had a slight dilemma, I needed a particular piece to make the shade fit the lamp I already had. So I then asked Bambi for her expertise and she immediately knew what I needed; going over and beyond to show me how to install the piece. Lamps plus is horrible. I ordered a chandelier and it never arrived and they told me I still have to pay for it. They instructed me to file a dispute with my card company since they still to this day have an open clam with FedEx for my November order. Meanwhile, they fought my dispute and said my item was delivered, when it was not. I have a ring camera in front of my house and there is zero delivery. I ordered in this store to have it shipped to home and I would caution anyone shopping here because you may not receive the product you paid for and still get stuck with the bill. read more

Racist staff! My mother went to look for lighting fixtures for our newly built bathroom. She went into the store with the expectancy of being treated like all the other customers. As soon as she went in, the manager passed by her and gave her dirty glances. Then this white couple comes in, and as soon as they did, the manager goes straight to them and says, "Hi, welcome, how can I help you?" Yet to my mom for being Hispanic was ignored. Not even a hello, or acknowledgment. Then my mom asked, "excuse me, can I be helped?" The manager was like, "oh, let me find somebody to help you." After that, this man came to "help" her. He asked, "what do you want?" My mom let him know, "can I see your catalog, I'm looking for these specific lights." Then he said, "sure" after 2 minutes of "helping," he says, "excuse me, I will be back." He leaves her standing there for about 15 minutes as he goes help this other older white man. The employee treats the man with more respect than my mom. The employee was chatting with the man at a desk and laughing with him. While my mom patiently waits. I just want to let you know. Only because we are Hispanic and dressed in our casual clothing does not mean that we can't AFFORD your lights! You have lost us as a customer, and you sure will lose more customers. I went to purchase a lamp shade. Walked in 6 workers standing and talking at front desk. Asked where the lamp shades were they were able to stop talking long enough to say to the right in the back. Keep going you will find them. Found my own shade paid went to my car to get another shade to check for size. Again no one said can I help you. Alicia is amazing! We got all of the lighting that we needed all from one place. It was a great experience, and the deals and selection are incredible. There is a light for every room in the house in every imaginable style. Alicia gave us time to look around before approaching us. I like when the agents give the buyer some time to soak it in. It is definitely overwhelming to walk into this store because the huge amount of inventory that they have. Alicia was well versed in the appropriate fixture dimensions for certain rooms, the color light bulbs, the suggestion to use a longer light fixture for over our staircase, and she received my overall vision extremely quick. She offered multiple options, colors, and her expert opinion. I value an agent who knows the products, and shares their wealth of knowledge in the field. I read online that Lamps Plus has Price Matching. I found a Lamp online listed at several sites for $109. Lamps Plus was listed at $159. I called the LP store I had purchased Bar Stools from recently, & asked if they Price matched. The reply was "Yes". I gave the Lamp information, she checked & came back & said they could not give me that amount of the price match, but offered me a discount. But after looking for two months (I'm picky) for the right ceiling light, ordering three different potential ones online only to return them, I should have just gone into Lamps Plus. i ordered four outdoor lights for $3000 and had them arrange for delivery to the house...the first two arrived 2 weeks later and were of sub par quality (for that amount of money they should be of heavy brass stock...) i promptly returned them and was asked if i would be returning the other two that were delivered...i told them i never received the other two..they told me to check my cameras and it was probably due to porch pirates stealing them...but i was still accountable for them! i filed a claim with my credit card company immediately to stop payment... a month later the other two lights arrived...i went back to the store and returned them as well! the sales lady rolled her eyes when i showed up again and wanted nothing to do with me. we are going on three months and this company put a charge on my credit card for the $3000 again!!! these people are crooks! they have broken our covenant of good faith and fair dealing ... read more

We purchased two chairs over the weekend at this location. We were EXTREMELY clear with the sales woman Delaram Kalantari that the chairs should NOT be shipped till the week of May 20th as our house is currently vacant and we won't be moved in till that week. She made a special note in the order not to deliver the chairs until that time. Then, I get an email yesterday saying my chairs have shipped and will be delivered either today or tomorrow. Seriously??? After speaking with a woman at customer service, she states that the note wasn't followed & they have submitted a reroute; hopefully it goes through... I said, if our chairs are stolen from our vacant property, it will be 100% the responsibility of Lamps Plus. If they do get rerouted, we can't have them shipped till May 20th like we wanted, she said we will get and refund, and have to buy them all over again. What a joke... read more

They have such a huge selection for a tiny place, so it took us a while to go around and check everything out. We were approached by several sales people, who were really helpful. I liked the fact that they didn't pressure us into buying anything. They let us just peruse at our own pace, but made sure that we were doing ok at the same time. When we chose our lamp, one of them made sure that we got what we wanted and talked to us about what types of bulbs we would need for the chandelier. My experience at Lamps Plus was great. I went into lamps plus to look for some help on custom rail lighting systems. After looking around a bit, a salesman stops by and asks if he can help. I tell him what I am interested in, and he sits me down to start discussing my options... good start. (What I'm explaining to him is between a $1,000 and $2,000 sale) But then 2 other customers come by to ask him questions, and he quickly excuses himself to help them out. No biggie i figure, I'll just wait around for him to address what must be a quick issue. 15 minutes later I am still waiting for the man, so i get up and start looking for him. Eventually I spot him, and he gives me his card and tells me that he is now too busy to help me out and quickly leaves. He didn't even offer to have someone else in the store help me out. The only reason this place gets more than 1 star is because they have quite a lot of lighting options in stock to get some ideas. Customer service was horrible. read more
