I hired this company after responding to a Facebook ad under the name "Go Easy Handyman." I was quoted $199 in writing for a garage door spring replacement, including labor. After the work was completed, I was charged $472.07. The final bill included additional charges (general maintenance, cables, higher labor, and a service call) that were never disclosed or approved beforehand, and I was not presented with a revised total before the repair was completed. The invoice I received was not from "Go Easy Handyman," but from "LAN Locksmith Services," which was never mentioned during the booking process. That added to the confusion. I am not disputing that the work has value. My concern is the lack of pricing transparency and communication. When I asked for clarification, I did not receive a clear explanation. I also attempted to call two different phone numbers associated with the business and was unable to reach anyone; one line routed to an automated assistant without a direct response. Customers deserve clear pricing, consistent business identification, and the opportunity to approve costs before work begins. A handle broke off my storm door and I called LAN to see if they could repair it. A technician showed up within half an hour. He had no identification and I should have asked for it. It took probably less than 15 minutes to repair the handle. All he did was attach the handle, not a new one, no other work done and it cost $280 and he would not take a check or credit card. Fortunately, I had that amount of cash in the house; usually I don't. He texted me a receipt but the company name is not on the receipt. NEVER again would I use this company and I agree with other customers. They are scammers, crooks. They were listed among the top 10 locksmiths in Louisville. I called them because I didn't have any keys to my 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The guy out there and he never told me a price.
