My girlfriend and I found sleep afloat via AIR B&B and ended up renting their houseboat in fells point for a weekend. As far as booking the room, it was easy. I called their agent in Baltimore, and he answered immediately. Mine was a last minute booking (2 hrs before arrival). I asked them if they could do any better on the price and they were able to knock 200$ off the Air B&B listed price. I met with their local contact Dominick, who was friendly and receptive. He gave me the keys and after a quick review of the boats systems he was on his way. Our boat featured a queen sized bed that was super comfortable. It also featured central air, and a nicely equipped kitchen. There were a total of 4 boats available for rent- in varying levels of luxury and size. The boat was clean, and the location was nice. Because of where the harbor is situated there were not very many waves at all. The only downside to the whole experience was the 175$ cleaning fee that is automatically assessed after each stay. Overall, not a killer deal by any means, but definitely a cool-unique experience.

My goal was to sell my house and move to Florida with all my pets. She was able to sell my home within my projected time frame and made the process a breeze! I dealt with leaky sinks, flickering lights, bugs (of all kind), mold, holes in the floor, termites (see photos), and a flood (in which I ended up saving their entire building because their maintenance team is any average Joe that can hold a wrench). I received numerous automated texts saying that a pest control service would be coming, which they never did; management either didn't care, didn't pay attention, or both. The few responses I got from management were dismissive, passive aggressive, and unapologetic. I don't even believe "Heather Betz" is a real person, more like an AI programmed to dismiss your requests and keep your money. After cleaning up thousands of termites daily for two months, I broke my lease without penalty one month early. No penalty was the one fair thing they gave me, after they blamed the termite issue on ME, the TENANT -- all because I did not initially recognize them as termites; in the maintenance request I called them "bugs," which was not deemed an emergency and so it got ignored. I met with the property manager in person about this, which was like prying teeth to even get that meeting because they would rather hide behind their vague and passive aggressive emails all day than face the humans who they must know they treat so poorly. They are lucky I have not reported them to the Health Department. Disgusting treatment of people.
