So juicy and crunchy
Kristof T.

Yes, pickles!! It's a bit tucked away but it's worth finding. The owner and staff are super nice and they will let you sample whatever you want. And these pickles are so crunchy and fresh: garlic (by far my favorite), hot, dill, horseradish, sauerkraut, and taco (their specialty)! Admittedly, a bit on the pricey side- $10 for a quart, $7 for a pint- but you'll know where that dough went when you bite into that pickle!

Love the different do flavor of pickles. We got to sample them, and if course bought some.

Hard to locate but well worth the journey. I live the taco pickles and I bought a succulent. Cute vibe and area!

This place was such an unexpected find in downtown Lancaster. As a kids growing up in Pennsylvania,…read moreI was long fascinated with international foods and snacks. I can only think of my teenage self finding this store. I loved trying new foods and learning about the different tastes and interests of other countries. The snacks here cover the globe. There are the Asian snacks like the Japanese Botan candy with edible wrappers made of rice to very hard to find snacks from France including naturally flavored lollipops and famed potato chips in various flavors. There is also an interesting range of chocolates here. The store is tiny but makes use of the space by packing the shelves. It's definitely worth the stop!

We tried the jamón/ham-flavored chips (a little pricey at $7 for a large bag, but fun to try) and some floral-flavored Skittles that genuinely tasted like flowers. On the drinks side, we went with the Rouge flavor from Orangina, which was delicious. The staff were super friendly and gave us honest recommendations instead of just pushing the popular items. Highly recommend if you're looking for something fun and a little different to do. The store is broken up into two sections across from one another in a store complex area (snacks on one side and drinks on the other). It's on the smaller side but a very chill vibe! It's a great place for browsing, snacking, and finding your new snack to try.

I think it's because there just aren't any competitors in central PA (closest H-Mart would be 1.5h away, ASSI plaza 1h away, etc). The produce selection looked ok - you could get things like thai chili peppers here, bokchoy, or more exotic things like lychee and jackfruit. There are a lot of aisles with dry goods like rice, noodles, sauces (they did carry jarred Maeseri thai sauces which is what I was looking for). They have a seafood section which had a strong smell and a "food court" with labeled fresh food items which was pretty barren - maybe 2 takeout things of dumplings on the shelf that didn't look particularly appetizing (visited on a Sunday around noon). Also, notably, the store is not in downtown Lancaster -- it's kind of remote from everything else. I don't think it would be worth making a special trip for.

I'm so happy this grocery store exists and love to visit as often as I can. The store is clean and…read moreorganized and I love the produce selection. The staff is very helpful and the seafood counter is a great place to try fresh fish. I picked up some mackerel last time I visited and the seafood clerk was able to filet it to my specifications. I also love that I can get Hotteok (Korean sweet pancake) mix here! There's such a big selection of items and I always find new ingredients here that I can create new delicious dishes with. I always look forward to my next trip!

Luckily, I had an event close to Lancaster that allowed me to make this quick stop to check this place out. It's located next to a Disney outlet store, too! Pepperidge Farm is a classic snack staple in many households, and I was really excited to see what offerings and discounts they had. They had gift baskets, bulk items, discounted Goldfish crackers, cookies and more! My favorite area was the freezer section, where they had puff pastry sheets in bulk (at a fairly good discount), frozen soups, lasagnas, and more. If you end up purchasing their Pepperidge Farm reusable bag and bring it back for future purchases, you get 15% off each time (on top of all discounts). There's plenty of good deals here, as I maybe got about 5 boxes of puff pastry sheets and 5 bags of cookies + goldfish for about $35! The staff here are super friendly and show you around, and there's a lot of interesting flavors and even gift baskets for people to check out. As you walk around, you forget that Pepperidge Farm also makes things like stuffing, bread, and other items. Everything is neatly placed, and it's super relaxing to walk around and browse everything. Check it out if you can!

I brushed that off, but then she pulled out her personal cell and started talking to a friend right in front of me. She didn't tell me it was time to pay, speak to me, or even look at me. When I paid, she grabbed the receipt and waved it at me, still not even looking my direction while talking on the phone about plans with a friend. I said "have a nice day" trying to be friendly, in case she was having a bad day, and still no response. Horrible service. Don't work in retail if you can't provide good customer service.
