I've purchased a lot of cars over the years, so I feel like I have a pretty significant amount of experience to compare against them. I recently acquired a used 2018 Range Rover from them. Despite the car's age, they were very proactive with ensuring it was in excellent condition through their reconditioning process, and they also took care of a couple very minor cosmetic issues that I didn't notice until after I took delivery of the vehicle. My salesperson, Nathan, was very responsive to my messages and went above-and-beyond taking care of my questions and requests. Even though I purchased the vehicle long-distance, he treated me just as important as a local buyer, and the dealership's capability for e-signing documents meant that I didn't actually have to spend all that much time there when I arrived to pick up the car. In summary, I am blown away by the sales experience here. Should any friends/family in the area wish to shop for a vehicle in the future, I will gladly recommend LR San Antonio, secure in the knowledge that they will have a good experience and get a good car as well. read more

Dealer picked up on Friday and by Tuesday service tech informed us that this vehicle has had this known issue with previous owner who traded it for a new one as they couldn't fix it. Why would dealer sell this unit knowing it had issues? It's been 2 weeks and although we were told they would get us in a new one, no one is returning my calls to make this right! I bought a Lexus LC500 from this dealership and the sales process was average. Part of the sales agreement was to have my windows ceramic tibted. It took several weeks for then to get that scheduled. Upon picking up the vehicle, I noticed my window green had been burned. I notified the manager before leaving the dealership and they said they would order a new one. That was in September 2025. It's April 2026 and no one will answer my calls about this. It's always "Let me check on that for you and I'll call you back ". New problems - I have tried to schedule my service since March 18th. They claim to offer free maintenance for life for veterans. They are now claiming they didn't have my veteran status in their system so cannot offer that. I was assured when I bought the vehicle it was part of the "benefit" for buying from them. The ceramic tint they I stalked also had bubbles in the back window. This was a $100k sale for them. I have never been as unhappy with a dealership and their customer service. Purchased a used vehicle from Land Rover San Antonio less than 30 days ago, apparently it had gone through their multipoint inspection process they pride themselves in and had 2 safety related issues arise that in my personal opinion the vehicle never should have been sold with, that they denied a solution to after it had been brought up multiple times. Calls when I get off: "Hey it's not done yet, hoping you can pick it up tomorrow morning" mind you.. when they ran the tests and found the issue.. they said it would only take 30 minutes to fix because it's easy. The service department is not good. They had our vehicle, which is brand new, for over 30 days and they struggled to diagnose and fix the problems. Nobody senior from the dealership ever called us to offer their apologies or demonstrate that they cared and were on top of the problems and the significant delays that we experienced. If I could give negative starts I would. Very unprofessional and lack of customer service. Don't run complete diagnostics on your vehicle and very unbecoming of a "luxury" car brand. Went in for a battery change once completed a week later was hit with a coolant leak they they somehow didn't see on their diagnostic test. Got car towed in with an appointment then told they couldn't see my car until 3 days later and couldn't get a rental. Kept calling back and forth for days to no avail about any updates. Finally got the car back 6grand later and within two days guess who had to jump start their car due to a faulty battery. They still have my car in and still have yet to be contacted by any management after asking repeatedly. Will be in touch with corporate Monday morning. read more

I was interested in this E400 Mercedes they have in stock and when I reached out about it they mentioned it will be at Mercedes getting a recall done (fine no problem) the salesman I spoke to by the name of RENE GONZALES gave me call and mentioned once they get the vehicle back from Mercedes they would be doing a 160 point inspection (common practice for all dealers) and stated they will be adding new tires, new batteries, etc. before I go in and see the car, almost a week passed by and I hear no word until I reach out and advise I'm still interested, Rene then sends me a text stating that I would have to split the costs of the maintenance that will be done on the car, how in the hell is this even logical, that should be handled by the dealer and is part of getting the car road worthy and ready for resale, stay away from this place and if you notice the picture of the dash is two different cars so I would be suspicious if I were you, STAY AWAY!!! read more

An absolutely shameful experience. I expected better. This dealership failed to provide my copies of the purchase paperwork until 55 days after I bought the car. This prevented me from registering the vehicle on my own, despite the agreement that they would do this. Of course here at 55 days, they still have not made any progress whatsoever on submitting the paperwork for registration. My lien holder has threatened to raise my interest rates since the loan is not secured through registration, and in 4 days I will no longer be able to drive the car as the temporary tags will expire. I have largely been ignored by all levels at the dealership (the original salesman, the finance personnel, and the general sales manager all ignored emails over the past nearly 2 months attempting to complete this transaction.) Not once has there been an apology or a proposed solution to permitting me to drive my purchased vehicle without threat of fines or penalties once the tags expire. This dealership is easily the worst I've dealt with in my entire life. read more

Can we give negative star reviews? Let's not fool around here. When you buy a LR/RR you are buying a luxury vehicle. There should be respect for the process and the purchase. You won't get that here in the last 5 years. Quite honestly, we have purchased 4 LR/RR vehicles (new) in the last 10 years and got the last two out of town because we couldn't bear to deal with these guys again. There is a good reason there is another (better but not great) dealer just up IH-10. Service is TERRIBLE. They will tell you that something is needed that isn't. You won't see the same service people in 6 months because they leave. It is common to have to go back because they don't have parts or didn't do the work correctly the first time. The "suggested service" list is just appalling. They suggested $7k of service on a 1 year old car. We went to another dealer and they only did the oil change with nothing else suggested. Communications are non-existent in both Service and Sales. You can drive up with a 2 year old RR and have to beg to get someone in the showroom to talk to you. Please let me give you $100k+!! Nice. We purchased new cars for our sons at Mazda and Subaru and had MUCH better service and support. The sales people actually knew what they were doing. They must be doing well given that they are in a HUGE new building. You'd think that they would care more about the customers. Go to Austin or Dallas instead of this dealer. Great sales people but expect nonexistent service after you purchase the car. I was very disappointed with my experience afterwards trying to get help with initial setup of the car and then later with attention towards a service issue. I tried calling them but was redirected to my sales contacts without ever having received a return phone call. Seems they're only interested in helping when trying to close a sale. You would think spending 6 figures on a car and buying all those added protection plans would get you better service and help when needed. Okay, so I'm not sure if these guys are criminal or just plain incompetent. I had my 2015 Jaguar towed there after my only key was stolen. I chose them as the closest Jaguar dealership and because they told me, on the phone, that they had the keys in stock, so I expected some quick reprogramming and a bill for $750-$1000. After sitting around from about 2pm until almost 7pm, constantly being told it would be looked at any minute, I was presented with an estimate for nearly $7000. This is from an authorized, main, Jaguar Land Rover dealer on a huge, impeccably presented lot with a clean, well stocked customer waiting area. A main dealer I chose because I knew how complicated Jaguar smart keys can be, and that they required some know-how and the correct diagnostic equipment. Exactly what I assumed a main, prestigious Jaguar dealer would have over a local locksmith. I was told that, on top of the new key & reprogramming - which, to be fair, was quoted at roughly $750 - I would need a new control module, fuse box, and 5 hours of labor = $6800 and some change. Obviously, this meant handing the matter over to my insurance. Long story short, Progressive were not keen on footing the bill and connected me to a locksmith who specialized in higher-end cars who gave me two new smart keys and a working car for about $750 in less than an hour! What I would like to understand is: were Jaguar San Antonio deliberately trying to rip me off, like criminals; or are their techs just complete morons who don't know how to work on the cars they're trained on? The whole mess left me without my car for a week. Because I was stupid enough to trust an authorized main dealer. Ps - after the locksmith fixed it for me, I called Progressive to triumphantly cancel the claim, and the happy assessor told me Jaguar SA were complaining that I'd authorized them to order keys. Yes, the keys they'd already told me they had in stock. read more

Highly dissatisfied and disappointed. My vehicle had been park at the dealership in San Antonio for over 6 months with no loner car given . They informed us that it had been sitting there "waiting" for a part and other services. Come to find out that they left my drivers window open. Which caused RAIN DAMAGE TO MY INTERIOR, my drivers door and steering wheel. My steering wheel is now stuck in one position and my door is disfigured. To add to the mountain of issues my trunk is no longer closing properly and doesn't open. If you live in San Antonio and want a Land Rover , don't do it. massive improvement needed at this dealership! We were told that we would need 3 months bank statement to buy a vehicle from not only them but from their dealer group. Upon arrival a salesperson told us that the individual we had an appt with was really busy and would not be able to see us. This was a lie, as she came out within minutes. We test drove two vehicles and were informed that in order to consummate the transaction- three months of bank statements would be needed. In addition, because she was unsure if we weren't to sell them to other parties, we had to agree to sign a form attesting to this. We ended up driving about five miles further west to a Lexus dealership where we consummated a transaction within two hours for a new vehicle allowing us to drive home in a new LX 570. Only one star because I cannot give zero. Horrible experience. Will NEVER go back. 1. Poor communications. We had to reach out to them to get answers 2. Told we needed new KVM module-$2500 (we just needed a new key fob) 3. Were told several times they could not get into our car that key fob was old and broken(new fob only 6 months old). Battery dead. KVM is burned up. Also they were in the car because their tools and paperwork were in my car. 4. Rude and dishonest staff 5. I had to Uber myself up to the dealership after they used my vehicle for 5 days to investigate. Two locksmith bills and two Uber rides later I insisted I get my key fob to test if I could open and start my car (which supposedly had locked itself down and wouldnt start). Used my key fob, I opened the door started the car and rode off right over to S&G automotive who has always been honest and reliable for Landrover Range Rover service. Sam and Gio are excellent and honest. Do yourself a favor and go there for service. Half the price, customer friendly, and fast! Now the dealership calls my husband to apologize. They made up a good story to cover their @$$... "We got your car and another (same model with key fob issue- what's the chance?) mixed up so when we were trying the key fob of course it didn't work". Made a Service appointment about two weeks ago. Because I knew I was going to need a loaner. My range rover has a malfunctioning diesel exhaust fluid sensor. (Car still under manufacturer warranty) So after 250 miles it won't allow for any more restarts. So they told me March 2 is your appt with a loaner. I said ok that's awhile out but I will manage my miles and I will make it: The night before about 12 hours before my appointment they tell me sorry no loaner. If it wasn't something that needed immediate attention. I would've been happy to reschedule. But They knew it had to be done. I have two small kids at home and I'm not going be without a car. I was promised a call by the service manager. Here we are hours after my appointment. No call. I'm going to Land Rover of Boerne from now on. I suggest you do the same. read more

We bought a Land Rover in February, almost three months ago. Steven Likens was our sales Representative and was nothing short of amazing! He treated us like family and was never pushy. He encouraged us to 'sleep on it' instead of making an impulsive decision. When we did decide to buy the car, he came to our house and spent over an our making sure I knew how to use all the features and was comfortable. The reason I'm writing this review three months after we bought the car is because I'm amazed that the customer service didn't end after we bought the car. Steven has nothing to gain from treating this well now that we've already purchased the car, but he immediately answered my husbands texts and helped us out now that we put a gash in our tire. Last year I left Lexus and bought a Range Rover in Boerne. The service and environment at that dealer ship was great. I am at the San Antonio dealership now for my first maintenance and it is disappointing to say the least. The staff walking around do not acknowledge your presence unless you get their attention to ask a question. My big issue is the waiting room. It is inviting as the DMV or some other government establishment that could not care less if you were there or not. The chairs are SO OLD and worn that they should be really embarrassed by their appearance. I understand that we are in COVID-19 times but for a dealership selling such expensive cars, you would expect so much more. Loaner cars? Television? I see they have one but no remote and no one to ask. Directions to restroom? Water? I truly miss my inviting, friendly and extremely comfortable Lexus dealership. read more

A wonderful experience with Service Manager Alani Rodriguez. I recently (late February) purchased a preowned Range Rover Evoque from a reputable dealer in Dallas (Palomino Motors). It was loaded, in mint condition, had only 26k miles on it, and was certified preowned. Last month the turbo went out. I hadn't even driven it 10k miles. I called Jaguar Land Rover Austin immediately of course, because it was still under factory warranty (I live in Austin). They set me up with an appointment and said it would be no problem. To my surprise, when I took the car in, my service manager, Jose, said "Sorry sir, there's no records of any service on your car, most importantly, oil changes. Therefore, we cannot warranty the turbo and you will need to pay an estimated $5200.00 to have it repaired." I said please sir, I just bought the car, it's under warranty... Isn't there anything you can do? Anything at all??? Jose we on to say "sorry sir, that's what you get for buying a used car" I said, yeah but it's still a Range Rover... he said "nope, sorry, nothing we can do". So I left and took the car to the San Antonio Land Rover dealership, where I had a much more pleasant experience. Through the help of San Antonio service manager, Alani Rodriguez, Mike from Palomino Motors in Dallas (where I bought the car), we were able to get the service record from Palomino Motors (full lube job, etc...) and contact the original owner to find out which LandRover dealerships were used to service the vehicle. The LandRover dealership in Washington had all the necessary proof we needed to ensure warranty coverage. Land Rover San Antonio replaced the turbo quickly, pleasantly, and free of charge. We called and spoke to Arturo, who took the time and effort to answer all questions and send us photos too. Being about two hours away, we weren't able to get to the lot until Monday when the lot opened again, but Arturo efficiently guided us through the steps to ensure that car would be ours. Meeting him in person was such a pleasure: he's definitely the consummate professional and he's so gracious too!!! The atmosphere at this dealer was very friendly and inviting. All the staff we met were wonderful, including the manager, Waseem, and the finance manager, Amber. The service department did an outstanding job detailing the vehicle. Without hesitation, we would highly recommend Land Rover of San Antonio. I've had my vehicle serviced a couple of times here. I've hesitated in writing a review previously due to not so great service. However, due to the service I received this last time, I just couldn't go without providing one. First, I arrive to drop off my vehicle as "scheduled". Takes almost an hour for them to finally check me in and get me on my way. Then it takes about 3 weeks before my I get my vehicle back. This is not a problem as I had a loaner vehicle and completely understand having to wait for parts. I didn't even make one call expressing concern about the delay. I understood the reason for the delay. More importantly, did not want them to rush on my car. However my issue is with the fact of what happened when I am finally told my vehicle is ready. I am called and told my vehicle is ready. Great. I go pick up my vehicle that same evening. I arrive, pay and then wait for about 30 minutes before I am told, "I was driving out the garage and heard a banging noise. I got off the car and I noticed your tire was completely flat. We will patch it up. It will take about 15 minutes and we will have you on your way. " 20 minutes later they come out with my vehicle and say they found a nail. They patched it up and it "should" make it home. By the way, "we didn't have time to wash your car." Next morning, my vehicle is completely flat. I go to the tire repair shop and I am told there was no repair and it was just poorly "plugged". Guy tells me I was lucky to have made it home. Now mind you, I live about 25-30 miles from the Land Rover service department. My drive home was at night during a drizzly evening. While I was aware I had a very slow leak when I drove it there for repair (as I mentioned to the service guy), the tire would hold air for about a week or even longer, before I needed to add a little bit of air. However, it was no where near the way they gave it to me when I picked it up that evening. It is obvious something happened while in their possession otherwise, they would not have been able to drive around to test while it was being repaired and when they called me to tell me it was supposedly "ready" for pick-up. The mechanic at the tire repair expressed concern with the poor job that was done the night before and felt it was a safety hazard. There was a pretty significant screw that was removed. Guy said he was surprised it kept the air on the drive home and was not surprised I woke up with a completely flat vehicle. He also indicated that this was completely visible and noticeable and the job done was "rushed" with no concern for our safety. Should my vehicle need any further repairs in the future, I will have to reconsider going to the Land Rover Service department ever again. read more

If there were another option below one star, I'd leave it. We bought my 2019 LR Discovery Sport on July 30. I literally had it 4 days before it had to be towed back to the dealership. Fourteen error messages popped up when I started it after leaving the grocery store. They had it over 3 weeks, and told me they had never seen some of the error messages before. They consulted with the UK, and finally gave me a verdict of that when it was painted, it kept certain things from functioning because of paint that was left behind. I picked it up, and literally had it one week and issues arose again. I called Christina (service) on Friday and she said they would have a loaner ready for me on the following Monday. Got there, and she kept me waiting almost an hour before I found her. She informed me that my loaner had been stolen out from under me and I was unable to get another one because all of the loaners had hit a 5000 mile mark and they weren't loan-able any longer. I have called and emailed constantly, and cannot get a response. From Ed, Christina, Mike, Jonathan, or anyone else. I have consulted with a lawyer and will be going back this coming Monday. I wish I could post all of the unanswered texts that I have sent. It's sad when I just wanted to buy my dream car and now, a lawyer has to be involved to take this lemon off my hands. Do NOT buy fro LRSA. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. read more
