We came in to see Renee but instead we had to deal with an older man who thinks he's young. He was joking about drinking next door and being very unprofessional. He literally asked us to 'buy the car' without even test driving the vehicle. While we were waiting, we could overhear the 'manager' if you want to call him that being extremly rude to a customer over the phone. Apparently the customer is never right as this place, which was our sign to walk out of there while we still had a chance. Horrible. Bought a vehicle in June. Still haven't gotten the plates. Can not drive a vehicle we are making payments on we cannot drive because the plates are supposedly in the mail. Honestly, actually purchasing the vehicle was great and easy. I got a car i loved for a pretty decent price. However, I'm now out over $6,000 just in repair work because they sold us a fucked up car!!! After speaking with my mechanic, and the shop we ended up having to take it to, they've seen a lot of cars from STA come in and have costly repairs. Obviously my first mistake was not taking it to my personal mechanic that same day i took it home, but we were assured several times they had just come from being worked on. Oh and the warranty they sold us didn't cover anything either. Buyer beware, but 10/10 would NEVER step foot in this lot again. read more

I went in today not anticipating on driving off in a new car but everyone who helped me (Chris, Mauricio, Jose, Clause) made sure that it happened for me, I was able to drive off in my new Nissan Versa and couldn't be happier with it. These men will all work with you anyway possible to make it an easy and smooth process, and each are very VERY patient, I felt I was being so picky with my decisions but each assured me to take my time and let me know I was not a bother at all. I totally agree with the previous review!! I wish I would have read it sooner! We were in need of a vehicle after the engine went out on ours. We ended up at south Texas auto at their Austin hwy location and were unfortunate enough to meet a guy named Mike. They tried at first to push into a vehicle with obvious damage from a wreck. Then they finally offered us a low mileage vehicle that seemed ok. The car was not the problem. We found out that Mike blatantly lied to the finance company, he is very disrespectful and on top of that he took the vehicle for "an hour" to get the GPS installed for the finance company after accusing me of canceling my appointments 3 times which was never true. At this time we had property stolen out of the car while they had it. The guy wouldn't show up for our appointments with him!! We sat home New Years Eve waiting on him. He never called or showed up after his office called and set it up. Mike showed up at my job one day and took the car. When he finally returned it about three hours later I was missing the personal items including cash out of the vehicle!! They wouldn't even return my calls when I tried to find out what happened to my stuff!!! Mike was the one who had the car so draw your own conclusions. It was there when I locked it that morning! David who also works at that location covers for him and is just as shady as Mike is. They are nothing but shady scam artists!! Not to mention the last people seen with my personal property that is now missing. Do not even consider these guys. They should be shut down!! We've learned a lesson after letting them take advantage of our situation so at least now we can warn others not to let it happen to them. Nobody deserves to deal with Mike or STA. Go somewhere else. Do not go here . My friend had a car at first they seemed super helpful . But it never turned out that way . They took her car from her with no explanation saying the bank took it ... she called her bank and they denied that answer they said she had 15 more days for a late payment. Out of this all the dealership which should be sued for there actions preyed on a weaker buyer to make money out of them, they took a thousand from her and now call it there's. They tried making her sign papers saying that after taking the car that they could probably find her something so she wouldn't be carless but within reading the papers she found that they wanted her to sign the paper that said she will be giving the car back. These people are cruel and shady as hell. If your young and looking for a car here please don't I promise you they will take you money and leave you with no car and claim the bank took it . read more

Your life will be so much easier if you just go to a dependable car dealer. I found a "nice" car in the "cars" paper offered here in San Antonio. I got there, and began test driving cars. Every car I drove had something wrong, either a body damage, a rough sounding motor, a suspension that sounded like it would fall apart any second. Or all of the above. I finally came across, what I believed to be the most decent car on the lot. The salesman "Nathan" said they had just got that particular car that morning. I drove it and noticed it pulled to the right, the suspension was rough, and the brakes had a weird grab. He said there was a 3 yr warranty on all vehicles, and had the car checked out. Don't believe the warranty lie, because later on the manager "Claus" said the bank wouldn't allow that. Which was crap... They said they sent the car to the shop to have all concerns addressed. It took a week. I took off work for a week, I was then working out of town. They had no paper work to prove any repairs, of course. When I received the car, I had to make a trip to odessa. I had new tires put on, and took it to a certified mechanic. 3000 dollars worth of repairs. I took the paperwork proof to the dealership, and they said it was a lie. Long story short, like the two reviews before me. Go somewhere else. These guys will screw you any, and every way they can. If you are considering to buy a car, please, please go somewhere else. If it were possible to give this place 0 stars, I would. They seemed to be very nice at first, but I had a gut feeling that something fishy was going on. I ignored it against better judgements. They sold me a used 2006 Kia Rio with low mileage. The interest rate was ridiculously high and they tried to say that the price on the vehicle was not the actual price, although we had seen the price online previously. We even showed them that it was advertised online at the lower price. They begrudgingly agreed. After sitting at the dealership for the better part of a Saturday and jumping through innumerable hoops, they let me take the car home (before the loan was even officially approved. Not very professional). Literally 20 mins after I drove off the lot, the check engine light came on. I tried calling them but of course no answer. I tried calling the next day and leaving messages. No answers or call backs. It went on like this for the next few days. Finally I took the car to Auto Zone for a check engine light check. There was an exhaust problem with the car that would be pretty pricey to fix. I was completely upset. I had just bought this car. Turns out they finally called me back about 5 days later and totally disregarded the problems I was having with the car. The only thing they were interested in talking to me about was the fact that my loan was having trouble being approved. The man I did the whole deal with was named Cesar. He continually cut me off and would not let me speak when I tried to bring up the issues I was having with the car. Very rude and condescending. After I finally talked over him and was able to get it out, he actually said this "Well if you can help me get this loan approved, maybe we can help you with your car. But until then.....". HA! I requested my down payment back and forfeited the whole transaction. They begrudgingly gave me my money back and we parted ways. They did not seem apologetic nor did they believe that what they had done was wrong. To sum it up, always trust your instincts! This place is EXTREMELY shady and will scam you in one way or another. Their cars were not in good shape and were way overpriced. Avoid a nightmare/headache and just go to a more reputable dealership, please! I ended up going to Knodel motors and they were honest and wonderful to do business with. This place is horrible! read more

We went to the one on austin hwy, the only good thing about this place was we lost 1k we made back 1k and got to see a great show..The salesmen kept saying "I'm a honest guy" we dealt with more than one salesmen they did their best to make us feel bad for them and make us believe they really liked us... Our sale man Richard "yelled at his boss because he didn't get us a great deal and he likes us alot" we put 1k down on a 16k bmw..we waited 5 hours and they tried to put is in a base model car for 24k and said we weren't approved for the bmw...After that they said well we need another thousand to get you in the car and your payments will be 460 for 51 months...2 grand down 500 a month for a base model car..After saying hell no they said fine 250 for ttl and you can have it...again we said no.that's when the manager lost his mind saying "yall are passing up a great deal and for what? High interest rate?" The place is a joke I actually made a yelp account because of this horrible place...DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME they say no credit check but the banks own all the cars! read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. The staff is very unprofessional and the selection of vehicles is not impressive. I went here on a Saturday and spent 6 hours there just to have them tell me they don't have an underwiter to close deal. I made a down payment and returned Monday to have them tell me I was approved on my vehicle but the bank was closed for final approval. I then came back on Tuesday, for the third time, and waited for assistance for over an hour. Finally, after seeing staff walk right by me constantly, I pulled a salesman aside and asked for my vehicle. He informed me that they sold it to someone else earlier that day, even though I was told I was approved and they accepted a down payment on the vehicle. These people don't care at all. Dealt with the location on Austin Hwy. This business is extremely shady. The staff is very rude and disrespectful. Definitely a bait and switch. False advertising. Do not buy from this business. They listed a vehicle on Craigs List and I spoke with them about the vehicle and price a few times. I paid for a Carfax (since they don't offer a free one) and when I told them I was coming to look at the vehicle the price suddenly went up over $5000 and they said the price that was posted on Craigs List was how much was taken off the list price. I read the listing to him word for word and he was disrespectful and argued with me. Total frauds! read more

Terrible customer service, a complete waste of time, Sales guy blatantly lied to my face paid a deposit on a car, filled out the application, brought in the necessary paper work and still no car strung me along for three days and by the time the paperwork was finished the car I wanted was sold after I put down my deposit, which was supposed to "save the car" yeah right. This dealership is a complete joke and they should not be in business.
