I was the first car in at 7am for an oil change. My app said the service was completed shortly after I dropped off the car, but no one called to tell me it was ready. I called for two hours trying to get someone in service to pick up the phone and all I got was voicemail and no return calls. I finally texted Charles the owner, not knowing it was his day off and he gave me the phone number of the head of service. They didn't answer either. I finally got a text back from the head of service at 10:50 am that they were just finishing up the paperwork. 3 hours for an oil change? That's why people go to Valvoline and Jiffy Lube. I had thought that I would use the dealership to do my oil changes since it's a new car but this experience changed my mind. Poor customer service . Scheduled an appointment got there told me it would be 2-3 weeks before they could look at it because the only have one diesel mechanic ( ridiculous). Rescheduled 3 weeks out to meet with the mechanic got there this morning and said I could leave it but would be 2-3 days before they could look at it. I'm done never going back. read more

Landers is getting a star only because of Calvin in sales who is top notch. If you want a Buick or a GMC, buy it from Calvin but get it serviced elsewhere. The service department is the worst place I have ever dealt with. I called and was pleasantly surprised to be able to get an appointment quickly. I came to my appointment only to find out I was expected to leave my car there for at least a week before they would even think about looking at it. "Its policy" was the explanation. Well how about making the appointment for the day you anticipate getting to the vehicle? Or maybe, put my name in the line and I will gladly return with the vehicle within minutes for you to work on it. I had a POS Saturn years ago that they worked on and they did a great job on; of course that car I had to pay for all the work on. I was there for a recall today and it was by far the WORST I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! Immediately after they finished my truck I drove over to Valvoline for an oil change. I was quickly notified that whomever performed work to my car previously did a horrible job. The mechanics left oil, a gasket, and a huge bolt lying inside of a splash guard. They didn't attempt to clean anything after the part that was changed. I immediately took my truck back and the service advisor had an attitude and stated that "it happens" and brushed it off as if it was no big issue! Arrived to have my wife's car serviced, two individuals sitting at the desk never moved from their work area to greet us. We actually had to walk over to them and describe issues experienced with the vehicle. Someone did call once the problem was identified and again when repairs were completed. When paying the invoice, we noticed an amount that wasn't identified, no one provided an explanation. The reply when asked, "I think it was for ????" Once the invoice was paid, we had to walk out into the lot to find the vehicle, it was not brought to us or parked in a convenient location. In my opinion, customer service should be a complete package demonstrated by all staff members. Unfortunately, we were not treated with much in the way of professionalism. read more

i had used their service department before and received excellent service. I called last week and made an appointment for Monday 2 PM. Drove into the service bay and approached the service desks. There were three guys sitting there. Not one of them welcomed me or addressed me. So I told them I had an appointment to drop my truck off. One guy finally spoke up and asked me my name. He asked what problems I was having. We discussed my issues and possibly costs. The main issue was that the trailer brake service light was coming on periodically and then going away. I was leaving that Friday on a camping trip. So I thought 3 whole days would be ample time to repar it. So Tuesday goes by and no word. Wednesday comes and goes with no word. So I started calling the service advisor Thomas for an update. I received no answer on 3 attempts and his voice mail was full. The fourth attempt I had the receptionist leave a note on his desk. Thursday morning comes and I start calling around 9:30 am. After leaving a message for the service manager, Thomas calls me back around noon. They didn't even look at the truck until Wednesday and the part was to be delivered on Friday. I told them that was too late and I was coming to pick up the truck Thursday afternoon. If Thomas would have called me back on Wednesday and let me know the status, I may have been able to work around it until Friday morning. However, he didn't and left me in the dark. read more

I had an oil change performed on my car here. The customer service was nice, but I wish that the inspection report from my oil change actually matched what was on my dash. If you zoom in, you will see that three tires were below the recommended level. This made me wonder if I should trust the rest of the inspection report. I would never use this dealer again for anything. Fuel pump went out on my 2016 Truck. I was towed and sat on the lot for over a week before being checked out. I was told that it was on the rack being checked Truck was sitting in the same spot that it was towed to. When asked about it the Counter Rep. started to make excuses. I did not receive any paper work for the work that was completed, I was told that it would be sent to me, have not received it. Counter Rep will not return my call back... I was told that this was a 10K warranty repair, looks like this service department is making tons of money from warranty work with GM. read more

8:00 am appt for an oil change, 27 pt inspection, & tire rotation. I arrived @ 7:45, they didn't take the vehicle back until 10:05 am as I waited (they said they were shorthanded) brought the vehicle back out @ 10:17, service people waited until 10:30 am to tell me it was finished. Shorthanded but completed the ALL the service in 12 mins or less I think not. To top it off the next day I discovered they had rubbed the front fender against something blue leaving paint on the fender. When I went back the service manager got it rubbed out but didn't know they had a NASCAR pit crew doing oil changes & service work. Told me that the speed they got my vehicle done was due to more than 1 tech doing the work I reminded him they were shorthanded but got no reply from him. Brought my Toyota to Landers Buick GMC for an oil change. Specifically asked counter man if they had OW/20 wt. full synthetic motor oil for my Camry because that is what is recommended and that is the only oil I wanted in my Toyota. Counter man said yes they would put the OW/20 full synthetic in my camry. After job was done ,again I asked the counter man did they put OW/20 wt. in my Toyota and again this man said yes. This was a lie. When I got home I checked the part numbers on the oil they used and it was not the OW/20 oil. What they put in my Toyota was 5W/30 wt. oil. It was also stated on my invoice that they used 6 qts. of this oil when my 2.5 engine only holds just short of 5 qts. It is a shame you can't trust these service shops. read more

The sales department was fantastic!! However the service department is a joke. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday morning. They didn't offer a rental car and I didn't think it would take very long so I didn't ask! I never heard anything from them so I called right before closing time and they didn't know what was going on. So I figured I would hear something Thursday. Thursday came and I never heard anything. My husband called them and they said that they ordered a part. Didn't know when it would be ready. Why didn't they call and tell me something? Why do I have to call every hour to find out? Anyways Friday rolled around. I called to see if they had an estimated time because I am without a vehicle with 3 little kids. I need to be able to get around. Well all I got was the managers voicemail. I had already left a voicemail or 2 and they never returned my calls so I didnt bother. I called back 30 mins later...,still no answer. Called back an hour later... nothing. Called again... by this time I was getting very frustrated! I told the operator what was going on and she found someone that would talk to me. He said he didn't know anything about my car. And he would find out and call me back! I heard NOTHING!!! Finally I just went up there because my husband was about to go back to work the next morning and I needed my car desperately. So we went up there and they said they might be able to have it ready Friday. They got it ready by closing time. I need to go and have it looked at but I am going to have to find another dealership because the lack of communication and the lack of knowledge about things when people call about their car is a bit ridiculous. read more

After getting there to get my oil changed, Jeff informed me that I had to recalls that needed to be done. I was in and out of there even with having the recalls fixed in less time that what was mentioned. I came late one evening to have a key replacement. The person asked that I return early the next morning. I did. As I was approaching the salesperson that I have previously dealt with another one approached. I begin to tell him what I was there got. He was telling that it would cost 125.00 for a diagnostic check. For he needed to see why the vehicle wouldn't start. I had explained to the key case was damage. Then I told him that I wanted the other salesperson. He begin to say you can have him he came in 15mins late and I was trying to help. It took forever for the next person to get to me. I gave him my old key and it wasn't returned. I have to ask for it back. He had threw it in the trash. Mind you that the antithief mode came on and it wouldn't allow me to turn the car on. But these people dysfunction the old key where I can't use it for a second car. They are a group of unpleasant people, just there to see how much they can squeeze out of their customers. The place is close to my home, but I will be going somewhere else if I need more service. I'm not a number and customer service is a priority. We bought a 2015 Nissan Armada from this company on July 30, 2017. It is a nice vehicle and for the age, the mileage was pretty acceptable. We wanted an Armada or a Tahoe when we started our shoping that weekend, so we ended up at the Landers Buick dealership because no other dealership had one...especially on the lot with low miles. Anyway, the experience could have been better because the salesperson made to many suggestions as to what could be done: getting the price down to where we needed and asked for it to be. Then when he came back with the numbers, nothing was what we asked for, but they still wanted our $3000 down payment. To top it off, the manager tried to play hardball on the price and didn't want to go lower than what was advertised online that drew me to the vehicle in the first place. I knew he could go lower because another company said the lowest they could do on the same vehicle was an offer $500 lower than the internet price. And I looked up the average trade price which was more than $5000 lower. My husband and I walked out but were followed by the salesman with more promises that would bsrely be kept. He dropped the price by only $400 when he agreed to $500...another lie. The intrest rate was lowered which helped lower the monthly payment, but they pulled my credit again to do it. I could have gotten the same thing by going to another dealership and finding a different vehicle. What's worse, I drive my truck back to the Landers Buick place on Monday (as they told me to do) to get some little touches taken care of as they had promised in order to get our down payment and contract. When I got there my truck was fine except for what was already wrong: scuff marks in the paint on the rear driver's side, a busted out vent over the middle seat, and a new battery because the battery was dead the first time I tried to start the truck for a test drive. All I got back was a vehicle that had been washed...no new battery, no replacement for the vent, and the scuff marks are still there. To make matters worse, they put a fresh chip in my perfect windshield glass and didn't even have the integrity to tell me or fix it. Then I got the run around about the other small things being under warranty when I know the truck was "As Is" which is why they had to promise and lie about the small things they would do. I called the Nissan dealership only to find out that the warranty part was also untrue. I admiit, the truck looks good and sounds good. I don't have any real complaints with it. The truck is still a blessing; I thank God for it. I would have been fine with the small cosmetic issues being left as they were, but these people added to my troubles by ruining a perfect windshield. I wish I had paid with a check...I would have put a stop payment on it and let them have their cosmetically damaged vehicle to sit on the lot for another month. I really wish Ihad been able to get this truck elsewhere. Next time, my family needs a ride, I'm taking my business to the other Landers dealership in Southaven. The customer service at Landets Buick is not understand or trustworthy. They gladly toom nearly half my savings and kept not one promise they made...about small issues at that. But...you reap what you sow. It will come back on them.Yes, this was my first and last time doing business with them. read more

Car wouldn't start last weekend. Had it towed to the dealership on Monday evening. They may not have gotten it until Tuesday morning. Tuesday around noon, call dealership to check up. They say they don't have it. Call tow company, they say "yes the do. 7 cars down, first row from their door" Call back dealership. "Oh yea, we see it and one of the techs looked at it. Let me see what they saw and call you back." No calls. Call Wednesday. It is the battery, we will replace it and make sure everything else is ok. Nothing else until I call them Thursday afternoon. Oh yeah... You car is done and can be picked up. Friday, pick it up. Driving home I notice that the AC is no longer working. I know they tested it, because when I got into the car, it was set to full AC full blast. Get invoice. Wrong phone number on my account. I had given them my NEW number every time we spoke, yet nobody updated their records so they kept trying to call my old number. So basically, 4 days to change a battery and break my AC, which they didn't tell me about when they said they were going to make sure everything was working. So much for that. Too bad for them. I was thinking of trading in my 2012 Terrain for a new one. read more

My first American Made vehicle purchase, and thrilled with the product. The Enclave is very competitive with previous SUV I owned, and would not hesitate to buy another one if it wasn't for the service dept. Buick has the opportunity to be competitive with Lexus products given the caliber of its vehicles, if it would only step up and invest in making the service dept of equal caliber. 6 people parked in front of the service garage for the 7:30 appt. No one comes out to tell you why you're just sitting there after 10 minutes with people just walking around in the garage. Poor customer service. Left the car there for 7:30 appt for oil change, and told they would call when done. Had to call at 2:30 pm to ask if done yet. The response is yes, you can pick it up anytime. Never wait for the vehicle there due to the small, cramped unpleasant waiting room (again opposite of our Lexus service dept for our other vehicle). After all that, no wash of our Enclave as the Lexus dealer would have done. I'm trying hard to stay with American brands, but Buick needs to make it easier. read more
