Breakfast sandwich, I added a side of hash browns

We enjoy the Bay View location and love having this new location too! After playing 9 holes at Warnimont Golf course, this was a great stop for post golf breakfast. You can pick where you want to sit. The menu is simple, the staff is friendly and the place is clean. We look forward to more breakfasts here and hope to stop in for the fish fry one of these Fridays.

Right now, it's a very new restaurant in the neighborhood. We wanted to give it a try on a Sunday afternoon. It was a good call! Service: The service was fantastic -- our servers were attentive, thoughtful, and friendly. Food: I got the Green Chilaquiles and my husband got the Meat Lovers Skillet -- both were great. Their house salsa is *chef's kiss*. Ambiance: The vibe was pretty chill. There are four or so TVs around; folks were constantly in and out. Questions: They have a full-ish bar from the looks of it (with it being so new, I imagine it's slowly coming together?). I see mimosas and bloody's might be available? Couldn't tell from the current menu. We'll be back to try more.

Clean and Contemporary look. Service was excellent. Food also excellent. Will definitely go back.

It was a Boston Skillet. Yummy and what you see will be gone too.

It's kind of tucked into a corner lot so it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Trader Nick's has a wide variety of rum Tiki drinks. I'm not much of a rum drinker, but the owner ran through my drink options without my needing to ask - including a couple of vodka, gin, and Bourbon drinks on the menu. I had a Bourbon Sling and it was very tasty. My drink - with a pretty hefty tip - was around $12 - pretty reasonable, in my opinion. The owner is so nice and helpful! He checked in on our group a few times, and thanked us for visiting more than once as we left. He seemed genuinely interested in whether we had a good experience. One of the two resident dogs was cute, but he didn't seem to like me very much. I got a little growl and bark - yikes. The only thing I think could be improved is the addition of food, or at least some snacks. Especially since most of the drinks are liquor based, it would be helpful to have some food with the drinks.

Nick is like a walking encyclopedia of spirit and distiller knowledge. I mean this in a historical PBS way. You'll learn about funny crazy bootleggers, prohibition, sailors, and historical facts about cherries you never imagined. On my second visit the barkeep remembered my name. If that doesn't make you feel at home I'm not sure what will. Nick knows Rum. Let me say this again. Nick knows Rum. He will make you a cocktail that's perfect and delicious and tell you its story. Yes. This is a tiki bar. So there are sweet options, but if that's not your thing tell your barkeep. They know what cocktails to make you. Did I mention how adorable this bar is? They have an impeccable tiki glass collection. Lots of local wood art work and all the tiki vibes. You can have a beer too if you are not in the cocktail mood. They even bring a Hawaiian beer to the list. If you want high class cocktails that don't have all the hoity toity, but all the flavor then get in here. Some nights they have live music too. Ya see, the thing about tiki drinks is that they take a minute to make, cost a bit extra, and I drink them far too quickly. So unless you're ready to fight me up the stairs for a spot, just avoid this place. The barkeep is rad, they're usually carving a new tiki piece when open, and the menu has like 20 choices.. If you do come here, you will enjoy it. If you don't, that's fine too because I'm trying to keep this place all to my self.

Our drinks were solid I had the Painkiller, and my husband had the Love Potion. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the TVs displaying live online poker really detracted from the ambiance. We really enjoy tiki bars for the drinks and the escapism, and it was just way too hard, actually impossible, to forget we were sitting in a Midwestern bar in the middle of winter. We will probably give it another chance, when it's not the grand re-opening, but based on that first experience, really nothing to write home about.

The greeting from the hostess was warm and friendly; she is an asset and really makes you feel welcome. Once we were seated and finally finished our struggle with what to order, we got our drinks. I had to go with the One Night in Bangkok again because it's just a really nuanced and complex mix of tangy, spicy and a hint of sweet. The smoke show also is impressive. My cousin tried the Berry-cation from the summer menu and it was perfect for her - very fresh and a little sweeter. Cousin-in-law got the Thai Goddess, with tomato, and it was very interesting - not quite fruity and not overly vegetal - very cool. Our food was amazing. The first several minutes were just a series of different people saying "Oh my God" as we tried different things. There was no weak dish. We enjoyed a good mix of seafood and meat dishes, that included Golden Fungi, Phuket Jor Pu, Namya Pu, Kurobuta Pork in Panang Curry Sauce, Hung Lay Short Ribs, the Samurai Signature Set, Kinnic Crisp Shell, Nam Prik Aon, Waygu A Rockfire, Mango Sticky Rice and a complementary birthday Yuzu Cheesecake. The Pad Kee Mao was a bit spicy again and some beef pieces were a bit chewy. Downside was we got a weird table by the host stand right by the patio door, there was a lot of staff traffic and also a draft from the front door opening and customers waiting right by our table to be seated. The server was a bit interesting, not super helpful with the menu and did not check on us after plates came out.
