We are happy with this one stop shop! We had the exterior of the house painted, and 3 new windows installed. We came across this family operated company at the last Home and Garden Show and they happened to be the nicest people we met there. Before painting the house, they did a full service pressure wash and sealed up all of the cracks. They did not leave a drop of paint on the ground anywhere. Everyone that works here is courteous and helpful. The windows are a nice upgrade for the house as well and look amazing. Communication was great and they will answer any questions you have along the way. The value was worth the price we paid and I wish I could say I can't wait until the next time we paint our house because that is not going to be any time soon due to the great work they did! Horrible experience Ordered the wrong windows specifically the type of window frame for a replacement project. Claims the windows are installed correctly and done so in the only way possible. If you are wanting to have your home painted and need some repairs or replacement to the siding get more than just their estimate. They will offer a deal but only good at that moment. We were told they could repair a lot of the siding and it would look good, we are not happy with the result. He continued to try to convince us how wonderful it looks. They spilled paint on the concrete walkway which we just realized splatered on our recently installed entry floor, we now have to try to remove the splatters. They replaced siding on the second story which there happened to be an orginal contractor error and they chose to not correct the error but to just copy the same mistake. We requested a piece of the siding so that we could do the repair and then we were informed that his father was in the hospital with a brain tumor so of course we just dropped the matter. My husband and I had our downstairs windows done. We had 2 windows and a slider. We ended up getting the doggy door installed in the slider. I just want to say that the doggy door flaps hold up very well. We have a 70# American Bully who does zoomies through the door at least once a day. We've had them since October. The first rule of fight club... business, sorry, business, is that you never promise more than you can deliver. This is an unfortunate example of just this. When we met to discuss options and get a quote to have our house repainted, the process was great, very up front about costs and the process, timing, all of it. Our house is less than 10 years old, but the stucco has some cracks, and we wanted to see about getting them filled as they were painted. If it couldn't have been done, we wouldn't have bothered with them and just painted over, but we were assured, and this is a direct quote, that "it will look like brand new stucco, you won't be able to tell the cracks were there." Needless to say, we were happy to agree and knew the cost would be worth it. Problem was, he assumed that we understood that, and again, a direct quote, "it wouldn't actually end up looking like new stucco." Hmmm. We were excited that they had a cancellation and could begin our job early. We got the rundown for how it would go and what "the team" would do, which we appreciated. Turns out the team is one guy. Given the amount of time he had to complete this whole project by himself, it would have been a miracle to escape without any issues. We were not so lucky. Now, let me say this, the work where he took his time was amazing, couldn't have been happier. Though that only made it doubly frustrating to find the shoddy work in the places he was clearly having to rush to finish. We ended up with drips of dark paint on light paint (which is reasonable for a klutz like me trying to paint his own house), mismatched finishes (part of an area in matte and then become gloss), forgotten requests, and cracks that honestly ended up looking worse than if we had just left them. A lot of lines were done sloppily, and when we were assured that was the best he could do and he was never rushed, we tried to point out that there were lots of places the lines were absolutely perfect, so getting them straight was clearly possible when care was taken to do so. Paint was left on our patio cover that did not get cleaned off, and the last day of work our gate was left open. Everything about this job felt like an afterthought and unimportant. When we did our walk through and expressed our displeasure it was clear that no effort would be made to fix what remained wrong, instead an offer for a discount of less than 8% of the total was offered, which actually was offensive given the work we had done, and the cleanup that remains that we now still have to take care of. In the end we requested a more reasonable discount and it was granted, but still left with a tremendously dissatisfactory taste in my mouth. Under perfect circumstances, their guy is a great painter, but given our experience, and I do have high expectations, but when you promise what you cannot deliver and then follow that up with shoddy work, I honestly cannot recommend them unless you're a gambler and feeling lucky. read more

The worse experience of my life with any contractor I have ever delt with. I had to fight with the salesman to get things done properly and they still did not do it correctly. I would not let this company paint the numbers on my sidewalk. On the first day of the job, I came home to find the painters power washing out the back of their truck in my driveway. They left a mess around my house broke light fixtures, left garbage behind. My house was not properly prepared before they began painting. I was informed that it would take them approximately three days to complete the job. They did not work a full day in the days they were present. After two years the paint began to peel and flake off, due to the fact that the surfaces were not properly prepared. I would run away from this company as fast as i could in the further. They sales informed us that the paint would last at least ten years. I felt lied to and miss lead. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

We had the exterior of our house painted in December, 2021. Landmark used Sherwin-Williams Duration paint with our selected colors. The two crew members were always on time and prepared. The prep work was done professionally with extra care like metal caps on some facia boards and extra sanding and primer were necessary. While pressure washing, they even cleaned a spot where I had previously spilled some paint on the concrete. The body and trim painting was occomplished efficiently with quality in mind. The workers were not rushed to go to the next job. Quality exterior painting was the goal with satisfied customers. I was very satisfied and would use them again. read more

We were referred to Landmark Exteriors by a neighbor a few months ago because we needed to have the exterior of our home painted. We got what seemed like a fair price and the painters showed up on time and got the job done as promised. They were very accommodating and did a good job. They didn't need to replace any wood siding with dry rot but were able to use wood putty to fill in any areas. sometime about 2 weeks ago I was at the Danville auto show and landmark exteriors had a kiosk promoting artificial lawns they caught my eye because I am in the market for a front yard remodel. I approached them and they took my cell number, got an appointment for a free quote, and went about my business. I literally cleared my morning from any errands because I was expecting them to show up to talk and get the quote, but to no surprise, no call, they didn't show up, and no follow-up. I proceeded to call them to find out if they were still coming and a lady answered and told me that the rep would call me instead for a quote and since my place was so far from their business that they would not come to my house to take measurements and give me the estimate. As a business why do you state that you service my area and then not show up? it's frustrating to rely on businesses that do not have strong customer service. if landmark exteriors are this unreliable even to return a call or just to say "sir, we're sorry but we don't service your area and can't give you an estimate" imagine how unreliable they must be to those they do serve! in other words, if you are looking for a reliable business look elsewhere and don't use landmark exteriors. read more

Home Improvements a little at a time. Top pic is the house when we bought it 12 years ago. Just had it painted this week to a pretty gray and white. We have replaced all the windows. We used Landmark Exteriors out of Livermore for both. The windows cost more as we had 19 of them (and it was lower than others we got bids from) and because of the back to back projects we got a pretty good deal on the painting without suffering in quality. Working with Landmark Exteriors has been the worst customer experience I have ever had. We had a great experience with them when replacing over $30K in windows. We chose them for an expensive front door project. Within a year, the door stain began to show wear and tear. After an inspection from an employee, we learned there was a common issue with the stain. However, the owner (Paul) later argued with us and claimed this was our maintenance issue. We asked for the maintenance guide of which we never received. We agreed to a compromise with Paul to split the cost of re-staining the front door in a lighter color. However, two summers later Paul and team have never been able to schedule the appointment to re-stain the door. Paul now refuses to take our call or help with the agreed on re-stain. We spent close to $40K with Exterior Landmark and now we have been left with a peeling and pathetic front door. We are looking for others who have been left in the cold by Paul! read more

I really wanted to choose them for my patio doors. I heard good things from my neighbors about both the company also Taylor the sales person. However there were red flags from the very beginning. Taylor came over and gave me a quote and he told me that quote was valid only if I signed right away. But once I told him I can not make an immediate decision he told me he can only honor that quote for the next three days. On day 2, he called and tried to tell me how good a price he offered me and that I should just take it right away. On day 3, when I called him with some additional questions, he suddenly turned rude. In very polite words he refused to answer my questions and instead told me that I can either take his offer or walk away. I got additional bids later and Landmark wasn't even the lowest. Now I have another company doing my doors with better quality doors (Anlin vs Monte Verde) and better warranty. I gave them two stars only because of good referrals I got. He did not address a concern about a window being hard to reach for my mother who contracted them to do the job His response to wiping down one of the new windows that had smudges "It will get dirty in a day or two anyway". He wiped it off, but REALLY? What kind of customer service is this? We also got some furniture damaged as a result of the installations and they did not even mention this to us. Taylor sold me a sound package because I live off a busy road. After the installation of these windows, I do not hear any difference in my living room, and in fact, I feel one of the windows was installed incorrectly and is letting in more traffic noise than the old one that was taken out. Taylor did not investigate nor did he understand that the installation outside the window frame (wood frame) might be a part of the issue. None of my other windows are installed this way nor are any of my neighbor's windows. My concerns and complaints about the window being received by Taylor as a personal attack on him rather than a customer having an issue with a window that did not deliver the promise Taylor made during the sales pitch. After the window did not block the sound any better than the previous windows, he offered to sell me a shutter. I will have to have another window company install a new window correctly when I can afford it. This has been a very frustrating experience especially because he never had his crew double-check the sealings. Basically, be aware that the sound package may not be the best way to go. When I continued to ask him about the window, Taylor told me he wish he hadn't taken my business; I wish I had hired a company that carries a higher quality window and treats a customer's complaint/concern professionally. I would not recommend any contractor/owner who cannot investigate a valid concern. read more

We contacted them early March for a painting job. They seemed very efficient and eager to do a good job. However, due to the rain, it went on and on. Then, when the weather turned better, they were not here. They waited a week, then called to say when they were coming. Then they called again to say it would be the next day. Then they emailed me that they cannot do the job due to a family emergency. However, we were not in a hurry, but they declined the job, which surprised us. We had all the windows in our tri-level home replaced by Landmark this January as well as the sliding glass doors in our bedroom. They also replaced some rotted wood and painted in the front of the house. The windows we ordered arrived when we were told they would and were installed very quickly and efficiently. Unlike previous comments, our experience was great. The installers moved the furniture back when they were done and everything was left clean (and in the case of the windows themselves and the floor in my son's room, much cleaner than before the windows were installed).
