Quality Windows and Doors did a wonderful job on our new window and entry door. We had a slider door that was never used removed and changed it to a large window. Now the window is used everyday. It is open and lets the cross breeze into the house. Before the slider stayed closed and blinds shut because it made our house too exposed to the neighbor. With the window we can tilt the wood blinds but still let air flow in/out. The front door makes a big difference for our home. Submitted a request for quote on interior door replacement and installation on June 3rd. As of June 6th no quote. However, they asked for a photo of the door's opening although all required dimensions were clearly provided to them in initial request for proposal. They also made it clear a 50% deposit is required and their manufacturer does not provide pre-painted doors. A 50% deposit is beyond the 10% or $1,000 as required by California law. When questioned the response was most companies do this and they have to pay for materials and so forth. An established company should have enough capital not to require a 50% deposit. read more

Just finished my project with Quality Windows & Doors and was very happy with the finished project. I had french doors that have been misaligned since I bought the house, making them very difficult to close and lock, as well as a single swing door that had rotted. I had concerns as I am south facing and the doors take a beating from the sun year round and took the brunt of most of the rain the last couple winters. They explained which type of door would withstand the weather the best. I decided to change my french to a sliding and wish I had done it earlier!!!! The doors look great, but even better, they work great! I appreciated that they offered to let me pay the stucco guys direct, as it saved me some money. Was concerned that the job might get delayed by working with different people, but it was seamless. Julio, the installer, scheduled the stucco guys to come right after the installation. The slider did come with a door handle that was bent but Julio had a new one being shipped before leaving the job. I did have to follow up 3 weeks later but the handle had just arrived and it was installed the next day. I would definitely use Quality again for my next door or window replacement. read more

BEWARE! Worst customer service - 1st issue - delivery was a week late. Only found out about delay when I called the week before to confirm the delivery. It took 6 months for the windows to come in. Never received a call from CS on timing update the entire 6 months. Ordered May 2022 delivered October 2022. Don't deserve the one star at all. 2nd issue - on delivery day mid October not all windows were delivered, crank handle was missing on one of the windows, screw covers forgotten (black frame windows needed covers to hide silver screws) and a large picture window. Ordered 13 windows only delivered 12. Installers not prepared from the jump. They had to come out a week later to install the picture window. They promised to order missing pieces and would call me when they were in. Never heard back from CS. 3rd issue - Again I had to reach out to them re: status early Feb 23. Of course nothing was done on their end, so they decided to Drop ship missing handle to my house and they were bringing the screw covers. Billy and Jorge confirmed a date that Jorge would come to my house to install missing pieces. Finally, mid February 2023 Jorge was supposed to come between 9-noon. He never showed up and then started to blow up my phone at 12:45pm only after I called, texted both he and Billy wondering why the didn't show up. Needless to say I pissed because obviously my time was of no value to them. Finally missing items were installed a few days later. 4th issue - When Jorge installed missing pieces I asked him to I inspect the screens because they were made too loose and constantly pop off and bugs were getting in. He measured and confirmed they were not correct and he would order 4 new screens for me. It's now mid May 23 and no word from Jorge or Billy. I texted them both two days ago and neither responded as they normally would. SUPER FRUSTRATING! The saga continues... read more

I gave 1 star as a courtesy only because they sent some one to do the measurements. We are shopping for window replacements and Quality Windows was referred to us by a neighbor who did theirs 5 years ago. The person came without mask on and shoes on when he did the measurements. He couldn't give me an estimate nor breakdown on the price of the windows and patio door when I asked. He was supposed to email me the quote and a follow up phone call but I never received it. I am sure it has to do with my other neighbor who also requested a quote from him but when he was told the price she was given was unacceptable. I found out the price he quoted my other neighbor was almost double the price of another vendor. I personally think even if he thinks I may not give him the job but I am very disappointed with the service provided by simply ignoring the customer. We were door and window shopping as part of a home remodeling project, and decided to give Quality Windows & Doors a look based on their good overall Yelp reviews and the products they display. The owner, Eric, explained the various features and options we were considering. He's clearly knowledgeable, but the aggressive and long-winded up-selling was a bit off-putting. Still, when it was time to get a quote, his was one of the companies we contacted. Unfortunately, Eric was very difficult to deal with during the quote process. I sent him a detailed list of what we wanted, but we got off on the wrong foot when I included an incorrect model number that confused him. He then insisted I call him even though it would have been easily clarified by e-mail. On the call he was obviously angry, lecturing about how complicated the process is and how if we're not willing to invest the time we shouldn't bother, and other related nonsense. Surprisingly, he still sent me a quote, but it was riddled with errors -- he clearly hadn't read my list closely, and instead based his quote on a mix of the list, and what he remembered (or misremembered) from our in-person visit. On top of that, Eric's quote was ridiculously high -- Bruce Bauer Lumber & Supply came in about 25% cheaper for materials and delivery, although they had customer service issues as well. Beware. They do not stand behind their work. They installed my windows 5 years ago. Now they leak. They did the work without a permit and the windows are not up to code. They told me they charge $180. to even look at them. When their installer came out to look at them, he said they need to be reinstalled. The caulking was cracked and breaking. The caulking he would use to reinstall them is 30 yr caulking. What did they use before?? The company has coincidentally been "sold" which is their excuse to get out of standing behind their work. Funny thing though....same company name and same employees from 5 years ago. I guess this is how they ditch previous customers and avoid comeback. Don't even think about it. read more

I had an overall positive experience with a few bumps along the way. Larry, Garth and the installation crew did a great job replacing the windows. They did a thorough job and the new windows look amazing. There were two delays from the factory in receiving the correct windows and there was some back and forth between the manufacturer and Quality Windows and Doors. I am not sure exactly what happened and was told that the wrong windows came in. I am grateful that the right windows were installed - however, the delay pushed out the completion of the project for several weeks. With summer vacations cancelled due to COVID-19, we re-routed funding towards a major home improvement. Who knew a slider door replacement project could be so easy?! I called this company and spoke with 'Garth' initially intending to only make an appointment for an in-home estimate. I explained I was looking to replace a pair of 45 year old aluminum-framed sliders and preferred to match Milgard windows we installed several years back through Home Depot. Garth was professional, no nonsense, and straight-forward while rattling off options. After a 10 min conversation, I put down a (credit card) deposit and made an appt for Garth to take final measurements and place the order. About 2 weeks later, the 2 installers (can't recall their names) came out and did an awesome job. We love the doors! The windows are gorgeous and 'everyone' compliments them--especially people in the neighborhood who got windows from competitors. They work fabulously--kept the neighbors' chimney smoke out entirely and helped make the house a more comfortable temperature. Three months ago, I washed a window, after removing it, and it wouldn't lock after that, but since it didn't leak rain nor smoke, nor would it go up, I could live with that. Just now removed the top window and it won't go up or down. I called Quality, was told they notified Milgard to come to my house "under the warranty", given the phone number of Milgard to contact if they haven't called me in 48 hours to schedule. He (didn't identify himself) told me how to prop the window closed till they repair it. I may have made some kind of mistake with the widows and imagine a piece was bent somehow, but it sounds like the problem will be remedied easily. Now I'm twice as impressed as before! read more

Quality Windows & Doors recently placed a beautiful Milgard French Door in my master bedroom. The area where the french doors were installed, previously had the only windows in this master bedroom. They had to remove the windows and place the new french doors in their place. They did an incredible job installing the doors and it has transformed the bedroom. Additionally, the door they recommended is solid and beautiful. There was a slight glitch at the time of installation, because the manufacturer (Milgard) broke one one of the glass for the side panel. However, they got a new one over to Quality Window and Doors within a week. They came out the next day and replaced it. I also wanted to have a window placed in an opposite side of the bedroom wall, along with the french doors. However, Garth did some research and determined that this installation could compromise the structural integrity of the wall it was being placed on. So he recommended against it. I previously had two or three estimates from other companies and not one of them took the time and effort to determine if the wall could handle the new window. Garth and Quality Windows and Doors could have easily sold me the new window and installation. But they were more concerned with doing the right thing, rather than with more sales. i commend Garth and the integrity shown by Quality Windows and Door. I would highly recommend them for any of your window and door needs. They do quality work and are honest. Additionally, they have a great showroom. This is important because you want to see and touch what you are going to have installed at your home. Other estimates I received, had nothing more than a brochure to go along with their estimates. We were interested in getting a new "quality" front door for our home and we thought that Quality Windows and Doors would be a good place to find one. We had already purchased a "high end" new lock set for the door. Quality gave us a "high end" quote for the door and told us they could not use the existing lock set that we had already purchased, because the dimensioning for the lock installation was too "exacting". Of course they would sell us a new lock set at a "very high end" price. We took our business elsewhere, our purchased lock set installed by the company with nothing but a grin about Qualities problems with installing it. read more
