Jim did an excellent job repairing and replacing a couple dozen window and door screens in our new home yesterday. He did not try to upsell us, explained our options, and made smart recommendations. Jim works alone and on-site vs. taking away screens and bringing them back later. He came promptly at the time he said he would, and took about two hours to finish the job. He worked systematically through the house, was respectful of our space. The materials used were good quality, and the price was reasonable. Jim had quoted a price per screen for repair and replace before coming over, and he stuck to it. He left screens which didn't need work alone, gave us a price break for smaller screens, and even threw in a volume discount! Jim realized he forgot to charge us for a track he repaired after we settled our bill, but said the oversight was on him and didn't charge us. Overall an exceptional experience. Echoing others about the fantastic work Jim does. I have a kitten who decided our screen door is her personal scratching post, resulting in huge holes in the screen. Jim not only replaced the screen with a material that is pet resistant, but managed to also fix the screen door so it glides like new. He also made a brand new screen for us, replacing the damaged one that was a favorite entrance for paper wasps. I reached out to Jim's Screen Machine to have a rollaway screen installed on our backyard door. Jim was professional, on-time, and quick to respond to any messages over Yelp, text or e-mail. The entire process was painless - provide 50% down payment, he orders the screen and then returns about two weeks (after the screen has been ordered) to perform the installation. Final 50% payment is due upon completion. Installation took about 30 minutes, plus 5 minutes on maintenance and usage instructions. It's been about a month since the installation, and there have been a few rainy days - so far the screen has held up well.
