Did approach them for a couple of jobs and each went either way 1. Called them for replacing a broken patio door and they did an excellent job in providing an estimate and replacing it on time 2. Recalled them to do a shower door measurement for an in-progress shower renovation. I was not sure what he meant by "is the shower ready for measurement" and I said "yes", the guys showed up and it went ok considering they told me that "a shower is ready for measurement when tiling is done" which I did not know of because I am not a contractor and don't do shower renovation at my place every month. So they took rough measurement and told me to callback when the tiling is done so they can take accurate measurement which I appreciate. The reason for 2 stars is the scheduling guy (I believe Ray Smith - based on other reviews about HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE) calls me back and is totally unprofessional and talks very rudely which means I did not call them back for anything, might pay a few bucks extra somewhere else but don't want to deal with unprofessional folks. read more

Hands-down, five star. Cheapest, best service, and good quality. I had them replace a fixed panel window. They quoted the lowest price, and they're trustworthy. I was unavailable at the time of install and give them my garage code. The install my window in my absence and I pay them remotely with a credit card. Super easy, I got home to a nice repaired window and had to make little to no intervention at all. Plus, I had a second bad window where I was able to take the sliding panel to their shop. On trip one I had the measure it and order a new pane, then on trip 2 I brought the panel back to their shop and they popped in the new pane. The pain was about 16"x36" it was out the door, including installation for under 200 bucks read more

As much as I would like to give this local business more stars, I can only give it an OK rating for now. The window in my guest bedroom is starting to crack so my family picked this place to fix it. They gave us a quote of $150 for everything after sending over a picture. The person was supposed to come in the morning. He apparently rescheduled for 3pm but my dad didn't know they had left a voicemail the previous day so he wasted his morning. The worker showed up at 2pm and no one was around - I only know because of my doorbell camera so yet again, my family was inconvenienced by having to call over there to get him to come back. He finally arrived and was only able to measure the window and not install it. He said he has to cut it but doesn't know when he'll be back. So, we've been inconvenienced multiple times and I was hoping to have a new window in by the time my guest came over in the evening. I think they are going to give a discount for the trouble, at least I would hope so. Next time, I hope they are more clear about the process because they made it seem like everything would be fixed right away. I will update my review once the window is installed. read more

Going to be 100% transparant in this review as I believe the business deserves it. Got multiple quotes via Yelp and other recommendations (Reddits) and while Pleasanton Glass didn't come in the lowest, they presented themselves the best with clear candid conversations that were professional and prompt. They communicated with me quickly. It didn't go without hiccups though. Some issues arose after we'd OKed the quote and the glass was ordered. For some odd reason the first scheduled install date there was no glass. They communicated day of that there was an issue and we rescheduled it for the next week. Second visit they arrived and installed 1 of 2 windows. Very professional, quick and clean job. However the second window again had an issue. Third visit went smoothly. They installed the second window and it's beautiful. Would recommend and do business with again, hiccups were smoothed over very well. read more

We recently had 7 double Payne windows that went bad because of seal failure and age. Pleasanton glas said they could replace them and they did just that, Everything went as they planned. There window crew were very good , on time, respectful, and polite. A few months later we had to replace the mirrors in the master bathroom. Ray who does the dispatching of the crew's sent the mirror and shower wall crew for this installation. Nate was in charge of the job and after the install there was some little flaws that we noticed after they left . Called nate on phone and he came back, We pointed them out to him and he said no problem and that they stand behind there work and they did. He brought new mirrors and installed them with no problems. They do stand behind their work and Nate and crew were also very polite ,respectful of property and also clean up. I wanted to take a moment at write this review for The Pleasanton Glass Company (hereafter referred to as TPGC) . They replaced our old framed shower with a frameless shower and we could not be happier. The entire process was smooth from start to finish. The Pleasanton Glass Company customer service was exemplary. To start, when we were just window chopping Ray Smith took his time to talk TO us not AT us. He asked us a lot of questions so that he had an understanding of what we both needed and wanted in our new shower door. He then gave us a range of options taking the time to give the pros and cons of each option. When it came time to discuss things like handles, bars and glass finishes, Ray took the same approach. The estimating team TPGC was fantastic! They were able to quickly come in and accurately measure the space. That's not a big deal but they also were able to point out where the builders of the original house didn't make the walls 100% straight. My wife and I never even noticed but the person doing the measuring made sure to account for the super-slight lean in his project drawings so that the glass was cut on the right angle to go flush to the wall. TPGC also did a great job repairing the damage left from the removal of the old frame. The only hiccup was supply chain issues in terms of the actual glass and some of the parts but everything that was directly controllable by TPGC was handled beautifully. TPGC also came back out to add some additional clear silicon caulking when there was a slight leak. I can't say enough about TPGC's professionalism and customer service. read more

Fast response and great service! My wife and I were shopping around for a custom shower glass enclosure for our new shower and Pleasanton glass was fantastic! Their technician Victor was prompt for the measurement appointment and was very courteous. He asked about our preferences for positioning the glass and the finish of the hardware that we wanted. He measured our shower at 8am on a Monday and we got the quote back that afternoon and approved it. Victor was back at our home that same Friday at noon to complete the install. The installation was seamless and very neatly done. They had sent the technicians to measure twice - First guy didn't measure didn't measure properly the first time. Missed on the cut outs. The next time measurement was fine. Fantastic! Above and beyond. I had a glass door panel on my fireplace shatter. Brought in the whole door for them to repair just the one panel and they replaced the glass and also polished up the rest of the door to look sparkling new. It looks way better than it ever has and it was done in just a few days. I also found out that this place has been locally family owned for over 50 years (after asking about a cool old newspaper article on the wall)! It must be because of the great service. I had a scheduled window appointment for this place since my apartment window was broken by a thief attempting to break into our apartment. I called to confirm the appointment and figure out how long this would take and was greeted by a woman on the phone. I asked how long she thought the window replacement would take as I had already been waiting 2 weeks with a broken window, and she said she understands my frustration but don't direct it towards me. Very easy company to work with. I had no issues getting a hold of them to order and schedule the work. The glass splash guard went in and it finished our beautiful bathroom remodel. My only issue was that the installers, who were very nice and skilled, did not clean up after they finished. I ended up having to vacuum all the tile dust that fell from the holes that were drilled.
