When I got the machine back I found that there was a stripped screw on the auger belt drive pulley on the guard above it. I spoke with the folks at the service department there they said they were going to take care of it and frankly they never did and then ghosted me. This was 2 years ago I have since learned to fix my own machine as a result. Today I took it apart to try and see if anything needed replacing for the winter and out of the bottom of the machine fell the screw that was stripped and the two washers that went with it. The guy who dropped them in there didn't even bother to retrieve them he just closed everything up and thought everything was fine. Over the past winter my machine would not engage and disengage properly. Probably because those parts got under the break for the auger break and forced it into place causing my belts to burn. I spent most of the winter with an auger that I could not disengage and didn't find this out until today. I can't say enough about learning to fix things yourself because going to Bentley Brothers isn't going to get the job done.
