    Night walk before bed!
    Darren O.

We stay here nearly every year at least once or twice. Personally I think it's the best dog friendly Hotel on the Oregon Coast. We stay here when we don't bring our dog too as it is a phenomenal location. Not much better than staying in downtown Cannon Beach. You are in walking distance of nearly everything and literally steps from the downtown beach entry. Not the fanciest decor, but livable and comfortable for families and pets. Great place!

This hotel has clean and nice rooms. Our room was on the side and had the oceanview like we had reserved but I was expecting one if the rooms directly facing the ocean. In any case, the room was spacious. Help came right away when we had some trouble with the TV. The room was cozy and the fireplace fully equipped with a duralog and a matchbox was an icing on the cake. This room had everything we needed for the our one night stay. The coffee was good and the bed was good too.

Super quaint and spacious hotel with kitchen and mini fridge. Our stay was great. Very dog friendly and has beach access and patio area overlooking the beach. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend

It simply does not get better than this! Upon arriving, I was greeted in the office by a gentleman who addressed me by name and was beyond nice. It felt as though he was the owner. If he's not, he definitely deserves a raise! The envelope that was provided to me had my keys along with a list of restaurants in the area (what days they're open, if they deliver). It's little things like this that make a difference. The hotel also provides firewood to burn at the beach at night for $6 (super reasonable). The room we booked was a one bedroom. We got a balcony, fireplace, kitchen. It's all that you want and so much more. There is a hot tub on the property. Our balcony overlooked the beach. It is literally just steps from the beach. It is also literally by all the bars and restaurants- just a short walk. Outstanding location, room, service. If you're looking to stay in Cannon Beach, look no further. This is your place! Book in advance in the summer months.

We enjoyed ourselves so much the first time, my fiancé and I decided to make a return trip. Although both visits have been off-season (March/January), we can't see any reason not I visit year-round (guessing it's packed during the summer)--plus, you can save on the rates. We chose Land's End because if it's beach-front and town-center proximity, fireplaces, and history of strong reviews. We don't have a dog (yet!), but we look forward to returning to this pup-friendly gem in Cannon Beach again! PS: 1-star deduction: Land's End needs to fix their WiFi. Very poor strength--erratic and unreliable.

It's always great to check-in and be handed towels & blankets for our pups. This place is more than pet-friendly, they have everything set up so pet owners can enjoy themselves and clean up after their pets. Thanks to Bret (?) Who always offers up great local food recommendations and insider tips to this tiny, sleepy-looking but jam-packed town.

VERY small. Must get on the floor to access

Very disappointed! We planned on staying 4 days. The location is beautiful. Right on the beach. But, the room is NOT comfortable at all. Couch is made like you're sitting on the floor. Refrigerator is very small and again you need to get on your knees to get in it. No comfortable chair to relax in. And the queen bed was crammed into the room. Maybe a foot on each side to the wall. Heat didn't work and no additional blankets. Overall....the room was extremely uncomfortable! I also told them when we checked in that my husband has mobility issues. To access the room it was up 2 sets of stairs. They were short, but after 6+ trips up and down the stairs getting our belongings in, a guest next door to us said we could have drove up to the fence and easily accessed our room with NO stairs. Uugghh... Lastly because we left after 1 night, the hotel added 25% to our bill because we canceled 3 nights. We won't be back!

We've stayed here 4 or 5 times in the past two years. This place is clean, modern, with comfortable furnishings, helpful staff AND it's the only lodging in downtown Cannon Beach that accepts dogs. It's literally steps to the beach and almost every room enjoys an ocean view and comes with a fireplace and a Duraflame log. It's three stories high, with no elevator, so if you aren't up for stairs, ask about a ground floor room. If you stay here we can recommend Lazy Susan's Cafe for breakfast and Sweet Basil's wine bar for dinner. Ask the desk clerk for directions to either place. Do check rates in advance. The town is a tourist attraction and rates vary by season.

We visited Land's End at Cannon Beach last week. We have been going to Cannon Beach for the last 13 years, but we've always stayed at another location, off of the beach. We decided with our boys getting a little older, that we wanted something beachfront, to be able to enjoy the beach easily! We researched and researched, and called several locations to find out about rates and availability. We were so impressed with the customer service on the phone with Land's End! They were genuine and personable, and we booked our 4 nights with them immediately. We were even more ecstatic to find out the personnel and accommodations were even better in person!! Everyone was so kind, eager to help any way they could, and worked to make our vacation as best as possible! Our room was perfection. The views were unbeatable, and the updated room was more than expected! It was great to have a kitchenette and be able to make food in our room! Beyond our expectations! They provide you one duraflame log each day..I've never known another hotel to do this..it was a sweet gesture that we took full advantage of, and even purchased more as we enjoyed the fire in the evening! They have beach toys available for little ones to play with, and movies to borrow for your stay. We loved where we used to stay, and have been loyal to them for the last 13 years, but after this stay, we look forward to making Land's End our new home away from home when we visit! Our stay could not have been more wonderful, and we can't wait to come back again!!

On the main drag of S Hemlock, a short walk to a grocery store, Tolovana State Recreation Area, and the beach, as well as a few restaurants. The compound is a series of buildings with rooms that you enter from the outside. We were upstairs with our balcony overlooking the garden, which was nice. The day we checked in, the woman at the front desk was helpful, but for me, with a hearing deficit, she talked fast and I relied on my wife to interpret for me. No big deal, though. They offer cookies individually wrapped, which is a nice touch. In the lobby are tea and coffee. Our room had double queen beds, was clean, and had all the amenities: mini fridge, microwave, and hairdryer. Strangely, we found that our heater was on, and we had to investigate how to turn it off. There is no A/C, at least not that we saw. However, it does not seem to get hot there, so with the window open, not an issue. The bathroom had a small tub/shower but nice fan and great water pressure. The TV worked fine. The first morning, we checked out the complimentary breakfast. You have to walk across Surfcrest St into another compound called Lodges at Cannon Beach and back in the corner is the breakfast room (there is a sign that leads the way). However, we were not impressed. Except for the sausage, biscuits, muffins, and juice, we were not impressed. There were no scrambled eggs that morning, just hard boiled. I'm not a fan of biscuits and gravy. They don't have a waffle maker, so the waffles had been sitting out and, for us, not edible. Ultimately, we skipped the breakfast the next two mornings. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning and tidying up our room each day. We appreciated that. Besides the unimpressive breakfast, I only had one other issue. About dusk the frogs start up in the pond at the center of the garden area where most rooms overlook. They are continuous and loud, so that we had to close the window to be able to sleep. There is a fan in the room, but we like fresh air and were unable to enjoy it. Overall, we were happy with the Inn At Cannon Beach.

Check in experience with Elizabeth was super smooth Scott was there his back up. I was shown a map including a list of places to eat and told about the wonderful DVD selection they have and how to find the menu for it online. I was also offered cookies that were not just for checking in but anytime during this day. I decided I probably want to try each of them just, you know, for research purposes. Happy to find a bag of saltwater taffy in the room and a comfortable table to work or dine at in a sunny nook of the room. The bathroom area is spacious, though the tub was out of commission which also was reflected in the room rate. There was a shower which makes things speedier and some nice bath amenities especially the bath salts. Fireplace in the room with a TV screen that doesn't dominate. Conveniently there was a small kitchenette area with a microwave and Keurig as well as mini fridge. All the things that matter when you're on a quick trip. The grounds are beautifully kept. Maybe because it was a sunny day or maybe just because everything about the area seemed quite well cared for including the rocking bench and the bird feeders where is the nearest feather friends actually feed. The attention to natural details is lovely. One more thing. I thought I had dropped my cars keys accidentally in rhe parking area and Chelsea was very helpful searching for them. Appreciate the thoughtful staff very much.

However, personally, I have not felt welcome here,…read moreand I also observe that many of the stated amenities or "perks" are not available, not working, or just not.....it's been death by a thousand cuts for me, and it's on top of the multiple racial micro aggressions I've experienced in this town in less than 24 hours. 1. Upon arrival to check-in, I observed one person at the reception desk being helped by the sole staff member, plus several folks hanging out in the lobby. After checking that no one else was waiting, I sat down to wait. They all left and I was the only person waiting. Of course, a white woman strolled right up to the desk from outside just as the other guest left, and instead of telling her I was there first, or even acknowledging me at all, the white staff person just helped her. 2. They say that pets names are on a welcome board when you arrive. My dog's name was not there and the board was tucked away against a wall. 3. I'm traveling alone with a dog, so I unload everything before bringing my dog into the room. After lugging everything to the door, my key cards did not work. When I went back to reception, there was no apology, or anything about accountability. Simply "oh let me fix that." 4. The room says that the TV is equipped with AppleTV, and even has a special button for it. Does not actually work. 5. They say they provided cookies in the lobby between 4-6pm. I checked in just after 4pm and there were none. 6. I took my dog out to sightsee and when we same back, again with my hands full, the key cards did not work again. So, I have to leave my belongings at the door, and run to the lobby with my dog in tow, to get the fixed AGAIN. funny how that happened again. 7. When we did open the door to the room the first few times, the smell of "old lady perfume" was so strong. I asked the front desk if that was intentional and she said it must be a cleaning product. It is way too strong and I can still smell it on day 2, even after airing the room out as much as possible. 8. The shower head is covered with lime, and the spray options do not all fully function due to how clogged the shower head is. 9. The bedding is way too light for the climate. So then you run the heater, and get too hot in the night. 10. The outdated fridge runs loudly at random times in the night. I'm on a long road trip with my dog as we move to Canada, and we've been on the road for 2 weeks and been to 5 states. I decided to splash out on this hotel because I'm a huge Goonies fan, and my dog loves the beach. Overall, I'm disappointed and I'd say this hotel is not worth it at all. I will not stay here again. For this amount of $$$, plus dog fees for me, this value is abysmal.

As my…read moreprevious review states, the view is incredible and it's always a fantastic stay every time. I wanted to add some details: You get 1 parking spot per room for the duration of your stay which is amazing and quite literally feet away from the famous haystack entrance. Bigger cars might prefer more ideal spots along the sides of the parking lot to reduce congestion of the entrance but those are limited. So plan the times you leave accordingly. Their booking system is different from anywhere else we've stayed. For the dates you stay, at check out, you get dibs on the same dates the following year. Which is why many guests have maintained the same reservation for many years. (That is also why it is always booked out) We see some of the same people every year which is also cool! It will require a $100 deposit which will be deducted from your total if choose not to book the following year. Otherwise that same deposit rolls over year after year. I found the full size refrigerator amazing for new moms who breastfeed and need to freeze their milk. I was able to continue my breastfeeding journey on vacation which I'm grateful for. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need; silverware, dishes, new sponge, dish soap, salt & pep, roasting pan, frying pan, pots, cast iron skillet, microwave, oven, coffee etc. So for families with small children, this also means snacks & mealtimes can be cooked inside your room. (We stop at Costco in Warrenton on the drive over!) If you want the biggest room, choose room #5. It is up a flight of stairs so keep that in mind. It's so spacious. There's a back room with 2 queen size beds, tv & vanity. That's where our kids sleep and plenty of room to play. Bonus, there a door separating the main part of the room where there is another queen bed, kitchen, fireplace and of course, the killer view. They are very strict (as they should be) about fire department requirements regarding how many people can be in each room. There are zero exceptions to maximum capacity. So book accordingly, not based on how many beds there are. Children are included in that count. There is no traditional turn down service but clean towels are provided every morning if you wish. Guests are asked (or have been in the past via the handbook) to remove their own trash which is right under the stairs requiring little to no effort. Also to remove shoes at the door to prevent sand buildup on the carpets as it's difficult to remove. Out of respect for Rosa (who we love) and her staff, we make sure the room is clean of any dishes, garbage before we check out as well as stripping the sheets and leaving on the bed for easier turn down for the next guest. Dogs are allowed on the property granted you pickup after them & remain respectful. No leaving dog unattended. The lower rooms have direct access to the backyard for easy potty breaks. The weather here is kinda funny in the earlier months of the year because it will forecast rain the whole week and be sunny/beautiful for at least half the day. That said, it is windy sometimes with king tides so walks on the beach are dependent on that. Hope this helps! Check that website for opening dates and may the odds be in your favor!!

I misread the check in instructions and confused myself, so I stopped by the office to confirm I was in the right place for check in. The lady working the front desk went above and beyond. Not only was she able to quickly confirm my reservation info, but I was talking about our party and she offered to move us into side by side rooms. She also helped us check in a few hours early! We checked into 101 & 102. The rooms in this building are paired where two adjacent rooms share a private staircase, so we were directly across the hall from the rest of our party--perfect setup for us! The ground floor appears to be used for storage and the room entrances are at the top of the short staircase. It was wonderful to not have any downstairs or upstairs neighbors! We had 2 adults in 101 with a king bed. In 102 we had a king and a separate twin bed which was absolutely adorable! The twin was nestled into an alcove by the window with a curtain to block it off and a separate light switch. The rooms looked exactly like the pictures. We were blown away. Such cute design features and looked fresh and updated. The bed linens were crisply white and luxurious. The furniture was modern, stylish, and all felt intentional. It is a small studio space with excellent storage throughout. Despite not listing ocean views, we were actually able to see a peek of the ocean from the large windows which also let in fantastic natural light! As we made our way with our toddler along the very short walk to the beach access, a second hotel employee stopped us to give us a friendly warning about the winter tide/waves. I was surprised that someone would go out of their way to share information to keep us safe. Just another example of exceptional customer service. If you love the downtown cannon beach area, this location cannot be beat. You are just blocks (steps really!) away from coffee, pizza, restaurants, shops and candy stores. The shower was fantastic. Clean, cute, and the provided shower products smelled great. The fan and heat lamp in the bathroom are on convenient timer switches. The mini split provided wonderful temperature control and was both quiet and efficient with warming up our room. This hotel feels like it is small business owned and we could not have been happier with our stay. Such a great value. We are already making plans to come back. Thank you for a great experience!

We called the office and someone brought us fresh towels. The service is lacking to say the least. While I'm at it: the mattresses are due to be changed out along with the furniture. They are saggy and no longer supportive. The view is awesome! The flagship rooms need major attention, paint and deep cleaning. The staff that we interfaced with might consider a service adjustment. At over $400 per night people expect a bit more than a Motel 6 attitude. We hope next time we come to Cannon Beach that things will be better.
