I told her I didn't ask about cancelling but pausing. She said there's no pausing, again in a harsh tone. I might join again when I have more time. The pools are virtually unusable. If you take a tour and they try to give you the line that the therapy pool is around 95 & the regular pool is about 86, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! The heaters have been broken for MONTHS now. That's right, I said months. The temp today was 76 in the therapy pool & 78 in the main. Even when they were working, the temps would range wildly. They were never the same temp twice. The therapy pool could be 83 one day and over 100 a few days later. They. Just. Don't. Care. They refused to add proper chlorine to the pools for months as well. It took repeated calls to the health dept to get them to FORCE them to get it up to level. "Oh, how bad could it be?" you ask. The proper level is supposed to be 7.2. The therapy pool was .2 to .5. For MONTHS. That is very dangerous & unhealthy. They were cloudy all the time and smelled. The saunas were down for a long time. I was told there was black mold in the ladies locker room one for a very long time, but even at that, they refused to fix it. Or CLOSE IT! Even with black mold. The showers were broken for over a year before they got fixed despite dozens of requests to fix them. It was not a complex plumbing issue, it was REPLACING A SHOWER HEAD!! Get the picture? They care about your money, not you. Then they will not spend any to keep things fixed. They will tell you anything to get you to sign up, but if you ever have a problem, you are all the way out of luck. So if you believe the "C" in "YMCA" stands for "Christian" - nope. WWJD? Care enough about people to keep things fixed.

It's only May so it's about to get brutal once the temperatures outside go up to 90 or 100 defrees. On Monday because of the ac not working I go to the broken aarow location to do cardio and then I drove to this location (woodland hills) to work out and lift weights. The woodland hills location needs a need ac unit bad. The staff has said it toast. Well when I was at the broken aarow location doing cardio Monday because their ac works good there the broken aarow location said that they got approved for a brand new ac unit. I thought that was crazy because they don't need a new unit. Woodland hills is the one that needs the new unit. It makes 0 sense to me. The broken aarow ac works perfect there. that's why I do cardio there. Hopefully woodland hills gets the ac fixed because right now it's not that hot outside and the temperature yesterday was 79 degrees at midnight when I went. In the upcoming weeks it's about to get brutal.
