Still our all time favorite seafood place in the Tulsa Metro area. This time our crab was slightly overcooked so it did make it hard to get the meat out of the shells. Service was amazing like always and food tasted so good! It wasn't busy when we first arrived but when we left the place was filling up. Arrived right when they opened on Sunday. Quick service, generous portions today, fresh and delicious. We ordered mozzarella sticks, fried shrimp basket with sweet potato fries, 1 lb snow crab legs, and 1/2 pound of scallops. I love that you can pick your spice level so everyone is happy with their individual tastes. I think arriving earlier in the day made this experience better for us. It can get pretty busy, especially on Saturday night. You might have to park at the mall and walk over. That's not too big a deal, though. The place has a neat ambiance to it, and is decorated pretty well, and the food came out relatively quickly despite the rush. However, the cost of the food isn't necessarily worth what you get, at least it wasn't for me. I ordered the steamed oyster appetizer, and while they did a pretty decent job cleaning, there was still grit in half the oysters I had. Not a lot of grit but enough to notice. My wife and I had a boil that had shrimp in, and a couple of the shrimp were not deveined (for the uninitiated, that's the shrimp intestines). It was a bit disappointing in that regard. The flavor of the seasonings was pretty good but overall too salty. This is a niche spot that you could go to maybe once for the experience of getting a seafood boil, but otherwise there are plenty of other spots that are actually worth the wait you'd spend here on a Saturday night. read more

I'm from NJ and I always stop at Blue Coast Juicy Seafood when I'm in town. The ambiance is simple and easygoing. It's usually my happy place, but this visit was a whole plot twist. I ordered snow crab legs with garlic butter seasoning and boiled eggs, no spice. My friend ordered the same but hers was extra spicy. Our food comes out, I take one bite, and suddenly I'm coughing and choking like I just lost a fight with a seasoning packet. It was the same as her order -- definitely not what I asked for. I send it back, and the server returns suspiciously fast. I dig in again and immediately notice the crab legs are waterlogged, still a little spicy... and then I see them: my half-eaten boiled eggs from round one. That's when I realized--they didn't remake anything. They just rinsed it off added a different sauce and said, "Voilà!" My friend asked the server if they just rinsed it and recooked it and he actually said yes. I was disappointed, annoyed, and honestly confused--like, who does that? They didn't even try to hide the fact that they did that by refreshing the plate. My friend asked for it to be made fresh (which they finally did), but seriously... rinsing off someone's food and reserving it is wild. I was not prepared for that level of creativity. read more

My wife had nothing but compliments to say about the boil. However, the calamari was very overcooked. I almost sent it back. It was just that badly overcooked. The service was magnificent some of the best ever. Everything was very reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back again. We were with another couple and they were highly complementary of everything as well. I made sure to tip the server well, because I work in the hospitality industry myself. First time coming out to Blue Coast juicy seafood and I was very pleased. I had the 1lb shrimp with the juicy special sauce and I like spicy food so I had the hot, it was quite hot for the average person. I'd like to try the next step up next time I'm back because I'm sure I'll be back. The potatoes and the corn were delicious! The shrimp were amazing, I ate everything hehe The service was friendly. I'd like to say first time coming here so I was a bit weirded out by the paper they place on the table, the bib and the gloves which I did not wear the gloves. We went as a last hurray lunch before starting chemo again and this place did not disappoint. The service was fast the food always amazing but our server Tausha was wonderful. she did something sweet for us so we made sure to tip her really well. I got a large seafood bag, raw oysters, a couple margaritas and my husband who doesn't enjoy seafood got onion rings, it was all amazing!! So delicious! Highly recommend! The crab boil, the corn in the boil the crawfish, the catfish basket and mozzarella sticks are things that I'll ALWAYS rave about!! You can never go wrong with any or all of these items. I usually order Combo B Juicy Special with no heat. I'm not a huge fan of the shrimp but my sister usually takes it because she loves it. I can't really tolerate spice so I get no heat but it's definitely a bit better if you at least get mild. Just more flavor but I like it the way I get it because it's what I can tolerate. The catfish basket is so delicious! It's so good that you can eat it without any sauce and be very happy! We got ours to go but I'd recommend eating it at the restaurant so that it's crispy. Half of our order was actually in the air fryer when I took this picture that's why it seems like a small amount of food but it comes with 4 full pieces of fish and fries. The fries are okay just plain fries so the fish is the star of the show. Mozzarella sticks...make sure you get you some! They are perfection! If you get a boil bag and don't get corn you're really missing out! I usually make sure I have sausage, corn and potatoes in my bag but the corn is always what I look forward to most. The boil bag gives you the corn and potatoes it just doesn't include sausage if I'm not mistaken. So a combo special really is the best way to go if it has a enough food for you. I never finish mine! It's more food then you think. If you go on a Saturday it's usually pretty loud in here. If you can pull away during the day or during the week sometimes you'll get lucky and not be seated near too much noise. They have wash stations in the middle of the restaurant if you're seated too far from the door. The staff is always so friendly! Overall it's one of my favorite places to go. Came here while visiting Tulsa got eggs Combo D added sausage Cajun /medium ordered around 8:30pm for pick up. The waitress was nice making sure we got all our condiments /silverware/ bibs. The only thing I'd say is wanted a little bit more juices and corn cooked a little longer but I was very satisfied with the flavors/taste and quantity! Ten years ago I gave it 3stars. Today it is under new management . The parking is still inadequate. The interior layout has changed and is decidedly cramped. We ordered the two most expensive dishes on the menu: king crab. We asked for scissors and knives and forks. We received knives and forks and no scissors. After that the server was hard to find. In fact we had to chase someone to pay our bill. The bill was over $75 definitely on the high side for Tulsa! Food quality was average for shrimp and crab legs. I ate here with my family and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the fried oyster basket, with Cajun fries, which I have to assume isn't usually ordered with seasoning/spice level, but I asked if I could get it "extra hot" and Jowanna, our server, said of course. One thing I didn't initially understand is that you have to order a seasoning as well if you want it spicy. That was my mistake as it's pretty clear on the menu. The way they do it, for fried foods, is they bring out a bowl of spicy sauce. Like I said, it was absolutely delicious, and I can't wait to try other items next time. Took The Kid to Blue Coast today for a Spring Break lunch w Dad. We'd scouted out the three main crab joints, and landed on this one, mainly due to ratings and proximity. The outside is quirky in a good kinda way, having renovated a location previously occupied by a restaurant offering a lot of wild game dishes. Can't recall the name, but it was something like "Montana Mike's" or something. So the interior that used to be very mountain lodge-y feeling now feels very much like a wharf. Good job that. We arrived right at opening time, and were promptly seated. In fact, prompt was the word of the day, as everything happened like clockwork. Our server, Taylor (rock star, right there) immediately got our drinks and a starter order of calamari. While we briefly pondered the menu, the drinks arrived, and right behind them, our calamari. Not the best calamari I've ever had, but still good. A little overcooked, especially the tentacles, but we still did it justice. Given the venue, we just kept it simple and went with 1 lb of snow crab legs, 1 lb of shrimp (no head, per The Kid's instructions), a side of corn and french fries. I didn't notice the boil came with potatoes and corn, so I ended up eating all 5 mini ears of corn. And they were freaking great. I loved them. Since The Kid wasn't adept at dealing with crab legs, I started her on some shrimp while I extracted some crabby goodness for her. Both meats had the garlic butter w seasoning option, mild spice, and it was a perfect call. Just enough spice to get a good flavor, and not hot at all. The crab legs were well cooked and plentiful. I probably could have gone another half pound, but that's just because I'm a pig. The Kid probably got 3/4 of the crab and half the shrimp, but I batted cleanup and handled the corn and potatoes. And those potatoes..... cooked PERFECTLY. I'm by no means a vegetarian but I literally would have been satisfied with just potatoes and corn. They were that good. Taylor kept tabs on us without intruding and was a model for most other servers to emulate. After the dust settled and the buttery hands and faces were cleaned off (yeah, you're gonna get it on you... embrace it), we decided we had enjoyed a really freakin good meal. Something you don't hear me say very often. The place isn't cheap. It's seafood. Specifically crab legs. Lunch for the two of us was just south of $90, including a well earned tip for Taylor, but it was an occasion, not just a meal, so I had no problems with it. The interior looked clean enough. I saw nothing to raise any red flags with me, and neither of us visited the restrooms, so I got nothing there. Another reviewer who seemed to fixate on the restrooms left several pictures, and sure, cleanliness is certainly a concern, but let's face it... people can be pigs, and it's tough for a place to stay on top of things like that all the time. This was our first visit to Blue Coast Seafood. We had been wanting to try it for a while, but the prices seemed on the high side, so we opted to wait until the reviews showed some consistency. We also came during lunchtime thinking we could take advantage of one of their specials. When first walking in, there is a cashier/hostess area with a Chinese waving cat on the counter and a Chinese calendar hanging on the wall. Both items reminded me of walking in to a Chinese buffet restaurant, so I was hesitant about what this experience was going to be like. We were seated in a booth across from the bar and bartender Natalie came and introduced herself and took our drink and appetizer order of Calamari. Natalie was very knowledgeable about the menu and explained the options and answered our questions. The Calamari came out quickly and was a much larger serving than we expected. It was served with a sweet Thai chili sauce, but Natalie also offered cocktail or marinara sauce. The Calamari was crisp and a deeper brown that might indicate being a bit overcooked, but overall they were very good. I ordered Combo B, which included crawfish, shrimp, crab legs, red potatoes and an ear of corn. You can order the boiled dishes with a variety of seasonings and spice levels. I opted for the house seasoning, "Juicy" style with medium heat. Natalie then brought out a bucket that included a bib, gloves, wet wipes, etc. in preparation for the entree to arrive. Our meals arrived fairly quickly and my boiled dish was served on a pie tie with everything wrapped inside a plastic bag. Once you pour it out into the pan it looked and smelled great. Time to dig in and start shelling some seafood. I began with the crawfish which were large yielding generous pieces of meat. The shrimp were decent size as well and were split up the back to make shelling a bit easier. I never enjoy cracking and shelling crab legs, but the meat was tender & sweet and worth the effort. She ordered the fried shrimp lunch that came with a side of fries. They must have been pretty good because while I was distracted working on my plate she ate them all, so I wasn't able to try them. This was a rather expensive lunch at just over $47, but the boiled dishes are an experience that I haven't had since the Cajun Boiling Pot closed years ago. If you desire fried or boiled seafood then give it a try. If you're looking for anything with pasta, salad or biscuits this is not the place for you. read more

We have yet to actually dine in but do a lot of pick up orders, at least once a month. My husband gets Combo A (muscles, crab legs, shrimp), Cajun seasoning, hot. My dad loves Combo E (lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp), garlic butter seasoning, no spice. I, personally, always order fried calamari and a bowl of New England clam chowder. I have recently tried Combo C (shrimp and lobster) with juicy seasoning and mild spice, it was delicious! We've tried the hush puppies, which are pretty good. The sausage is really good! The sauce the crab boil is cooked in is so succulent no need for additional butter. 1 lb of crab = two claws and I didn't finish mine but they wrapped up in nice to-go bag so I could have for lunch the next day. The food was so amazing. I love this restaurant so much and love coming here for a yummy dinner plus fun activity. We had one of the best waiters I've ever had in my life. He was so on top of everything and was getting us things before we even realized we needed them. The food came out timely and there were no complaints. We had the best time and will definitely be back. We all got the get your hands dirty bags with 1/2 lbs of sausage, shrimp (no head) and crab and it came with potatoes and corn.
