Lo and behold, I did find a pair that I really, really liked on Tuesday. I went home and tried to find them online, but to my luck I couldn't find them anywhere. When I came back on Thursday and was approached by a sales associate asking if I needed any help and I told him the exact pair that I wanted. He bent down and looked in the drawer where all of the new fresh pairs were kept. He takes out a pair and says oh these are them, and I said "no, I'm sorry they're not, they're not the right color." He said, "yes they are, they are the same model number as the one you just showed me." (Rodinara MK5009). I told him that through my research I noticed that there are four pairs they go under this model number, but they are just different colors (Silver, gunmetal, rose/pink, and gold). He said, "oh well, we just go by the MK4digit here." You could tell he was getting slightly flustered because it was apparent that I was more knowledgeable in the product that he is supposed to be selling to me. Thankfully not too long after, we found the exact pair that I wanted and I went up to the register. During checkout, I felt extremely rushed. I understand it's supposed to be a quick transaction, you know, the usual swipe your card, sign, etc., but it just seems like he couldn't wait for me to leave so that he can move onto the next potential customer. It was unbelievable, I'm not sure how often they offer an additional percentage off, but when I got to the register she said it was an additional 20% off! There were a few things in the store that the extra 20% off didn't apply to, but luckily I wasn't shopping for those (sunglasses, perfume and selected bags). It was amazing and this was definitely the big hit of my day. The store was bright and clean and when the woman that was helping realized what I was looking for, or even what my boyfriend started looking at while I was in the dressing room, she started looking in the back and bringing me more things to try on! She was great and I wish I knew her name. I'm definitely a huge fan now and this will be one of the select stores I stop in every time I come to Clinton! I couldn't find any I liked in my size, but he dug down into a drawer and found just what I was looking for. He also helped me select a stylish belt in my size. My purchases were quick and easy thanks to him. While at the checkout counter I asked why he was working in the store alone. He gave the same reason so many businesses are struggling to find help in these post COVID days. There's no incentive to work when the taxpayers pay so well with all the "stimulus" money on top of open-ended unemployment benefits. I just shook my head and thanked him for all his help. But this was incredibly annoying as the baby stroller I was pushing was just about 2 inches too wide on either side, I had to constantly move them slightly to get down the isles. And if I went back down the same aisle again, one of those prompt workers had made sure that it was re-centered, hence me having to move them again. One worker named Chris was helpful in checking to see if they had one of the pairs I was interested in in stock although they didn't have it. She was also the same person who helped assist me during check out. I ended up finding two pairs along with a jeweled headband. The headband was on sale for 70% off of $14.97. Each pair of shoes was about $25 and I had $50 worth of gift cards. With taxes, my total ended up coming to $7 something, the bargain hunter that I am.
