When I dropped my dog off and showed up Friday @6:01 because of lane closure on go forth road she proceeded to say "it's 6:01 I was wondering where her owners at" and that she should have charged 100$ but wasn't going to, then when I called to talk of the issue she changed time to 6:05. I do understand policy's but with construction and having a 2 year old I am unhappy with their costumer service. I personally work in the service industry and have clients but would never cancel an appointment and charge a late fee if they are less then 5 minutes late, because basic costumer service and having a loyal client means more and life does happen. One of the lady's said you should show up @1255 policy says 1. They also proceeded to say I said 10 am pick up when I have texts confirming 1, as stated multiple time we have until 1.Money hungry and rude. Very disappointing as I bring my dogs often to daycare and travel a lot. Thought this would be a great close place, turns out no. I will be returning to my other kennel in buda, even with the extra drive it's worth it. On top of all this we still left gratuity but will not be returning and will be letting our friends and family know to avoid this place.

I brought my 8 month old puppy to training there and a couple play days in preparation for boarding. I then decided to board her over Easter for a last-minute trip instead of leaving her home with my grown son. I booked her boarding on April 3rd for my trip starting on April 14th. My son was very upset about not being able to keep her so on April 10th while she was at a play day, I explained the situation to the kennel and asked if I could just put my $180 boarding deposit towards future play days and cancel the boarding as keeping my son happy was more important to me than boarding my puppy. Well, it turns out that April 5 was the deadline for cancellation. I know for a fact they were not full as I was able to choose her boarding area. The deadline was literally two days after I confirmed and paid the $180 deposit for her boarding, yet I don't remember anyone telling me about the deadline to cancel being two days later. It blows me away that with my unique circumstances, they refused to put my $180 towards future play days as I would've been bringing her there 2 to 3 times a month at $30 a day not to mention the training sessions I would have been booking. I booked it two days before the supposed deadline and a week later, I had to change my mind due to family issues. I was not asking for my money back. I just wanted to be able to use it somewhere else. Lastly please be aware that you are charged for all play days and training sessions when you book the date instead of the day of service. This doesn't seem right. They already have your credit card on file so there's no need to charge you ahead of time. That should be done after the training or play days are completed.

I am actually on day 2 of training and can see improvements in my 9 month old. She was jumping on everyone and on other dogs with lots of excitement bc she was encouraged by visitors that "its ok, she is so cute". At 15 lbs she was cute standing up but at 55 lbs it is not cute in the slightest and could hurt someone. Megan is my trainer. I can not say enough good things about her. Just want to say I am SO pleased, happy, and thankful with/for MEGAN. *Professional *On time *Packs a in to the time we have to train *Nice *Knowledgeable+ *Adaptable *Never Negative to the dog or harsh. Just keeps showing her a better way. *Good ideas and complimentary ( in an informative way) to my dog and to me. ( It is important, so important for the owner to learn also and to learn the small differences in what they think is the best way and what a much better way is to do it. ) Love getting told that I actually am doing good too. Megan is shifting and correcting easily my dog and what she is doing. Along with if one way is working but other options may be advantageous too. ( If my visitor is calm I might be doing one thing, but if my visitor is encouraging my dog to jump then Megan gives me a different solution. Overall, after looking at a few other trainers in Austin and working with one briefly I can see there IS A BIG difference in Karma Dog Training. Everyone that helped me get to this training day was super helpful and attentive. Ok , enough said, I would encourage PUPPY owners to begin training day ONE and for those of us who waited , It's never too late! Patience , dedication, and lots of repetition will bring you and your dog to a beautiful place of understanding and ease. Gioia and I thank Megan and can't wait to see what we are doing after our 10 days of training in home. ( hey , this is so easy! They come to you , train in your environment so they can really see the dogs behavior. Yes it's work but the payoff is fantastic!. They could train without you but it's a dog-owner relationship that really seals the deal). OH, and they have many options to choose from to train your pup. Perfect! thanks thanks thanks... Mac is an…read moreincredible trainer -- patient, intuitive, and always tailoring each session to whatever Bear needed that week (including any new, random puppy behaviors that showed up along the way!). Bear absolutely LOVES Mac and was excited every single session, which honestly says it all. Over our time together, we worked on so much: sit, stay, drop, down, loose leash walking, reliable recall, proper greetings, high five, pool/water confidence, getting in and out of the car, touching paws, relaxation protocols, mind games, and healthy play etiquette. Mac even spent extra time educating us on pet nutrition, which was incredibly helpful and above-and-beyond. Not only is Mac an amazing trainer, they're just a genuinely great person. We learned so much and feel so much more confident as dog owners. I would 100% recommend Mac to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly effective dog trainer!

The people at the facility that I interacted with or capable and knew what they were doing. My dogs were obedient to the trainers when I picked them up. However, the two 30 minute to 45 minutes training sessions were supposed to be 1hour sessions but we're cut short because other customers were arriving. We did not have enough time with the trainers to become skilled at reinforcing what our dogs had learned. We did get written instructions and email instructions. But for the price, I thought we would get more thorough training. The owner Lisa is knowledgeable and nice. Austin, her son, answers the phone he is also very nice. Leaving my dogs at their facility was stressful. I was told I would have communication and pictures or videos daily. What they didn't tell me is the pictures our poses and videos that match canned statements, not real communication about my dog and only once daily. I was given the direct phone number of the owner but couldn't reach her until three or four calls were made. I felt upset that I couldn't determine my dogs well-being from the poses and the canned comments that were generic to every dog. It was upsetting waiting for a callback. I couldn't visit my dogs while they were boarded for training and one of the pictures they looked very stressed. So I was upset by the time. I finally got a callback. The owner Lisa was helpful when she called back. I did get more personal interaction from the trainers. After speaking with Lisa. When I had a scheduling issue, she was also accommodating. My issue is when we got our dogs home we were not trained to reinforce what they had learned. We are not trained to get the results we saw when we picked up the dogs from boarding training. Then there are the group classes. They last for six months. I had terrible health problems for two months and could not attend and they will only allow me one month credit even though I offered MD proof that I was sick. So two months later, our two, very reactive Frenchies in tow, we were late to class and exhausted due to late night, long flight delays. I called talked to Austin told him we would be 36 minutes late.. He said no problem come on in, we will take care of you when you arrive. After a 45 minute drive , we arrived and employee Jerry was very rude. Turned us away and said "I don't know what to tell you, class is over why are you here"? I explained what Austin had said, Jerry said again. "I don't know what to tell you class is over" and shrugged. I called Austin back, he said "I don't know what to say, sorry come back next week". Even though we arrived at the exact time, I told Austin we would arrive. I expect better customer service for $6,000. The sales pitch I was given, led me to believe they would be very present knowledgeable, and helpful. that has not consistently been our experience. We attended class today and were pleasantly surprised. Lisa was teaching and it was a good class. We went over the basics of what they had taught our dogs and how to do it at a very basic level. I feel like I should've had today's training and several other training sessions during the time my dogs were being boarded and trained. There would've been more value in boarding them if I was better equipped to deal with them when they got home.

She has problems with reactivity on a leash, poor recall, and general stubborn behavior. We are still working through these things, but in six weeks with Sit Means Sit the difference is huge. She will not bark at other dogs now. If she does, it is once and she stops when I ask her to. She does not pull on the leash like she used to. I can actually get her attention when I need her to do something now. We trained at day camp with Ashley and she was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. She was so supportive and even stayed late with us to work through some problems together pretty much every lesson. My husband is reluctant to enforce rules or make our pup do things she doesn't want to do, and Ashley helped him with a few pep talks to understand why training is so important, even if it can be frustrating and uncomfortable. We are still learning and still have group classes to take, but so far I've been impressed and grateful.

Having seen Catherine interact with not only her own dogs, but client dogs, I can personally say she is knowledgeable beyond belief and you can completely trust you are in excellent hands (and paws) with The Ranch For Canine Training and Behavior. This facility is immaculate. There is plenty of parking and her indoor facility is well lit and very well cared for. Catherine's knowledge extends way beyond basic training. She has handled and titled multiple dogs in conformation, obedience and protection work. This is a very big deal as many trainers have not successfully competed with and titled dogs to the level she has. She knows canine structure and behavior very well. These qualities are very hard to come by in a trainer. Not only the above, but she is great with communication on the human front. I challenge you to meet a more caring, loving, detail oriented dog trainer! She is fantastic with communication on the human level. Catherine recently opened a lovely new facility on Hwy 290 just off RR12 and not only does she do private instruction, but also group classes and she brings in experts for training on pet massage, etc. I look forward to taking my puggy back for further certifications and classes with Catherine. She truly is a "dog whisperer" and her patient, yet commanding methods will ensure dogs (and their owners) of all ages, shapes and sizes can learn to be the best they can be! Thank you Catherine!!

She showed me this video of a mama dog correcting her pups and this is what the leader of the pack (me) does. There's obviously more to it than just grunting so make you're appointment with this company!!! My dogs are happier dogs! My dogs don't have anxiety and IIIIIIIIII don't have anxiety. I can enjoy my dogs now! It's crazy. It's totally working! No treat or punish training. My Cooper is not fear barking and lunging at people and my other dog Hunny isn't separation anxiety barking outside when she can't see me. It took one water spray and a grunt before she came inside; I closed the door again and she quietly, patiently waited to come in until I let her. Some dogs are a little more stubborn (cooper has been surprisingly) but it's working. Hunny fell in line immediately. My dogs aren't CRAZY! Amanda and I are working on leash training in 2 weeks. Potty/ crate training rn. No more pee pads. This is what I've been needing in my home. Thank you Amanda!

He was becoming a bit of a handful with biting and chewing. A phone call to Lillian and our pup, Ace, was well on his way to becoming a well behaved dog. In a matter of less than five minutes she taught Ace to sit! Over the course of a few lessons she taught Ace "Stay", "Down", "Come", "Fetch" and to walk on a leash without tugging. Lillian taught us quite a bit also. Most importantly how to understand why your dog behaves the way it does. If you are having any problems with your pup she will address your issues specifically.
