I came last week for a cleaning and from the moment I walked in the door I felt great about the place. Min greeted me warmly and as I walked in, I noticed a baby bouncing around behind the counter. I don't have children myself, but I am so happy to see a business normalize having a child around because childcare is too expensive and complicated for many folks, plus it's so important to see a child have an opportunity to have quality bonding time with their parents. When I went to get x-rays, Jen was efficient and warm, and made sure I had what I needed to feel comfortable. I do t have dental anxiety myself, but I appreciated that Dr. Khalil and Jen checked in on me often to ensure that I was comfortable. At today's appointment, I got a deep cleaning and some cavities filled. Between Dr. Khalil and Jen, their bedside manner was calm and comforting , and I felt very at ease. I have recommended this dentist to my spouse and he's coming here for a second opinion because I feel very strongly about this dentist office. Oh, and they have a BLM sign out front, which is definitely the right move in today's day and age.

And I looked at my insurance billing and I don't think even think I had the fluoride treatment but I was "charged" for it. We scheduled a follow-up two weeks out for some fillings but then they cancelled and rescheduled this follow up 3 times. I will not be returning to this office after the third cancellation. This is especially frustrating for someone who has to notify their workplace in advance. Edit: I went to another dentist in San Leandro who told me that I didn't have cavities and didn't need the fillings. Saved myself 200 bucks by getting a second opinion.

Not because I'm looking for a luxury office with fancy music, but because he is an amazing dentist and gives quality work. He has over 30+ years of experience. His son and wife also practice dentistry. He's conservative. That's the type of work I want. I don't want every filling turned into a root canal or crown. For the yelper who complained of his work, its unfortunate she experienced that, however all her reviews are completely negative and she bashes everything. Some people just can't be satisfied. And I don't know that it's his fault if you're not taking care of a filling that turned into something more. I brought a friend here who was told she needed 6 "small" fillings and Dr Jang did not find any decay AT ALL. Dentists make their money on treatment, not regular cleanings. It's common to leave an office with a $5-7k treatment plan., but was the work necessary or is the dentist trying to pay off his new Tesla? Why would anyone want that sort of dentist? I referred all my friends and family to him and they still continue to see him. Quality work and a Doctor you can trust. He takes his time and listens to your concerns. I had my bleach trays made with him and he orders me the bleach syringes as well. Definitely one of the greatest dentists! I plan on being his patient regardless of how far I have to drive.

I just got back from a visit to Angeles Dental Care. It was a great experience compared to places…read moreI've been in the past. The entire team was welcoming and friendly. We started with a tour of the office and introductions to the staff and then we got down to business and started with the x-rays. The hygienist had a little bit of trouble getting the right angles but was quick to grab someone with more experience so that they didn't have to reshoot a bunch of times and give me unnecessary radiation exposure. When the dentist came in after x-rays she was sure to explain my dental situation to me and used a camera to show me areas of concern inside my mouth. I had a few fillings that are about to need replacing and they showed me exactly what they looked like and where they were and made sure I understood the results of the x-rays. The dentist was very quick and professional when working hands-on, she was able to get gum depth readings in short order with almost no discomfort. When the sonic tool used to remove plaque was hurting me they finished out the rest of my teeth and used the metal tools on that spot. For the fillings, I am opting for sedation which they don't handle so they referred me to an endodontist in San Francisco to get that done. Overall, I am thrilled with the high level of care taken and the attention to every detail at their practice and look forward to my next visit to see how much my situation has improved.

As I have done with several other things in my life, I failed to follow through. And while she easily persuaded me to up my dental care game by purchasing and using a Waterpik and good electric brush and using them religiously, I still ended up with a dental emergency that forced me to face whatever unfounded fears I had and reach out to her a couple of weeks ago. Dr. Chun is booked out for 2 months and for good reason. She is as good as it gets. Seriously. And yet, not only did she remember me(and my wife and now grown daughter by name!) but she somehow made room to address my dental needs. This type of dentistry(and all and dare I say any other area of medical service) practice went out the window a couple of decades ago now that insurance companies run the land, but somehow Dr. Chun has found a way to keep it alive in her practice and I (and probably every single one of her other patients) are incredibly grateful that she is not only our dentist, but our trusted friend. For obviously selfish reason, may she never retire!

They told me that they could, that they accepted my dental insurance, so we made an appointment. Appointment day comes and when I gave them a call just to confirm I was coming in, they said they had canceled it because a third party said I couldn't make it. They did not even call me to confirm the cancelation, and when I asked to still come in they said they had filled my time slot. I decided to schedule a second appointment with them and even called to confirm the exact date and time. I told them not to cancel unless it came from me, or to call and confirm with me. I had to leave this in a voicemail since 9 times out of 10 they do not answer the phone. I received a follow-up call over 5 hours later that confirmed the appointment and was questioned if my memory was ok since I had to call about the appointment. Today was my scheduled time to meet and I woke up to a text from one of my family members saying that this dentist no longer accepts my dental insurance. Again I received no call about this or anything as they claimed they did not have my contact information, even though I have a voicemail from the office. I am also of legal age so there is no reason why they should be calling anyone but me in regards to my appointment. When I tried to give the office a call it went straight to voicemail saying that they are out of the office until next month. Even though it is just a simple appointment I scheduled with them, I have had to miss work twice now and leave one of my classes early just to try and make an appointment that got canceled on me. The disrespect for their clients is high. I recommend going to literally any other Dentist.

In…read moreparticular, I had a severe dental injury and she did a fantastic job of repairing the damage and effectively communicating with me along the way. My situation required numerous followup appointments and she was very good at explaining the pros and cons of the alternative treatments.
