Was a patient of Dr Wick in the same building for a short time but apparently the virus made many changes in his office and I couldn't get in for a cleaning until next year. As this office was taking all of Dr Wicks calls and I was over a year without a cleaning I booked an appointment last week for today-as there'd apparently been a cancellation. I did a Yelp check this morning and found that there were very few reviews but they were all good, so I went. What a pleasant surprise than the staff was totally courteous, caring and efficient! I was given the cost of the initial visit and despite my inability to have a full set of X-rays after I'd already paid I was given an option of a panoramic view at no Extra cost! BAIT AND SWITCH. I started with Rodriguiz Dental Group last spring with a cleaning and x rays. Found 3 old fillings that needed replacement. Had one done then in Sept went to have another cleaning and replace the other 2 fillings. Had Dr. Stathopoulos, who arrived over 1/2 hour late and cleaned my teeth and looked at the x rays and said to schedule a appointment to replace the 2 fillings, agreeing to what the first dentist said. Came back for the appointment and Dr. Stathopoulos now states I need a crown on those 2 teeth, looking at the same x rays that have been in the office for over 6 months! So I'm sitting in the exam room while the front desk is explaining that my insurance that would cover my fillings, will now cost me out of pocket over $800! I asked about my original dentist, and the office said she would call me back. I left and my original dentist never called me. read more

I had a dental emergency where a piece of my flipper tooth had broken off and I needed a replacement ASAP. As we're new to the area, literally just having moved into the neighborhood days earlier, I had yet to search/find a dentist. So Thursday evening (the day my flip broke), brought up Yelp and searched for dentists in the 94541 area. First page, 10 results, called EVERYONE. Left voice messages with several offices and spoke with several receptionists with a "our dentist is busy, they'll call you right back." Absolutely NO follow through whatsoever - not a SINGLE call back, ever (Without naming names, search dentists via the 94541 area code). Off to page 2 of said search results. Came across Rodriquez Dental Group, gave them a ring, and fortunately was able to speak with a receptionist and explained my situation. The receptionist was entirely sympathetic and after double-checking with "the team," they were able to fit me in the next morning. Hallelujah! I was NOT going to work missing a front tooth! Long story short, at 9:30AM, Dr. Niko and Yadira - both of whom were absolutely fabulous - worked together to perform an initial examination, take upper/lower impressions, worked with their lab to RUSH order this, and by 11:45AM, I had a brand new flipper in place. Amazing! What I can only imagine takes at LEAST half to a full business day took just above two hours. And after a few adjustments, a perfect fit. Through sheer chance and subsequent fantastic service, I have found my dentist! I will partake in regular check-ups and even get the dental implant I've put off for so long. My family and I have been coming here since 2009. One of the things I like, is that they do a really good job on the teeth with the minimum amount of discomfort. When we first arrived my family's teeth used to resemble a caveman's family,which we would never smile,only grunt. But now my family's teeth has given us red carpet confidence! The cleanliness of the clinic and office is super clean. The staff is also very friendly and helpful with appointments,payment or insurance coverage issues. Dr Niko is excellent- He didn't send me to a million other specialist's. He did everything, practically a one stop shop-he replaced a couple of metal fillings with white fillings-extracted my wisdom teeth-gave me a bridge-partial crown etc etc it was a real mess! But now, all I go there for is just check- up's, deep cleaning and friendly reminders to floss by Dental Hygienist Fabiola. Ever since I moved to Hayward back in 2012, I've been coming to Rodriguez Dental for my routine check-ups and semi-annual cleanings (Thank you Fabiola and Maria). During my first few visits, Dr. Niko encouraged me to visit a recommended orthodontist to fix several teeth that were out of place. I never really wanted to get braces so I was always hesitant to go for a consultation. After about the 5th visit and Dr. Niko reminding me to go for a consultation, I finally decided to give it a try. I went in for a consultation and six months later, I finally decided to get braces. While I had my braces, Dr. Niko would follow up with me during each one of my check ups/cleanings. He had a vision of how my teeth would look and what we would need to do right after my braces came off. Fast forward a year-and-a-half later, my braces came off and I literally went straight to Dr. Niko to have a cleaning and few fill-ins for my two front teeth. When the fill-ins were completed and I took that first look at my teeth, I was beyond impressed! I've been a patient at Rodriguez Dental Group for about 6 years now. Even though I moved from Hayward 4 years ago, it's worth the 30 minute drive from Berkeley. I have received extremely thorough cleanings from the very skilled hygienists - I will say that Fabiola is awesome! So, after 6 years of getting away with cleanings only and nothing major, I am now paying my dues with a few old replacement fillings and a few new cavities. Since I am private pay and have no dental insurance they offer very reasonable prices, they work with you. I recommend this dental practice to all of my friends and family, because I know the value of a great dentist and how difficult it can be to find an excellent one and one you trust. The other thing I must mention is that they are very gentle, detailed, and have a great bedside manner. When getting my fillings today, Dr. Nikko kept on with the numbing to insure that absolutely no pain was felt, and even went 30 minutes over my appointment time to get the job done. I completely felt taken care of and in good hands. Happy to know that I'm taking care of my dental health that will pay off for years to come. read more

I have a bad gag reflex so for me every time I would go to the dentist I always had a hard time. The people that will help me would get mad at me and embarrass me. So after 7 years of not going to the dentist because I had that bad experience with other place I had to go so I live close by to Rodriguez dental so I gave it a try I was help by crystal she was so nice I told her about how bad I have gag reflex. She was so nice took her time she went out of her to make me feel comfortable and we were able to get the job done even with my gag reflex. My son that is 7 also had an appointment that day he was help with someone else, I can't remember her name, she was so nice to son. My son told me the lady was nice I want to come back and see her. I made another appointment for my deep cleaning with crystal and again she had her patient with me she was so nice to the point that wow I can do this. other place were so mean I would just walk out because they would be so rude to me but not her she Was the amazing .thank you.
