My wife Rita, and myself purchased a used vehicle from Langley Toyota because of our experience with other Toyotas. We wanted a specific model and wanted a Dealer who would stand behind what they sold. We were not able to drive the truck much because we purchased a house several hours north of Langley and were very busy with the move. Once we were established in our new home and had more opportunity to drive the truck, we found that it did not meet our expectations. We contacted Langley Toyota by phone and worked out a tentative arrangement. We returned the truck and purchased a 2026 Toyota BX Limited. We are more than happy with the price and although we have never owned an electric vehicle before, the staff were extremely patient and helpful in getting us on the road with this beautiful car. I was greatly mistreated by their finance manager Aaron who got mad at me for not wanting to add all the extra useless insurances. On Sept 6, I went in for an oil change, great customer service and finished in a timely matter. The waiting area was comfortable and lots of seating. I received a coupon to wash my car at a near by Esso as they do not have a car wash station on site. I was having a little trouble finding my vehicle after my service, someone from parts and service must've seen me walking around so he came and helped me. (The panic button on my key was not working properly to locate my vehicle). The next day I received a follow up phone call on my experience at the dealership. I don't write many reviews but the service I was given by the two sales managers left me no choice. I was recently at this dealership and test drove a RAV4 Hybrid with my wife. The car was in decent shape and wanted to purchase the vehicle. I was going out of town and was prepared to give them a $1000 non-refundable deposit and complete the deal on the following Sunday or Monday. I asked about financing the deal through Toyota and was told I could not as Toyota does not finance use cars. Fair enough. I asked what the going rates are through the banks and was told it was based on my credit...which is excellent. I was then told the rates would range between 7-9%. My wife and I decided that we would pay for the car outright as we could get better rates. I was told they would not accept a "cash" deal. They said "cash" could be a money laundering issue. I then said I would get a bank draft from the TD and wait for it...."they said they would not accept a bank draft from a Canadian bank"... AND they said many of the lower mainland Toyota dealers (Richmond, Destination and Westminster) also have the same policy for "cash" deals. I have since checked with Destination and Westminster and they both accept deals for outright purchases... So my only choice was to finance this car through their dealership (which I can only guess they are making a pretty penny on). I asked if I financed it, could I pay it off the next day to avoid any interest. They said NO, I had to wait a month....which means I would be charged at least one months interest. Wait this gets better. I asked if I were to buy the new 2022 Tacoma in the showroom, what is Toyota's rates for new cars. They then said it would need to be discussed with their business people. This was getting exhausting. The next bomb dropped when they asked what I would be trading in on the new car purchase, to which I replied, nothing. I am now quoting..."you cannot purchase a new car here without a trade in...!" I am now facing two supposed sales managers and in unison they said without having a trade their inventory would go down and they would not have anything to sell if they didn't insist on a trade with every new purchase....!!!! Now I am pissed and completely at a loss for words. Last I checked I was in a business that sold cars, not a business that gives potential clients the run around for wanting to give them money for a car (new or used). They both looked at me like stunned mullets. I reiterated to them, you are in the business of selling cars and they are walking away from a plus $50K deal (a deal that walked in completely off the street which would have taken them less than an hour to complete). Now I am beyond mad for wasting mine and my wife's time. To add salt to this wound and without either of the managers seeing me, I used the facilities and it happened to be near their desks. As I came out of the washroom and as I only a few feet away from them, I overheard them mocking me and my request to buy the car outright. I called them out much to their surprise and asked why it was so "funny" that any customer wanted to but a car outright!!!! These two so called sales managers should be fired immediately. They claim not to have a manager they report to but I highly doubt this. I have since purchased a brand new car and it was not a Toyota. I feel for the sales people at this dealership as they live off their commission. Mine was great. Think very hard and very long if you want anything from this place, it is a total joke. Was looking for a used, later model car, with specific parameters and had checked a few other dealers in the area, with either no luck, or poor customer service experiences. I came to Toyota Langley, not expecting much, after reading the other Yelp reviews but was pleasantly surprised. I dealt with Shef, a young enthusiastic sales associate, who not only listened to exactly I was looking for, but went above and beyond, without pushing unreasonable options on me. He found several cars that were suited to me, and was patient, helpful and realistic while I test drove them and made my decision. I was surprised at their used car selection, it was the largest I'd come across in my search. I went with a 2018 Kia Sportage, which was in excellent condition. Next I dealt with Jayde in finance, who is an absolutely delightful young lady. She was kind, helpful and also went above and beyond for me, guiding me through a warranty plan that fit my budget and needs, while being realistic. I can't say enough about how positive my experience was with her, and how thorough and professional she was during our entire exchange. I would specifically request her for any future dealings. I have bought several cars over the years, from multiple dealerships in the area, and hands down this was the smoothest experience I have had. I fully recommend this dealership. read more

I got my truck here from Shef, used, a year ago. It wasn't a bad price for the time, I was happy with the purchase, and the help I got with the financing department was wonderful. The Two problems I had were a wheel alignment and a faulty stereo. I was told by the salesman ((verbally)my first mistake) that the repair and replacement would be free. The wheel alignment was done promptly and on their dime. Then I was told they would have to order the part. I took that as Shef saying that it was ordered (my second mistake) and did not inquire further after a brief back and forth. Months passed and I didn't hear anything. My texts to Shef were never returned. Finally I went over his head and phoned the dealership. Now all of a sudden I have to foot half the bill? Having to drive out to Langley is a blow softened by the usually kind if not quick service but being lied to about a purchasing promise is extremely disrespectful. I'll have to review my warranty to see if I can get my servicing done through a toyota closer to me because I don't see the point in going out of my way if they won't reciprocate. read more

I got a used 2004 Toyota celica and started taking it to this Toyota service shop, hoping that I could trust their support and knowledge, but after two routine check-ups, I took it in immediately after noticing a squeal from my front, left wheel well. I suggested it could be a brake issue from my own inspection and asked if they could check it out and maybe replace it. After a few hours I got it back with them telling me they found "no abnormalities" and that they couldn't hear the squeal, though because they drove it around without hearing it, possibly from the rain. They suggested it could be Rust on the rotor and it was whatever so I decided to take their word for it and continue driving, assuming there indeed, was no abnormalities. Several days later, on the highway, there was a loud series of thuds from that same wheel well and the brake immediately seized, with the ABS light coming on and brakes progressively clamping down harder and harder on the wheel, making controlling the car difficult as the brake was engaged on the front left wheel but not the others. I could smell the heat from the friction and hear the engine power through my brake. I directed the car off the highway and got it to The Langley Brake Shop. At the brake shop I was notified that the exact same brake I was worried about had failed and the nature of the calliper failure on the highway destroyed the axel, which snapped at the bearing. The guy was stunned the wheel hadn't fallen off since it was wobbling so much. Repairs will be over $1100 and that's if I don't need to replace the few hundred dollar ABS sensor that might have been damaged from the loose Axel banging around. Needless to say, I won't be returning to Toyota town and I should've trusted my own gut and went to get a second opinion elsewhere. Now I have to pay for repairs I can barely afford going into the holiday season. If you choose to use this place for service, don't do it for older models and cancel your appointments if the weather is rainy apparently. read more

I went to look at a used truck, it was priced high for the year and kms (based on other trucks for sale and the blue book value, I did my research) but seemed to be in pretty good condition from a cursory examination. However after taking it to a very reputable garage for an independent inspection (at my OWN expense) it was found to require $2800 in immediate repairs - for faults I could clearly see with the truck on a lift, and during the highway driving test. When I presented these facts to the dealer I was told the report was "bullshit" and basically called a liar to my face and offered $200 off. Needless to say I walked away. Be VERY careful buying from these people as either this truck was not inspected by their service dept before selling it as "great condition" (incompetent) or they knew about the faults and chose not to disclose them (dishonest). Considering the rear shocks were literally falling to pieces from rust, I would tend to the latter. read more

They replaced my computer chip fast promptly and as affordably as I could have expected. Now.. nearly three years later, they call me to let me know that there is a recall on the chip. I have taken my truck here for about 8 years now. The staff were always friendly and I have had no complaints until this last year. I've used their tire storage service for the past 4 years . I have received 2 tires back with broken caps for the hubs and have complained with no avail, Toyota will not admit or claim responsibility for the missing and broken hubs, the tires do not return clean as stated, and they even misplaced a tire last time I used the service. Also they striped my lock when rotating the tires and didn't notify me ( it happens but at least let me know so I'm not stranded if I have to change the tire). The service manager is not a person that is fun to deal with and I will be taking my business elsewhere I have given too many chances already. It's truly unfortunate that customer service is not a priority anymore. read more

If I had known it would take 45 minutes for the shuttle to even arrive I would have had someone pick me up... Like most dealers now Toyota town uses a single shuttle to cover their entire area. The only problem with this is that their area is huge. Now on my third visit, I cannot simply say it was a one time occurrence to have to wait. Looking at the clock, realizing it has been an hour since I finished with the advisor and knowing it will still take longer to get back is frustrating. They really need to have two shuttles (one East, one west) to handle their runs. It's not a matter of ability or competence of the shuttle driver or the service staff - it's just the geography. It wouldn't have been an issue (I could have arranged for a ride) if there was accurate information. When I finished with the advisor he said that the shuttle would be back in five minutes. Thirty minutes later when I asked him again, he said five minutes... Really? I suppose if you say five minutes enough times you will eventually be right. As for the dealership itself, it's nice. The location is accessible, spacious and well laid out. The interior is kept clean and tidy with newspapers and a TV in the waiting area. Pricing levels are decent, but you will generally pay more for things than elsewhere (expected at a dealership). I'm not a fan of the service department layout however, since you stand awkwardly in the middle of the walkway until an advisor on the left or right is free. There's no where to stand out of the way - you just move left and right to let people pass you as you wait. read more

I took my vehicle in for routine maintenance and was not impressed. After entering all of my information online I had to give it to them again when I arrived. In addition, I walked in the service area door and went to the first available service desk to be told she couldn't help me and I'd have to wait for one of the ladies on the left.... No smile, no welcome, no apology - just I can't help you. It didn't get any better when I did get served, no smile, no greeting, just an overworked stressed employee trying to get through her day. Picking up my vehicle was the same I waited 10 minutes before I finally went to the front desk to ask for the service manager, I was told I'd have to ask one of the service ladies... If only it were that easy. They did do the routine maintenance, and they did wash the car (more like moved the dirt around). At 10:30 pm that night I received a text from the service department asking me to complete a survey?! I'm certain I can get terrible service elsewhere for a lot cheaper. Never again. read more

I had a regular maintenance service here and the lady who used to drive the shuttle (now seats at Service Desk) told me to shut up while driving me back to my house. She said that because I was trying to give her direction to my home. I was very upset and I asked her to stop the car and I called cap to get to my house. I complained this to the service manager about this and all I got was cap fee reimbursed, but when I went for service again, I notice that she was promoted and work at the service desk. I've been going to Langley Toyotatown for years through two different cars, but over the last year or so their service seems to be going downhill They book appointments so tightly that they can't even remotely accommodate emergencies. My car is doing something strange and quite concerning, and when I phoned to try to get help they said I could either wait two weeks, or bring it in and leave it all day and "maybe" they'd be able to find time to look at it. I work crazy hours and I drive a lot for work. I buy from Toyota for their reliability. At minimum I expected Langley Toyotatown to be there when something was wrong, but apparently they're only interested in cramming in appointments to make an extra buck. The service rep wouldn't even attempt to find any other options for me. What a disappointment. read more

purchased my first ever new vehicle at Langley Toyotatown and since then i have had an up and down experience. The buying process was a good one the service part of it has been crappy thanks to service advisers and service manager but held out hoping for better times there...no chance! yesterday was my breaking point NEVER will I return and will definitely be pursuing it to the fullest extent! back story...had intermediate shaft replaced under warranty along with first service. driving home realized wheel was straight.not a big deal things happen. took it back in and it was aligned and it was all seemed good. I go to clean my truck i notice some chunks out of plastic next to airbag where my phone buttons are! finally found time to go in as i wanted them to view it. was told by service adviser I would have to come back to speak to service manager Monday to Friday 9-5 i believe was the time they said i also explained i was having a few other issues and in need of my second service. i explained i could never make it at that time so we settled on pictures and he would contact me the following Monday. Monday comes no call 3:00 Tuesday i called and it was ridiculous held no accountability for his staff as he believed there was no reason they would take off the airbag(10 seconds research on the internet about replacing the shaft told me they did)wanted to call back and a few min later he did. then he proceeded to ask why i waited so long to bring it to there attention(felt fairly belittling the way he asked) i explained i wasn't happy about it and i wanted to show them and talk about it in person ( next dealership i go to i would call and document it so there is a record) conversation progressed and regressed to us being mutually rude but they agreed to fix it i reminded him i needed a service and would like someone to look into the other issues and that was officially the last time i ever wanted to speak to him! following sat 10:00 appointment was there at 9:35 greeted by tired or just unfriendly service adviser there spoke briefly then showed me work order and the one line issue just the steering wheel buttons i asked about service looking into other issues which are a slight clunk occasionally in the rear and an annoying squeaking drivers seat? i was then told that that was all i was booked in for and there was nothing about the other issues or service (original service adviser i spoke to did not document it and neither did the service manager apparently) i requested to get the service done as well and to go with me to test drive(as i NEVER let anyone drive my vehicle without me in it as insurance is in my name) she said can"t do it as the switch replacement was all the time i had set aside for me! frustrated i took a different route and demanded it be done as this is what i was there for! FINALLY after 15ish frustrating minutes a customer came in and miraculously she hesitantly agreed WOW! 9:50 now sitting in the lobby and for the next hour sat and watched the service department and listened..people were treated very well and i watched as there vehicles were brought into to the servicing area id say around 6 or 7! meanwhile my truck sat outside! 10:50 now truck is still outside(appointment was for 10;00) i assumed that the test drive was a bust so i went to service adviser and notified them i was leaving and the could contact me when my truck was done! ..11:56 phoned but i missed it returned call at 12:06 service adviser proceeded to ask where i was and how soon i could get back they were waiting to test drive i said i would head there but will take me awhile seen as i walked Then the S**T officially hit the fan when she proceeded to inform me she drove my truck(wtf) and was bouncing up and down on my seat but could not get it to squeak(Um wtf) and as for the clunk the answer was "I Honestly think there is nothing wrong with your truck" Now im officially choked im now pissed she drove my truck was bouncing up and down on my seat basically blowing me off as to the clunk then telling me she thinks there is nothing wrong in her opinion.... I LOST it i said you had no right to do any of that and her opinion meant nothing as she is not a technician and barked at her to that iwant no more work to be done and im coming to get my truck No one touch it! walked back to be greeted by a different one now as she was done with me as i was told! i spoke about again things got heated and after a stressful 25 min was asked to leave and we mutually agreed i not return anymore! look over truck open door 3" mark of oil on seat ..1" chunk opposite side of steering wheel now! went in was treated like crap looked at it got oil out and notified i would have to com back mon-fri so service manager can view it! hahah ya right they wont get the chance to ruin another day of mine!! im sending copy of this write up to Toyota Canada and will go from there! My father and I have been busy test driving cars as my dad needs a new car. We finally narrowed it down to a toyota venza and nissan murano. I wanted him to test drive both cars again back-to-back. We went to Toyotatown langley first. We needed to ask the receptionist for a salesman. She was pleasant and found someone quickly. The salesman was a white-haired, older gentleman who asked how he could help us. I told him we were looking for a used venza. He told us that he had one 2010 brown venza with 108000km for $21985. I told him that it had too many kilometre for the price especially as I had found other dealers with cheaper cars with less kilometres. He took offence of my research and comparison. I asked if we could test drive his used venza so we could compare it to a murano. He told us we could not test drive because we weren't planning on purchasing a car today. We said we were going to look at the brown venza and the salesman said he would ask if we could take it for a drive, relucantly. We headed outside to look at the car. The salesman came out shortly and told us there was a deposit on the car. Indicating we couldn't even look inside it. He never tried to sell us a newer model or even suggest test drive a newer model. Once he heard that we were still looking, he had no interest in helping us. Through this whole car-buying experience I have not been treated this poorly. Every other dealership was willing to let us test drive knowing we were only looking. I will never go back! read more
