The exterior looks very nice and was expecting that clean crisp look to carry-over inside. Sadly, wasn't quite the experience. As I approached the entrance with my wife, we were immediately drawn to the window left of the entrance door, as it was congested with employee personal items. Inside, the huge wall mural was a bit distracting as well as the faux grass wall above the kitchen? The most amazing legit Hawaiian food I've found since I left home on Maui! The food is so ono! From the spam musubi to the mochi, I am so stoked. My favorite is the garlic shrimp tacos tho, the siracha aioli totally makes it. They also get dole whip! The garlic chicken was very crisp and dry,and garlic shrimp was ok.very Disoriented.it took 12 minutes to get a waitress to order drinks and food.. I'm still waiting!!! The restaurant is clean but somewhat loud. The ambiance is somewhat unorganized.finally got drinks.. still waiting for food. Seems takeout go faster than dinein. People who came in for dining after we did got their food first. We are dining in, and our food came in to go boxes.the food truck was much better..don't recommend this place for the price. I finally tried them and is so good!! The chicken was a tad bit dry for me but you can't go wrong because people will complain if it's under cooked or over cooked!! But I will keep ordering here as the service was great and the food was delish!! Also their Mac salad is home made unlike Kona who just mixes Resers Mac salad together with Resers potato salad which has an ingredient that burns my throat! Wow just yum!! We couldn't stop eating it was soooo good. So flavorful we didn't need any extra sauce. We had the Pele Chicken with rice and pan seared veggies as well as the pele beef with both rice and noodles and coleslaw. Great cocktails as well. Everyone was nice and food came out quick and hot. Variety of seating to choose from. Couldn't stop eating to get pics. We will be back for sure. read more

No teriyaki sauce on an actual order of teriyaki chicken .containers for teriyaki or any to go orders were non existent. They had lids but no sauce containers, food was Super bland and expensive . I'm only giving two stars because my food was good. We were excited to try this place since it opened and had great meals and service from the food truck before it opened. It was busy but it took close to 20 minutes before anyone came with menus then they said they had to deliver menus to another table but would be right back. I saw them taking to go orders at the register and it took another 15 minutes before anyone came back for our drink order. Another 10 to 15 minutes to get our drinks and the table behind us that came in later than us got theirs first. Another 10 minutes and we got our cucumber and pickled veggies. Then 10 minutes and they brought our food in to go boxes. They never checked on us to see how the food was and my husbands garlic chicken was way too crispy and very dry. He couldn't even eat it. As we were getting ready to leave they came over and we showed them the chicken and told them we were disappointed. They took a portion of the bill off but didn't really apologize much, just said they were busy. It seemed to me that they cared more about the to go orders then the people eating in the restaurant. I would recommend going to the food truck but not this location until they can figure out how to give better customer service. We were very disappointed. We tried Lani Moki tonight for the first time, the restaurant is clean, bright and inviting the greeting was warm and friendly . I ordered the Teriyaki chicken with a request for extra vegetables. Sadly the vegetables were so heavily salted the were rendered inedible for me. When we were asked how our meal was I mentioned the vegetables were far too salty, I was told that is their seasoning. At the end of the meal the waitress asked if I would like a togo container, again I said they were far too salty and I had only tried two or three of them. I was told again that it is their seasonings ,zero no offer was made to replace the veg. We will be taking our dollars to other restaurants in the future. Normally I wouldn't complain but if you don't know there is a problem you can't fix it. read more
