Went to this Lanikai Juice location because it was across from the Corepower I went to while visiting the island. This is in the same plaza as et al, and there's also a Wholesale Unlimited there as well. I needed a wake-me-up, post-workout drink and asked what a Java the Hut was. I guess it contains coffee powder and coffee in it, with some whey protein, etc. The woman behind the counter asked if I wanted vanilla or chocolate protein and I asked what she suggested. She said chocolate was better. I asked if the drink was good and she said it was, so might as well try something new other than my usual go-to pineapple smoothie. Well, Java the Hut is my new favorite drink there, and I've been thinking about it for the past two months, since we got home. I'm going to try to replicate the recipe at home - it's that good! If I'm in the mood for a smoothie, I will get the Kailua Monkey or Java the Hut but I usually opt for their bowls. I like the Monkey Biz when I want something sweet or the Acai Superfood (extra honey) when I'm feeling like it. They offer multiple acai bowls but I like their superfood one because of the super food toppings I feel like a lot of other places don't offer. I'm super bummed. I've been coming here for years and the last two times I've stopped in to satisfy my açaí craving, I have been shocked at the size of the large açaí bowl. There is about 2" of extra space at the top of my bowl and it's clear from the photo I posted originally that the size is getting smaller. For such expensive bowls, the size should fill the cup/bowl in which the acai it is served. I'm happy to pay the price but I would expect the serving size to be a real large size, not a regular in a bigger bowl. When I mentioned the size to the cashier, they said that the size is normal. Not only that, but the toppings are skimpy. The Lanikai Juice in Kakaako serves bowls that are full and loaded with toppings. I'll make the drive and go to Kakaako to get my money's worth. Lastly, I asked for no honey on one of the bowls I ordered, but to keep the honey on the other. They charged me the full amount for both bowls but neither bowl had honey. read more

The mango green juice was really good. Refreshing with the perfect amount of sweetness. I'd give this a 5 star, but the 2 star rating is for the customer service and the açaí bowl. The cashier will ask if you want honey in your bowl without stating it's a dollar extra. Anyway, sure, I love honey, so another dollar is fine, but then when I got my açaí bowl, the honey was so abundant, it literally coated the entire top. Thanks for all the honey, but that's pretty excessive. The bowl turned out to be super sweet especially with the loads of honey and granola. I couldn't finish the açaí bowl because it was simply too sweet and I hate wasting food. I had such a sugar high, that I didn't feel well for the rest of the day. I can see why their ratings are 3.8. Açaí isn't great here. Lastly, the customer service isn't as good as other service establishments. You see the cashier just slouched over and contemplating her life. read more

I've always wanted to try Lanikai Juice. There are several locations on the island and very well known for their awesome fresh juices and smoothies. Was hanging out in Kahala and was feeling thirsty so hey my chance to try Lanikai Juice. The menu is easy to follow even with all the different choices which I appreciate. The cashier was very sweet and pleasant and I didn't feel rushed to order. They have children size cups (a huge A+) and even their small drink cup was very filling. The store was really clean and the walls were beautifully painted which felt inviting. Prices were great especially for fresh drinks and service was quick. There was plenty of parking and a restroom was a few stores down. Definitely will try another location soon. read more

I'm not one to write many negative reviews on places, but today seems to be the day. I have mixed feelings about this Kahala location, because normally I frequent Hawaii Kai since it's by my house, but sometimes Kahala location has a good staff. Today was not one of those days. The products are GREAT, but customer service needs a definite upgrade and they should provide you with products equivalent to the amount you pay, in my opinion. We stopped by this morning, around 9:30am, and the cashier was very rude and seemed as though she did not want to be there. We paid approximately $30 for a large Açai bowl and a large Monkey Biz. I requested a few adjustments to my Açai bowl, and the cashier did not seem happy about it. The Hawaii Kai location puts my side granola in a small container, so I requested one when they gave me my granola in a paper bag, and the cashier told me she'll need to charge me for that. When we received the Monkey Biz bowl, it normally comes with a dollop of peanut butter on top (from all our previous experiences ordering it) and the cashier said "it's blended inside," and did not provide us with the dollop of peanut butter. Furthermore, upon eating it, it did not taste like there was peanut butter "blended" inside. Lastly, I paid extra for cacao nibs, and she barely filled a tiny container, but charged me for $1.50. My experience was quite disappointing and her unprofessionalism is dumbfounding. You pay extra for little product and subpar service. They don't fill your bowls like they do in Kailua and Hawaii Kai, and they charge full-price for half of what you should be receiving. Since the products are great, I will be returning, but if that employee is there, I am willing to drive elsewhere for my Açai bowls, in order to avoid her unpleasantries. read more

It wasn't too long ago that my wife and I first tried and açaí bowl and now we are regularly hunting down new and delicious açaí bowls. Which brings us to Lanikai Juice in Kahala near Foodland Farms. We have been to other Lanikai Juice locations and have always enjoyed our refreshing treats from them. This location is just as good as the others, they are super consistent of what they serve no matter which location you go to. The shops are always super clean and the staff are always friendly and helpful. My wife and I always share a medium sized bowl and I think it comes out to about $11. The fruits were fresh and sweet and the honey over all of it just brings everything together. You can get the açaí, the granola, the fruit and honey in every spoonful. Lanikai Juice is one of the best places to get açaí or juices. They nail the consistency of the acai, not too icy and not too liquid. It doesn't melt too quickly either. The fruit toppings are fresh and they have a huge variety of add ons from puffed quinoa to cocoa nibs. The price is fair for the size of the bowls. I tried their mana green bowl this time, which comes with a mix of greens, mango/orange juice, ginger, spirulina. The ginger flavor gives it a kick, but gets mellowed out by the honey and fresh mango. I love the combination of textures with the crunchy granola. Theres a few tables and high tops if you want to enjoy inside. The staff is friendly and quick. Just be aware that they up-sell you by asking if you want to "add" honey. It's $0.90 extra and definitely a necessary topping for any bowl, but I always found that price to be a little steep for a honey drizzle. read more

We used to go here often because there was a sense of having something healthier than Jamba Juice that was quick and on the go. After doing a bit of research, the levels of sugar are quite high still. Either way, I still rather go here since they use mostly whole food ingredients. The banana bread here was incredible all these years but has been a bit more dry recently. The customer service is always a bit iffy. TLDR; Service was superb, the Acai bowls were good, and the store was immaculate. This was actually my first visit to Lanikai Juice (Sunday 10/24 @ 11am) and the service was SO good. Typically we are loyal to another spot, but they are closed on Sundays. I was in and out because the bowls were made so fast and that isn't usually the case when ordering Acai/smoothies. What I especially liked was that the cashier washed his hands immediately after handling cash. The bowls were solid and it was helpful they offer a keiki size. HAVE A "PICK UP" WINDOW! They have staffs but the cashier makes the order everytime she takes a order so i dont know what the other staffs are doing? This is my most favorite Lanikai Juice on the island! The one thing I can always count on is the fast service. I think the longest I have waited for my order was 2 minutes. The customer service is always so polite and professional. I usually go for a green smoothie at Lanikai Juice and the Kāhala location always does a great job at thoroughly blending my drink. I love the new location. Even though it's literally only two blocks away it is so much more convenient to get here. Don't need to worry so much about exiting the parking lot while speeding cars are coming off kalanianaole. Also there's a lot more parking and the rewards programs is back. It's new and probably because of Covid but everything is so clean. And the service is so much more superb than previously. The prices i think did get a little higher but not by much. I also think the açaí bowl sizes got a little larger so I wouldn't mind paying a little extra. Even the orders are made way quicker than any of the older locations. The kahala location provides terrible customer service. I called in an order on my way to location. The clerk confirmed If I could be there by 6pm as they close 6, I told them yes, I am passing Queens and on my way. Now I completely understand I was cutting it close to closing time, I even attempted to call them when I took the exit to say I know it's 5:58, I am right at the light by Kilauea Ave. However no one was answering the phone and I kept calling to see if they were going to honor the order if I should disregard the order. Clerks saw me at the door trying to call, when someone finally answered, he was rude and dismissive to the fact that I was trying to confirm if they where going to to honor the order and could not understand that I was calling to confirm if I should still arrive to pick up the order or chalk up to a loss. I work in customer service, if I took an order for someone and knew they were on the way, I would at least answer the phone or honor the order or the very least greet the customer at the door and explain that you needed to be in the door before 6pm and not walk by and left the customer waiting outside for 10 minutes trying to confirm that they weren't going to honor the order. read more

Walked into Lanikai Juice in Kahala and haven't been in here for 4 months. I ordered their yummy Kailua monkey w almond milk instead of soy and extra peanut butter. I ordered the large size. The person who took my order never smiles. She isn't welcoming at all. She is larger and never ever friendly. That is when I remembered why I don't get smoothies here anymore. She took my order with her straight face and then proceeded to make my drink. Then another girl came up to take another customers order and they just put my drink on the side corner of their counter. The new cashier looked at me with this weird stink eye and said that's yours. So I got up from the table I was sitting at and grabbed my drink and straw to proceed out the door. Every single time I come here the employees are not friendly. They look as if the person in charge is why they are stressed out or not happy. I am so surprised for being in kahala that they allow these types of dissatisfying employees to work here. The Kailua location was the best! Everyone is so cheery, friendly and helpful! The Hawaii kai location I went to years ago has this same straight faced girl working there. This girl is here in kahala now. Gosh someone please get rid of her. It's extremely rare for me to give 1-star reviews, but regrettably, this location warranted one. I normally love the Matcha Green bowl from Lanikai so much, but wow this location butchered it completely. I so looked forward to tasting the smooth vanilla-y creaminess of the base, which was what I loved most about this bowl, but the one here literally tasted like someone blended water with spinach. I think they may have forgotten the protein powder? The milk? Idk, this was literally just grass water and I was appalled and how different it tasted from all the other times I've gotten this (different Lanikai locations tho). On top of that, they really skimped on the honey. I wouldn't have minded that as much if the base were as tasty and sweet as it should have been, but because there was no flavor in the foundation, the whole bowl was miserable to finish. If I didn't bring my own granola, I would have tossed this bowl away. Seriously embarrassing in terms of quality control. I hope someone can look into this because this makes me never want to go to Lanikai again with this sour experience from this location.
