Since I was in the Kapahulu area I did a quick stop which is easy as they have lots of free parking getting here is easy along with enjoying your cool sip with various seating available inside as well. The vibe here is nice and cool with friendly staff how do you not be tempted as I noticed a secret underground menu of strawberry matcha lol and current seasonal sips is watermelon...yum! Later found that Kahala will pour into own cup. 1* Iced drinks, mangomorphosis & dragonberry bliss lacked flavor. Watery. Colorful tho. Glad tried during the $1 promo. 2* Scant toppings for the acai bowl, especially for the price. Substituted blueberries for banana & only given 1 portion of blueberries (saw them add only 1 scoop). Got Jamba? It was a hot summer sunny day spent well at the Honolulu Zoo! Our next stop to cool off was to head down to the nearest Jamba Juice. Life's suddenly cooler with açaí and watermelon breeze at Jamba Juice in Kapahulu. Lance greeted us with a smile. Even though he's wearing a mask, I was able to tell that he was smiling, his eyes were squinting. He also laughed when I noticed he got super close to the computer. I asked why. He said, he had forgotten to bring his eyeglasses. He laughed. It's nice to have someone assist you with a friendly smile specially after a long, hot day. The açaí is made is açaí and grape juice blend with blueberries, strawberries, bananas and topped off with granola. The watermelon breeze is made with a watermelon, raspberry and grape juice plus raspberry sherbet. The blend is so perfect to cool off on a hot summer day. Both were perfect! I was in the area and stopped by to get a smoothie. It was scorching hot out. I couldn't decide what to get. I used to always get the white gummy bear off their secret menu. I'm happy it's on the regular menu now. I guess for the summer they rolled out their tropical smoothies : lavaflow, watermelon breeze and pina colada. Those looked really good, but I eventually went with the mega mango. I love my mango drinks. It was actually really good. It's hard to guess with the smoothies at Jamba. Sometimes, the drinks are really sweet and sometimes the drinks are really tart depending on which one you get. This one was somewhere in the middle. read more

Got a breakfast sandwich for the first time that had a sausage pattie and eggs with some veggies in it. It was crazy good! Totally would get it again. Menu has changed quite a bit and they no longer have bright eyed blueberry which was my favorite (the cashier had no idea what it was when I asked if she remembered it). So last night I was supposed to pick up a mobile order, but amidst my procrastinating, and my Uber catching all the yellow lights, I got there 2 mins late after they closed. I had the birthday coupon for a free small smoothie. I wanted to try the blue vanilla sky, so I ordered that. I was going to pay the difference to upgrade it to the large, and the price of the upgrade was $4... isn't that close to the price of a regular smoothie??? I didn't want to hold up the line, so I was just going to pay for it. I was going to pay for it using Apple Pay, and I didn't bring cash because it said they take Apple Pay. However, they DO NOT take Apple Pay, so I wasn't able to pay for the upgrade anyways. I asked them to split my drink into two cups, and I basically got two smalls. Came here for a smoothie, there was at least 3-4 people in front of us still waiting for their orders. There were two people working, one girl and one guy. I could tell they were busy. We waited a while for someone to take our order, which was fine because I honestly didn't know what I wanted. I decided to get the limited birthday cake smoothie. Sounded really good. We waited for maybe ten mins, in the mean time I was looking at their reviews on yelp. Sadly like this one here, there are a lot of bad reviews. I watched the people in front of us get their drinks and I saw them make the birthday cake and I was excited. The phone was ringing off the hook the whole time, and no one was picking it up. The guy in the back looked like he was focused on putting all the ingredients in the blenders and was nicely finishing them and giving them away. I realized that everyone ahead of us got their drinks and ours were in the blender. The birthday cake comes with sprinkles so she added it in, then blended it up a little to incorporate it. She put my drink in my cup and it didn't look like it filled it up enough. At this point I thought she was going to remake it. I saw her put it back in the blender frustrated, and add TWO scoops of ice into it. She was trying to blend it fast by putting it on the blender, taking it off, tapping it, and putting it back on again and switching between two blenders. I already knew my drink was going to be bad at this point. She refilled my cup and threw the rest out. I got a size small . My smoothie came out chunky with ice, and with no flavor because she added too much ice and wasted at least a third of it. One scoop would have filled it up but two made the smoothie lack in flavor and unable to blend. I was honestly upset. Jamba Juice smoothies are not cheap. I came here and paid for a quality smoothie and did not get it. I felt bad for these guys because they were busy. I didn't mind the wait at all if I just got my smoothie right. I didn't want to go back inside and complain. I probably will not go back to this Jamba Juice or drive out of my way to go to another location. read more

I remember when this place used to be Keo's way back when. Since that time, it has changed into a multiple business setup with Jamba Juice, Kozo Sushi and Starbucks sharing space. Jamba is the one closest to the decent sized parking lot behind. Jamba is in a prime location on Kapahulu. As such this place tends to be pretty popular. At least that is the impression that I get this morning. True that a Buy One, Get One Free promotion will get a lot of foot traffic in the door. This was the case as the wait for the drinks was about 15 minutes. Got a gotta guava smoothie ($3.75 for 16 oz.). Haven't seen this drink recently at the Washington store so I decided to give it a try, It was a good mix of flavors. Most of the smoothies have a similar taste to them that is very consistent. Kind of like you would expect from a chain of which this is. Recently Jamba introduced food options including flatbreads and I noticed they also have acai cups here. Interesting to see this offered, but it is in line with what chains do in the islands which is tailor to their audience (ex. McDonald's saimin). Overall, I like Jamba Juice. It offers a healthy eating alternative plus it is conveniently located in Kapahulu and just a 10-15 minute walk from the beach. read more

We normally come here because the workers make their drinks the right way: fast and good. Monday August 29th opening shift: Lame, very lame and lousy work. The team lead didn't even know what was where and how to make the drink we ordered. The boy working o my acai bowl took his sweet ass time making it. They did not move with any sense of urgency or speed. We left quickly after getting our orders. On our way to work, I finally had the chance to look at my acai bowl and it was horrible. I ate it like I would eat soup. It was completely soupy. Horrible. Those two need to start taking their jobs more seriously and get on top of their work. The only time she acknowledged me was when her teammate came out of of the restroom. My daughter and I went to the Kapahulu location on Friday morning about 10:30/11:00am. Unfortunately, aside from my daughter being satisfied with her bowl, their service was poor. Three employees working at the time, a girl and 2 guys. One cutting fruits in the back for a customer's bowl and another blending drinks, the other kind of running around doing random things. I understand it can get busy.. it can't be helped, but c'mon acknowledge your customers people. We were 2nd in line and 2 other customers walked in. No "Hi, welcome" and for the person standing at the register waiting to order no "I'll be right with you" much less a "thank you for waiting" when they were able to take the order. Part of the problem is they're all young kids, which most of nowadays don't know common courtesy. These employees/employers need to start remembering that especially during this pandemic, if it weren't for customers like us still giving you business, you wouldn't have jobs to still go to. read more

I love watching them make the drinks, but when I got my drink, there was about 1 inch of emptiness at the top of the cup. I think they were rushing and didn't want to tap out the extra drips from the blender because the line grew a little longer. They fed me plastic in my smoothie! After getting about halfway through my drink I found a chunk of blue rubbery plastic in my mouth! Then I found another bigger one at the bottom of the drink. I don't know if I swallowed some. The way those blenders work I would guess I consumed small bits without knowing it. After bringing this to their attention and back and forth over email.
