I inspected it visually before renting and gave them the benefit of doubt that it just looks a little beat up as it is a rental. But I get home, plug it into the wall and this "beauty" produces half of the torque my handheld, battery, compact DeWalt impact does. Not to mention that Pin Detent on the anvil of the corded impact was completely pressed in so you couldn't even properly lock an impact socket on the dang thing first and last time I'll be coming here, wish I took pics and vids of the tool performance because it was hilarious. No idea why they rent tools that don't perform as they should and leave it to the customer to find out after spending money renting the equipment!

The turnaround time for ordered parts isn't the fastest, but its consistent and they will always alert you when the parts arrive. Prices are reasonable as far as authorized-dealer-OEM parts go. I know my company has been giving Twin City Saw business for 10+ years, and I plan on continuing giving them my business for years to come.

I had SW Power Equipment pick up my riding lawn mower on April 21 for what was supposed to be a…read moresimple drive belt replacement. Before scheduling service, I was told the repair would take 2 weeks from when it was picked up. Instead, I did not get my mower back until May 27 -- more than five weeks later. After the first 10 days, I called for an update and was told they had not even started the repair but would get to it "next week." Sixteen days after pickup, I was then informed they still needed to order the belt, which would take another week. The part did not arrive until May 21. To make matters worse, they scheduled delivery for May 25 and specifically told me they would still deliver that morning despite me reminding them that it was a holiday. I stayed home waiting for them, only to call them around 11:00 a.m. and be told they were not delivering because it was a holiday. I have paperwork showing the delivery was scheduled for May 25, so this was clearly a failure in communication on their end. When the mower was finally returned on May 27, it was covered in bird droppings and leaves from obviously being stored outside. I gave them a clean mower and received it back in unacceptable condition. At no point did anyone apologize in a meaningful way or offer any discount or compensation for the excessive delays, poor communication, wasted time, or condition of my equipment upon return. If you are looking for a company that overpromises, underdelivers, and provides poor customer service, SW Power Equipment fits that description perfectly. They have permanently lost my business, and I will absolutely share my experience with others.

I brought it back and told them I hadn't even taken it out of my car after realizing the problem. Without me even asking, Craig, offered to take it back and have me rented another time without charge. That is so beyond amazing customer service when they had absolutely no reason to do that. I rented it fair and square and it was my problem that led to me not being able to use it. Not only that, but I took it off their shelf preventing someone else from renting it and they still offered to cover it for me.

They didn't send me on my way; instead, they took the time to check the back room, just in case there was leftover stock that hadn't made it to the floor. When that didn't pan out, they didn't stop there. One of the employees pulled up their online inventory system to see if it was available or if other locations might have them. This kind of proactive service is what makes Ace feel like the helpful neighborhood hardware store it's known to be. Even though I left empty-handed this time, I left with a positive impression. It helps that the store's just a short walk from my house. But what turned me into such a fan is the exceptional customer service. As soon as I step in the door I know I'll get a friendly hello and offer of help from whoever's working the counter. Owner Jim Welna and his staff have proven time and time again they're more than happy to go the extra mile to come up with solutions to problems. Plus, when it comes to product recommendations, I can trust they'll steer me in the right direction. Instead of the most expensive item, they'll show me what's locally produced, eco-friendly, AND most cost effective. If they don't have what I need they'll do what they can to make sure I get it. And these people know their stuff! One more thing: If your timing's right, as mine was on my second trip, Mr. Welna might offer you one of the hot dogs he's got cooking on the grill out back. That's the kind of added bonus that makes this family-owned neighborhood hardware such a standout!
