This place is ok but certainly not a 4 star. I usually eat salads for lunch with some protein. The salads are fresh but I have a problem with the menu describing the salads as "greens" when in reality there are no "greens but only iceberg lettuce with maybe a little bit of romaine lettuce in the salads. This is fine if you don't really care that much about what you are eating and just want to eat. Service is always prompt and efficient but not particularly friendly. The salads next door are far superior in nutrition and variety of fresh ingredients but cost $4-$5 more. I have paying $14 or $15 for lunch so don't eat there often. I wish this place would just up its nutritional game just a bit. read more

I used to go to Lansdowne Arms at least once a week when I lived in Highlands Ranch and I always had a great time! I never felt ignored and my glass was never empty. The food was always great, try the Adult Mac&Cheese for dinner, but get the Tenderloin Steak Tips for an appetizer, they are the absolute bomb. (KAPLOWIE!!!) And, the Fish and Chips are better here than most places I've been in and around Denver honestly. You have a few fun seating options too, the library is nice for a brunchy kindof day but the upstairs patio and bar are perfect for the end of a long summer day, especially when there's a band playing upstairs. The Saint Pattys day celebration is always a full house with bands, traditional Irish dancing and head-shaving for the Saint Baldricks Cancer Foundation, so get there early and grab a table or a spot at the bar!! read more

I like this place. I understand why some folks might not rate it very highly because the food is just a bit above average. But it's a cool neighborhood Irish style pub. Huge bar with lots of seats, great service and unusual menu items. Shepherds Pie, Prime Rib, Angus Burgers, even Chicken Curry. The place is always crowded with a mature local crowd. Not too loud, I think just right. Good fallback any night of the week and there's a private dining room if you want a quieter or romantic setting. We have never been disappointed going here. It is a casual fun place for a quick bite to eat family-friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The happy hour here is good for half price aps. We especially like the mussels, Irish nachos and the calamari. For dinner we had prime rib which my husband said was delicious and I had the fish and chips which was excellent as well. Traditionally the food and service is great. However, I found out soon enough that the customer is not always right. I got transferred three separate times to speak to the gal that took my order, not a manager. The gal was rude and condescending and implied that I was in the wrong. Not only was the salad order incorrect but it was soggy and it was nothing better than fast food. The sandwich had sliced chicken breast and not a patty. They asked me to come in and get the right order after a long day of work and a long commute home. Service at the bar was terrible. Drinks were not made consistently, refills were waaaayyyy to slow, servers were stacking chairs 2 hours before closing. Bathrooms were horribly maintained with a complete lack of supplies!! We didn't even feel we could complain to management as he was drinking something while chatting behind the bar with the staff. Worst service ever. Waitress couldn't remember our order and messed up our drinks a couple of times. She was very slow to ask for seconds (we probably would have ordered a few more). We would have complained to the manager, but he was no better (don't know what HE was having to drink at the bar). The waitress even started stacking chairs and cleaning up more than two hours before closing on a Friday night!!! The bathrooms were not maintained; no toilet paper, no paper towels, broken soap dispenser. On the good side, the fish tacos were awesome and so were the fried pickles. read more

A very nice patio for drinks and dining when the weather permits. The service can be spotty, but the food is almost always good, and the bangers and mash don't disappoint. Thought there would be a better beer selection, but no no there wasn't. So I went with the old standby of iced tea, and I couldn't tell the difference between the water and the tea. So coming here from Florida I miss Cuban food, so when I saw a Cuban sandwich I was excited, once again another let down, it was tasty but not like south Florida. We came here for dinner on a Friday night and the service was fabulous! We were seated right away which is great when you have three little boys in tow. Everyone was friendly and inviting and they made us feel right at home. The food was amazing as well. Lansdowne Arms is a regular stop for us now. The restaurant serves good food, always has a nice wait staff, and is close to home, but the real win is sitting on the roof to eat or have a drink. The prime rib is great and the other options are good too. The bar area is always lively and the dining area is well lit and enjoyable. I wish the menu had a few more options, but sitting on the roof with the view just makes it all worthwhile. read more

This place is really a one star establishment but I'm giving it an extra star for being in a foodie desert. The other star is for the reasonably priced beer. The food is plane gross. I had a beef sandwich with Irish cheddar and a cup of French onion soup. The soup had zero flavor, the cheese wasn't melted and the crouton had no texture. The sandwich was equally unappealing. Service was forgetful but friendly. Had bread pudding for dessert. It was as bad as the rest of the meal. Finally, I would not return anyway, but this place has a policy of carding everyone. The food was excellent but the service was horrible. My husband ordered the prime rib boxty and asked for extra sauce as soon as his food came out. 5 minutes later, still no sauce. We asked our waiter again for more sauce. He disappeared and we never saw him again for the rest of the meal. We finally flagged down a waitress and after asking for the 3rd time she finally brought him his sauce. Since our waiter never came back through the entire meal to check on us, when it was time to leave we had to flag down another waiter and ask him to send our waiter back out just so we could get a box and pay the bill. When the check arrived it was wrong, they had charged us for the full price prime rib instead of the Sunday Special. We don't live in this area but were driving through after running an errand. We needed to eat dinner and wanted to avoid the plethora of chain restaurants. So we saw this place and stopped. We wish we had eaten at a chain. The place was packed on a Friday night and had to wait for a table - no big deal. But what we can't now figure out is why the place was packed. The food is terrible and expensive. I am not going to get into any details because it isn't worth it. The only positive thing I can say is that the server did comp my meal. I wouldn't have been happy to pay for something I couldn't eat because it was so bad. It looks like it would be a fun place for drinks/happy hour and maybe watch a game. But find someplace else if you want a meal. One other positive note, they do have a gluten free menu which makes it easier to order but I don't think the staff is educated about what gluten free means. I asked about gluten free and ordered a gluten free entree and fries. The fries it turns out were coated fries and those are always coated in a gluten based batter. So be aware if you are ordering gluten free. read more

Went there for July 4th with a group of 100 people ordered dinner and a drink and everyone got kicked out because the establishment claimed that nobody was ordering enough to be able to stay and enjoy the fireworks show. Will tell everyone about this poor experience and I know everyone else was really upset about this too. We went to a place next door and people were still ordering food and drinks. I went to Landsdowne Arms on Saturday the 26th 2010 and the service was horrible. The servers, bartenders, and management ignored us. Its like there was no management present!! Then there was the ROACH problem!!! OMG it was seriously disgusting. I have never seen so many cock roaches in my life. I will never be going back there again, it was just too gross. Landsdowne can be good, but is often too pricey for what you get. The patio is nice, as are the furnishings. The service is often spotty, and ranges from good to apathetic. Today we went in and sat in the bar area. There was no hostess nor greeting at the door. We sat ourselves, and waited in vain for a server to acknowledge us. We also noticed other patrons desperately trying to get the servers' attention. My husband commented that perhaps they were understaffed. However, we then saw several waiters congregated around the tv watching a basketball game, ignoring the customers. We decided at that point to leave, after 10 minutes of being ignored. It is a shame that such a nicely appointed place with such a great location can't seem to put customer service first. There are better restaurants nearby that treat people like valued customers. I really hope Landsdowne will take their customers seriously and improve their service. We live close and would like this to be neighborhood pub, but it hasn't gotten there yet. read more
