My wife and I have lived in the area now for almost a year, and we've used this place for drinks and meeting up with friends, but never for dinner. Our previous experiences have been "ok", nothing great, nothing bad. We went tonight for dinner. It was awful. I wish zero stars were an option. It took 15-minutes to be greeted with menus... 30-minutes for drinks. The menu was very limited and way over priced for the grease that it was. It took well over 45-minutes for us to get our food (chicken strips and grilled chicken). Our waitress said the food would be on the house since it took so long, well, the slob of a manager wouldn't take credit for the 2-hours we were in the restaurant and would only buy our one drink. Unacceptable. We were much more upset about the time we waited, the bad food, and the misleading of our waitress. The breast was beyond dry and it was no wonder it took for ever to come out, they made sure it was cooked... They cooked it SO long the breast shrunk to a 2"x2" square, no joke. The tomato was bigger. We would have said something to the manager, but our waitress said it was already being taken care of yet it wasn't. This place deserves zero business and should be replaced by a worthy restaurant. Landsdowne Arms is only surviving, like the rest of the restaurants in Highalnds Ranch, because there are very few other options. Next time I'll go to Red Robin. Come for drinks, but leave before food. Will not be back. read more

This is an establishment that, unfortunately, cares little about their customers. On a recent visit to watch a sporting event with a group of friends, we were told we could have two TVs to watch on but no volume. Ok. Then the manager came over during the middle of the game, and told us she had to change the TV, thereby leaving us with one small TV. She was quite rude about it and not at all willing to work towards a solution. The bartender was great. The food was well below average. I would not go back. read more

We came here the day we applied for our new apartment to celebrate with a beer. We came back for lunch just after our one month anniversary as husband and wife. We brought friends from back home for dinner a few weeks later. I have always received great service, fantastic food, and enjoyed the atmosphere. This was my go-to place for happy hour last summer. Partly because I can walk there from my house (always a bonus when you'll be drinking) but also because of the mini-cheeseburgers (only $1 and as addictive as crack) and a super yummy green drink (sorry, can't remember the name!). Sadly, in the fall they changed their drink menu and the green drink went away. I'm hoping with the warmer weather, it is or soon will be back. The patio is a great place to hang with friends. I'm not a huge fan of the regular menu - it just seems too fancy to truly be a pub to me - but happy hour is fantastic. read more

My friends and I have been going to Lansdowne for years. We love PAM who is a dedicated server there for many years! She is ALWAYS extremely friendly to every single customer and I don't know if management appreciates this wonderful gal or not, but she makes this restaurant what it is. So enthusiastic and she makes everyone feel so welcome and treats everyone like we are a guest in her own home. She always goes above and beyond for us every time we're there and it is greatly appreciated. The food, atmosphere and other employees are wonderful as well!! .... The only negative thing is that you have such a beautiful patio upstairs with amazing views and it is 'closed' 90% of the time. read more

When I was in town finding a place to move to, we visited this bar and it was awesome! Once we moved to Highlands Ranch, we visited quite often and enjoyed the Breakfast Burrito and Irish Pub atmosphere. I took a friend there on Sunday and was soooo disappointed. Lansdowne Arms has unfortunatley taken a turn in the wrong direction. The food was still good but the Service was terrible! The bartender was rude, didn't smile, and even rolled her eyes at us. The bartenders that were there before would actually have a conversation with us and made us feel welcomed and part of the atmosphere. Once we experienced this bartender's bad attitude and vibe, we looked around and what would normally be a busy location - was now an almost empty bar. Lansdowne Arms has always been one of our favorite places to eat in Highlands Ranch. However this time we couldn't help but notice a gnat problem. Although I am not an exterminator, I would think a good fumigation when the restaurant is closed (night and early morning) would take care of the problem. If the manager was concerned, I wish he would have acknowledged the problem after we raised it with our server, but nothing happened other than receiving an apology and blaming it on the open patio. If you wish to still try this place, I recommend the chicken curry, any of the sandwiches and the soups. Hopefully this problem is resolved soon. read more

We sat at our table for 30 minutes and finally left. Bartender served us one drink as we patiently waited for someone, anyone to take our order, no luck. Manager behind bar was oblivious to people staring at him waiting for service. I guess if we sat at the bar we would have received service. 1 waitress for entire area? Landsdowne Arms' Cantina is a find!!! My husband and I were walking around HR Town Center when we decided to investigate this upstairs haven. Our bar tenders were so friendly and quite knowledgeable about the delicious drink menu. The mojitos we Ardmore's were delicious... not sure what the twist is- fabulous! We also ordered the nachos which were so spectacularly different in taste- a must! Wish we could have stayed for the band... Tim, the owner, was kind enough to stop by to chat with us... I needed to tell him how wonderful a job he did creating this new bar and kitchen above the downstairs restaurant. Looking forward to stopping by again next weekend- thanks Tim! read more

I was a little freaked out at some of the reviews I read prior to writing mine. This was the first time my wife and I had eaten here and it was fantastic. I had a gift certificate and we were joined by another couple. I had been looking for "good" fish & chips for years and they were in fact great. I had a perfectly made black & tan and everyone was extremely pleased with their dinners. I will have to admit that it was my wife's choice of the shepards pie that stole the show and I can't wait to go back to have it. We sat in the back dining room which might have kept the noise down. The service was very good and most of the time there was double coverage. One of our friends is very demanding and has multiple food allergies and they handled her with ease. So I'm hoping that management has made the necessary changes based on some prior reviews because I cannot wait to go back! read more

Love the name first of all. I went to school next door to Lansdowne stadium in Dublin. So, kudos on the name. Good drinks, good staff, good food. The only part that makes it less Irish is that you walk out into 80 degrees sunny skies afterwards, but the owners are not to blame for this. read more

We went to Lansdowne for the first time today. Its a really nice pub atmosphere, very relaxed and the food was excellent. We had the Irish nachos for a bar food snack and the horseradish sauce was delightful! Lansdowne Arms is an admirably upscale Irish pub that definitely belongs in Highlands Ranch. The Whiskey selection was pretty good, the Guinness was more-or-less poured properly and the food was fantastic. Unlike other reviewers I thought the service was fine, though not fantastic and it was a great place to spend an evening with family where a few of us could get drinks and the others felt comfortable in a clean and not too loud of an atmosphere. Definitely not the grungy Irish pub atmosphere we know and love but a great restaurant regardless. The bill did add up fast though. read more

My partner and I came here for Valentine's Day (yesterday). First thing that surprised me was there wasn't a line out the door. We were seated right away and the hostess was very pleasant. The seating area felt comfortable and relaxing. Also, there's actual books on the shelves in the room with the fireplace. That was very cool. Most places play lip service to looking civilized. But actual books is a great decoration. Looked like some of them had been picked up and possible read by patrons when they were there. The waitstaff was very attentive without being intrusive. The food....wow. So good. I had the NY strip, medium. Cooked to perfection. The potatoes were amazing and the veggies were great too. She had a soup, and she looooved it. The artichoke appetizer we had, I can't remember the name, could be a main course it was so good. I was half tempted to cancel the steak and get another one of those! Worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant. The calamari appetizer was very old, hard and very fishy. The Shepard's pie was supposed to contain braised beef. None, It was old clumpy ground beef and very little of it. I was so embarrassed for our church party of eight that I has our very nice waitress box it up and fed it to my dog. The menu is actually fairly robust and portion sizes are large. I had the Shepard's Pie. It was decent with a tomato flavor that was pretty prevalent throughout. Service was pretty good and our server helped us move inside when it started to pour.
