For the rear part of the house, we did a "comp out" around our solar panels, which looks great. This project was quite involved, and took a very long time to complete due to our solar contractors. David was very patient throughout the whole process, and didn't put any pressure on us. Three things that I really liked: 1. Visually, the roof looks excellent. It looks much cleaner than the previous tile roof. Juan, our lead roofer on the project, as well as the rest of the team, did a great job. 2. When there were minor issues that popped up, which are to be expected with such a complex job, guys were at the house the next day to take care of them. 3. Of the many contractors that came to bid on this roof job, DT Roofing was the only one willing to actually do a true tile rest, and try and save as many existing historic tiles on our roof. Almost every roofing company that came out tried to pressure us to get rid of the existing tiles, and just buy new tiles, saying that at least 70% of our tiles were going to break when removed. The guys were able to save the majority of my tiles, which helped to save us money, and also helped us to keep using many of the tiles original to the house.

My husband and I purchased our first home in 2022, a house built in 1929 and, before us, owned by…read moreone family for 30 years. The previous owner had done a lot of patch repairs on the roof himself, so after the rains in 2022/23 and the hurricane this summer, those smaller repairs no longer held and we had a massive leak on our hands. We contacted a few roofing companies, but most were not willing to physically come to our home to look at the leak and give us an estimate. Hexagon was the first company that came out, and Jared showed up promptly, equipped with a ladder and a drone. He spent some time on the roof, took pictures, and walked us through what was going on. As first time home owners, we really appreciated that Jared was willing to take his time and talk us through everything. The issue was felt paper underlayment which was basically crumbling at this point, and the plywood beneath the roofing shingles was exposed and rotting. Jared gave us a few options, gave us a few quotes for those options, and encouraged us to get other quotes before making our decision. Ultimately, we went with Jared and Hexagon because we felt that their price was fair, and they give you a 50 year warrantee for the materials and a 10 year warrantee on the labor, and we appreciated the time and care Jared took with us during our initial inspection. Scheduling the job was a little stop and start, but once we got a time on the books, Jared and his team showed up, and replaced an entire section of our roof in one day. They even went out and got paint to match our house trim so that everything looked perfect, and they installed attic vents (which our attic DESPERATELY needed), that weren't even part of the initial quote. Jared's team took pictures of their work along the way, and while I wish the roofers had been a bit more communicative with us throughout the process (which we told Jared when he came to close out the job), their work was excellent. And the quote was accurate, no extra charges or hidden fees. What's more, we had a small issue with one of our front porch tiles getting cracked in the process of debris coming off the roof, and Jared went above and beyond to make sure the tile was replaced before he would accept final payment for the job. We're planning to have Hexagon and Jared come back to do another section of our roof that's not currently leaking, but has the same felt underlayment. I truly couldn't be happier with the work and customer service, and can't recommend Hexagon highly enough.

I found water again on the bathroom floor last time it rained back in Feb of 2026. Irlicia contacted me and sceduled the repair on the 27th of Feb between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM. Guess what, I waited at my house, AGAIN, and no one showed! So they decide to come on the 28th. As I walked out of my house that day I discovered clay tiles nailed to the side of my house. And tiles missing from the top. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the tiles suppose to go on top? I ask you again, how is this going to stop any leak? That's the truth! Also, Can you and your office team please stop avoiding my emails. I have been trying to contact you and Wendy these past two weeks. Most important, his crew takes their time, they're not rushed. His guys took a week to do my roof where others said they'd get it done in 3 days. I actually went to look at other jobs before hiring a roofer. His guys were careful and did all the repairs we agreed to. I especially liked how they didn't charge a per sqft for deck replacement, it was just included in the price. They also fixed rafter tails as needed and primed them for protection. They came with their own porta potty and didn't pass the cost onto me, just one simple price. What was great is that the one simple price was lower than other crews and used better material. Instead of paper, they used ULD synthetic underlayment. I asked for peel and stick ice and water shield in the valleys, a new cricket for the chimney. I was on site every day up on the roof inspecting and they never seemed annoyed with me looking over things. I asked a lot of questions and pointed out areas I'd like them to focus on or fix an issue (missed nail on a rafter tail, soft deck needing more replacement, uneven deck, etc.). You should always inspect work and not wait until the end when fixes are difficult and be reasonable in your asks. These guys are cool and will help you and want you to be happy, just be respectful and don't wait till the end of the job to give them a list of issues. The only real hiccup was that the shingle model delivered wasn't the model I specified. The brand, color and warranty is the same, but the SRI index was different. Ultimately, we worked out a fair compromise and am satisfied with the result.
