I wish I could rate specific doctors. I brought my 3yrs old dog here after noticing changes in her effort to breathe as well as complete loss of control of her bladder. The staff at the front desk was welcoming, compassionate and very accommodating for my reactive dog. The nurse/tech was the same... I'd give them all 5 stars. The wait was long which I always understand and anticipate (it's good when you're not the most critical patient!) But after waiting 4hrs I was met with Dr. Michael McGinley. He was dismissive of my concerns and framed further diagnostics as optional and unadvisable. Because my dogs condition seemed better, I showed him videos from earlier that day that proved her struggle to breathe/catching her breath. He told me it was reverse sneezing. It was not. Despite my hesitation and respectful push back, I decided to listen to him and we went home. $200 for a set of vitals. After about an hour of being home, my dog continued to struggle. She couldn't catch her breath, had a persistent and relentless cough and began puking. I took her back. Again all the front staff was amazing, I requested a new doctor and after triaging her, we decided imaging would give us a better idea of what was going on. They took her back quickly, and Dr. Alan Ludwikowski came in with results. Aspiration pneumonia... a diagnosis that if left untreated could be detrimental. Dr. Ludwikowski was amazing. He would have received more than 5 stars. He was compassionate, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything. He gave me options and the risks involved, he told me all the warning signs to look out for and what they meant. Overall the staff were very kind and supportive. But Dr McGinely was dismissive and made me feel like a nuisance. He didn't seem inquisitive or curious enough to put all her symptoms together for a diagnosis. He just kept saying "I'm not sure how it all fits together". I'm thankful for the techs/nurses and Dr Ludwikowski... but I would highly advise against seeing Dr mcginely.

My first experience with MedVet was Monday, June 16 as my small dog had Syncopal Episodes three days in a row. They were quick to get her in and diagnosed congestive heart failure. She is on Furosemide to pull fluid out of the lungs and Pimobendan to increase heart function. I was disappointed in the lack of explanation of diet or side affects of the medications which should have been discussed at discharge. I had many questions but felt the discharge person was rushed. My dog has not had a bowel movement since Monday. I called MedVet and was asked to wait one more day yesterday. So tonight, Wednesday evening I called back explaining the situation and was told by Crissy, "you're welcome to bring her in to be assessed." Seriously? And would that be another $2 grand through the Emergency Room? In the meantime, at 10:30pm tonight, I called VEG Easton and spoke to Doctor Jordan and gave him my dog's patient history. He was able to answer dietary questions and indicated it was okay to give her pumpkin or sweet potato to help with bowel movement. Unfortunately, VEG Easton doesn't have a cardiologist on staff. Thank you VEG Easton for giving me piece of mind and being professional, understanding and empathetic.

Still 5 Stars. My little dog Zoey was admitted again due to chronic gastrointestinal issues. Dr. Jones has to be the kindest most knowledgeable veterinarian Ive ever encountered. She truly cares about your animal I promise. Thank you so much Dr Jones. You are an amazing human.

Dr. Dudley and his team were absolutely wonderful. Cats Only Veterinary recommended us to him for my cat's amputation surgery (back right leg, vaccine related fibrosarcoma) and he did an excellent job. Within 2 weeks of our vet's recommendation we had our cat home and recovering from surgery. Truly took the time to sit down with me and walk me through exactly what the surgery entailed. Sent us home with very clear instructions and great pain medicine. They told us to call with any questions during recovery and when I did, they were quick to respond. They saved her life and were so thankful!

Yes, extremely and payment is needed up front. When the cost runs over (and it will), do not anticipate taking your pet home even if you pay $20,000 of a $20,001 bill; every dollar and cent will be extracted from you, regardless of how your animal…

Our black lab (Ollie), took some kitchen scissors out of the sink and chewed the handles while we were sleeping. We found the chewed scissors with no pieces of the handle to be found. We assumed he ingested them and decided to be safe and take him to an emergency vet. First, we took him to a closer, well known emergency vet in Hilliard. After an hour wait, we discovered they were not equipped to help. Seems like any emergency vet should be able to handle an accidental ingestion, but they couldn't and what they could do was at least another 90 minute wait. I should add that I understand that Ollie was not in immediate danger (yet) and his appearance and behavior were good enough to tolerate a long wait - but I just didn't like how unprepared they seemed for what I think should be a relatively routine incident. We left and intended to go to their larger location, but it was such a poor experience I wanted to find an alternative. We found the Dublin VEG and it was relatively close. I called ahead and talked to a pleasant staff member who gave me an idea of the types of things we would likely need and she indicated they could handle this sort of issue. We arrived received immediate attention. They quickly x-rayed the scissors to see if the handle material would show up clearly enough to make it effective and when it confirmed, they quickly got Ollie in and x-rayed. They were able to rule out any large pieces and it felt safe to proceed with induced vomiting. Several minutes later, the bits and pieces of the handles were out of Ollie, giving us a sigh of relief. I wish I could remember names, but the staff were all amazing. The care plan options were immediate - even in a somewhat tricky scenario given the material. The caring and demeanor of all of the staff put us at ease right away and we knew we made the right decision to come here. The open layout was immediately comforting to both us and our dog. I had noticed the comment on the website that said that this would be a different sort of experience, but I didn't really think about it. After experiencing this place, I don't think I could go back to the old way of being separated while your pet is taken into some back room. If I could give them ten stars, I would. I hope we don't need an emergency vet again, but if we do, we won't go anywhere else.

My experience at VEG was as good as a late night vet visit could be, and better than the experience at the regular vet, if I'm honest. Ginger was seen as soon as we walked in. The facility was very clean and I loved the open space concept. Everything was very transparent and I didn't feel like anything was being recommended or decided behind my back. The staff would check regularly on all the pets and demonstrated so much care. The staff presented me with various care options with no judgement or pressure to choose a treatment plan throughout the process. They even offered snacks and drinks while I waited. They weren't in any rush to make us leave, and even helped get Ginger back in my car as it was super icy outside. I will absolutely recommend VEG to anyone in need of an emergency vet.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by everyone. They were so kind. The plan is an open concept where staff members are not only assisting you, but also assisting the other patients. After the initial assessment, they bring you to a private room. At least this was my experience. They treated my baby girl Chanel like a queen. They were open and honest with their findings, as well as what possible next steps were. It is the worst thing to have to decide what to do when bringing finances into it. Again, they were open and honest and absolutely doted on Chanel. I was able to come and go as I needed, and in the meantime, I knew that my cat was in good hands. No ER visit is ever a wanted visit, however, my stress definitely went down after seeing their care of her. Unfortunately, my cat had been down a very long road, and looking back, I didn't know this would be the week that she would cross the rainbow bridge. However, I had a second visit just a few days later to VEG ER after bringing her home from a hospitalization. And this is when again they were open honest and caring to Chanel. They gave me options again. They were up front with what they felt would be the outcome if we went down the full path. At that time we opted to put Chanel to rest. They let us sit back in the room with her for as long as we wanted. They had a book that you could write your stories and you could cuddle as long as you needed it and could reach out to them when you were ready. It is never the easiest to make such a decision however they were so kind in the process. I would highly recommend bringing your pets here for any urgent needs, because they will treat them like family while including you in on the care. I don't know the staff members' names for my second visit, I'd like to call out the amazing staff members that were working at our first visit. The following were all amazing and I thank you so very much for all of the care that you did. Dr Wakefield, Dr Wentworth, Ceondra, Rachel, Vicki, Alissa, Sydney, Jaylah. This call has still not been made by the manager nor the vet to communicate my cats bloodwork about heart disease. Disappointed. I have taken my babies here for the last few years, and recently this year they have dropped the ball. My oldest cat had bloodwork done, no communication had been received about bloodwork results. Not only have they not communicated bloodwork, but when I visited in April, i mentioned an issue of my cat itching themselves and over grooming. My cat apparently had fleas and although the receptionist said there were notes claiming they communicated flea treatments, I never actually was communicated the need of flea treatments or anything. The receptionist Marissa was rude and was not very attentive when i told her the issue, she just repeated information i had mentioned, like the appointment being in April and was trying to say that my cat must have gotten fleas AFTER when she has been itching and excessively grooming. I called Wednesday and was told both a vet and the manager would contact me regarding the issue, and to communicate the bloodwork I paid for; no one has given me any call back whatsoever. I expressed how now I have to treat my house AND my other cat because of their negligence and I have wasted my money on a blood exam they havent given me results to, when i paid a lot of money to get treatment and for the vet visit. However, I made an exception this time because one of my dogsitting clients takes her dogs here. Twice I've watched her dogs after they've been groomed (siberian huskies). Not only do they look nice right away and weeks afterwards, but the client raved about one particular groomer for the care taken with the older dog who has arthritis. I know she doesn't leave her dogs to just anyone. I drove by a few days before to see the setup. It's in a dedicated space away from PetSmart so the staff can focus only on the animals being groomed. From what I could see while waiting to be checked in and the wait to pick up my dog, they are doing things right. One person is manning the front desk taking calls, cashing people out, and sending out online invoices. So, first, I made the appointment online. I picked the day and could see which groomer was available and at what times. Pricing was very clear. There's the standard liability information disclaimer and several times was reminded to bring in the rabies information from the vet. When it was time for the appointment, we were the second dog waiting in line to be checked in. All check-in was done outside of the lobby area. The groomer reviewed what needed to be done with the dog, and listened very patiently to my tale about how my dog had been going to groomers for years but was nervous going in so I didn't know if that was going to impact how she behaved, etc. The expectation was clearly set on how long it would take (the furminator package takes longer), and that before my dog was ready, an invoice would be sent to me to pay so everything could be as contact free as possible. It wasn't long before closing time and I hadn't received an invoice yet so I called to check on when my dog would be ready. The receptionist answered the phone and said she would check with the groomer who was with another dog while mine was drying. I was able to hear most, but not all of the conversation, and it was relayed to me perfectly! The receptionist said she'd send me an invoice and told me when to be there to pickup my dog. Within moments I had a text message with the link for payment. When I arrived for pickup, I waited outside of my dog's view but could still her body. There was a mirror on the wall that allowed me to see my dog's head. When ready, the groomer brought my dog to me and gave me a report on how things had gone. She usually provides a written report but didn't have time which was fine with me. The groomer had stayed after closing time to properly finish up the grooming package. I wasn't going to ask her to write everything down. 1. She told me about the good behavior my dog exhibited which reinforced that my dog had been groomed before and knew what was generally expected. 2. She told me about the behavior my dog exhibited when uncomfortable with the belly brushing or the ear cleaning. 3. Let me know that I should keep an eye on the ear that was particularly dirty and was uncomfortable for my dog as it could be the beginning of an undetected ear infection. 4. Told me to call ahead and bring the dog back the next day if the chest hair was shaggy because it didn't have quite enough time to fully dry while she was rebrushing it. 5. Set the expectation that there would be slightly more shedding the next few days due to the grooming process. My word. This is more information than I've gotten anytime I've taken a dog to a dedicated groomer before and the best customer service I've ever received. Obviously they love the dogs and my groomer is a superstar!

It took us 5 hours at the vet, plus from 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM because they did not call and tell me what happened. I had to investigate and go down and insist on picking her up before they told me what happened. She had been bleeding for some time, it stopped (they said), then picked up again. I have no idea just how long this was going on before I showed up. My original appointment was with the manager, then I discovered she gave another groomer my dog instead. My main concern other than the fact that it even happened although I know it was not on purpose is that I was not notified when it first happened and the time dragged on and on until I just knew something must have been wrong because it does not take almost 5 hours to groom a dog who is in good grooming shape. When I called to see what was taking so long they told me it would be another 5 or 10 minutes (they were obviously still trying to stop the bleed), and I drove down anyway and even 20 minutes later when I told them I was in the car waiting on my girl, they finally came out to tell me the problem. I had them drive her to the vet with one holding her putting pressure on the wound and I followed - thank God it was only a few miles away. I am now on the phone with corporate awaiting information on how to get them to pay for the vet's follow up visit today because they are not answering my call nor did they respond to my email yesterday letting them know there will be another payment due. Overall very bad service and dangerous to my girl - not so much because of the accidental cut but because of the inability to come forth when it happened and deal with it like it should have been dealt with - IMMEDIATELY!
