I had the nicest experience with Lapeoni over the weekend. It was my mistake but I put it off until the very last minute to order flowers for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. I mean, VERY last minute- like the day before. I used Yelp to help send my request to four random florists of their choice, one of them being Lapeoni. I was extremely skeptical since there was no website, no reviews, nothing to go off. I didn't expect any replies that night since it was already late because the shops were in New York and I in California. However, the owner Edwin got back to me almost immediately. I loved how quick, polite and clear our communication was. I sent a picture of a bouquet that I had it mind, just to give some ideas. The person gave a quote, plus a reasonable $15 hand delivery fee. The price was fair, comparable to bouquets of other shops that I saw online. I thought it was going to be a very basic version of the bouquet I wanted. I asked that a photo be sent of the flowers before delivery, just so I could see what they looked like and they were absolutely beautiful. They were so much nicer than I expected. When the bouquet went out for delivery, my in-laws ended up not being home. They rang the bell, called and everything but there was no response. I was contacted through text message by the shop about what they wanted me to do. I loved how great the communication was. Almost the entire transaction happened through Yelp. It was so easy and stress-free. I'm so glad that I used Lapeoni. I highly recommend this shop for its customer service, professionalism and gorgeous arrangements. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. If I could give this florist zero stars, I would. I ordered 3 arrangements for my brother's funeral service In Brooklyn to be delivered at 8:15 a.m. since the services started at 9 a.m. I spoke to two different people to confirm the floral request, as well as the time the flowers had to be delivered. However, on the morning of, I arrived to the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to find no flowers were delivered. I called the florist and they seemed confused and said it would take a while for them to arrive. No apology was given. As time went on, no call was made to let me know what the status was. I had to call THREE more times to ask where the flowers were and was told it would take at least 30 minutes. In the end, the flowers arrived at 9:50 a.m. - 50 minutes into our funeral service and well over an hour late from the requested delivery time. To add insult to injury, the custom floral arrangement I requested to surround my brother's urn was left at the florist so the delivery man did not have it. He gave me someone else's arrangement to put on the table next to the urn, but obviously when dealing with something as sensitive as a funeral, you'd think they would have at least taken care to ensure they brought what I ordered. Also, I was so embarrassed to have the delivery guy walk though our crowd of guests to set up the flowers in the middle of the service. In addition, I had to demand an apology because the woman on the phone was so unprofessional and did not offer any kind words. I asked to speak to the owner and the owner would not speak to me. To be so careless with an order that is for something as difficult as a funeral is beyond my comprehension. I still have not heard from the florist about my refund for the delivery charge and the custom floral arrangement and am just so angry and disgusted by this place. If I were any of you, I wouldn't trust them with any floral delivery you care about receiving, ESPECIALLY if it's for a funeral. Unbelievably poor service. read more

Update: After posting my review, the business FINALLY reached out to me with a variety of excuses. I asked them to please still deliver the flowers for a 50% discount. I felt that was fair. They agreed and did so. They also asked if I'd remove my Yelp review which I'm not going to do, but wanted to post the update. Do not order flowers from this business. I live in Texas and found this business on here (Yelp) to order Mother's Day flowers for my new mother in law. I called on Friday morning and the florist said the flowers would be delivered the following day. They were not delivered. I called Sunday to inquire why they weren't delivered, but received their voice mail. I left a message and sent a text to the number referenced on their voicemail. No response. I called and texted twice the following Monday. No response. I would have been satisfied if this business just would have called me back and delivered the flowers Monday after Mother's Day. I checked my credit card and there is a pending charge. If the charge doesn't get reversed then I will follow up with the banking institution. So, at this point it now just looks like I'm a bad daughter in law who forgot about her mother in law on Mother's Day. Not good! read more
