There is only room for one client at a time, so i felt special knowing that I was her only client at the time. She was great to talk with and she definitely knew what she was doing. My experience was so good, I couldn't wait to write a review for Jenny! It was a perk that finding her salon was super easy and when you walked in, her set up was so cute! My hair has been damaged since forever and coming back from Vegas under the heat and all the chlorine did horrific things to my long hair. I came into Jenny's Salon for a deep conditioning ($50) this morning and this girl did wonders to my hair. My hair was very damaged when I went in to see her. My hair was chemically over processed and had heat damage. She kept it real with me, what I could do right now, what I shouldn't. I appreciated that she listened to me and looked at some pics of what it was I liked and wanted to ultimately achieve even if not in the same day. I found her very to be very meticulous which is something that stood out to me. So pleased with my new cut. I found her via Yelp, thanks y'all! The booking experience was quick and I received a confirmation email, and a text the day prior. The salon was easy to find, same parking lot as Kroger's on Campbell and Preston. Jenny knew exactly what to do with my hair (Asian, straight, a lot of it). She was able to give me feedback regarding the length, that if it went any shorter I wouldn't be able to pull it back into a ponytail. Bottom line - Don't go to Jenny if you want something specific. She will promise you things that she cannot do and won't get the results you want. Total waste of money. She also charged me more than the original quote for a base break without ever informing me beforehand (Didn't realize til after). I wanted to like Jenny as a stylist and call her my official hair stylist in Texas since moving from NY and experiencing an awful balayage at Dear Clark in Uptown. She originally came off as a nice, genuine person. But sadly, Jenny also ended up butchering both my balayage AND haircut. I appreciated her trying to fix it at the second session, but it still came out absolutely awful where she still missed balayaging the whole bottom layer of my hair the second time around and refused to fix it unless I paid full price for it. My hair also came out warm and brassy when I specifically asked NOT for that, but for ashy blonde, and when she tried to fix my roots (she originally dyed it super red/purple when I asked for a natural dark brown and she also started my blonde balayage way lower than I told her), it ended up looking like streaky highlights. Not even to mention how choppy and uneven my haircut was. She had no idea what a V-shape haircut was - I had to have her originally cut more to make it look more like a V-shape and then she just ended up making such a heavy layer to compensate for the lack of understanding without telling me she couldn't actually do that hairstyle. I ended up going to another hair salon (Modd Lab) to fix this god awful mess, which btw they did a great job with in ONE session (did everything I asked Jenny to do without messing up). Jenny told me she followed the balayage of my old hair stylist - but every hair stylist I've spoken to to fix her mess all said the same thing - you're supposed to balayage based on the hair cut/style and what the client wants now, and not what was previously done. What a total waste of money. Word of advice - BE HONEST WITH YOUR CLIENTS if you don't know how to do something. I understand you need business, but seriously? Don't tarnish your reputation doing it. read more

Simply, Jenn is amazing. Only once in my life have I found a true artist in both color and style. I am an older woman with brunette hair and stark gray roots. I didn't want what I have had to live with for years.....just covering the gray and living with dull hair. Many stylists balked at putting highlights in and when they did I found very uneven results. Jenn took the time needed to do an excellent job of giving me the results I have been wanting for years. Very fine highlights that give my hair shine and a cut that is manageable and with just enough volume. She is the first to ask if my gray was "resistant" to color. My last stylist told me that was just part of what I had to deal with when my color faded quickly. Jenn had two solutions for that and it seems the first one worked. I would recommend her to anyone.
