His surgical skills are outstanding and without question was the most recommended. I had no difficulty at all post op. My surgery was done at Proliance Surgical Center and their staff are the best (not surprised) and Dr. Christal's support staff at the Proliance Orthopedic Center in Edmonds were responsive, friendly and very efficient (again, not surprised). Another very important issue is the thoroughness with which Dr. Christal prepares his patients for surgery. He builds into the process the conscientious attention to detail and in particular his instructions regarding limiting the chance of infection by starting "decolonization" five days before surgery and setting PT goals early were appreciated. His pain management is stellar and I recovered with lightening speed. A sudden mobility issue happened back on 2/17/26. Working with my primary care facility and…read morephysician at Pacific Medical Center - Shoreline, I was referred to, had Xrays completed and evaluated at Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care that evening. The PA-C seen referred me to Edmonds Orthopedic Center (affiliated with Proliance Surgeons), located also at the Swedish Edmonds medical campus. My initial evaluation was with Michael Lee, MD on 2/23/26 where it was determined a MRI was needed to make a definitive diagnosis. This was completed at an affiliate site, North Puget Sound MRI in Mountlake Terrace on 3/6/26. My MRI results and next steps were addressed again with another appointment with Dr. Lee on 3/12/26. The MRI brought to light my current situation and potential future issues to be made aware of. I also received a cortisone steroid shot to help reduce discomfort and inflammation at this visit. My recovery is still ongoing, just thankful no physical therapy and/or surgical intervention are needed at this time. Yes, one has to deal with the wait (blame the insurance and medical care system in the US). Overall, I have been pleased with the professional care provided without the hassles of having to see similar organizations in downtown Seattle. It is much more accessible as a Shoreline resident to be seen at northend sites in Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace. My interactions via phone, online, and onsite have been favorable. Pro tips: Understand that time is needed to have referrals reviewed and approved by one's insurance coverage, especially if there were any policy changes. This does affect scheduling and copays. Exercise your patience, do your due diligence to follow up, ask questions and for clarity to advocate for the best outcome for your care. Give yourself extra time to locate parking, whether on the adjacent street, main parking lot, or parking garage whether you are dropped off or driving yourself. It does get congested and not fun with limited mobility and inclement weather. The common areas like lobby, elevators, and waiting areas are busy so be proactive to wear a mask and/or use hand sanitizer. Complete any online check-in requests prior to your actual onsite appointment. This will streamline your check-in process. Copays can be paid ahead or at the check-in counter. Once I arrived and was getting checked in I noticed that the lady at the front desk was terribly sick. I was shocked that such a sick person would come to work to check in patients, especially at a medical clinic. However, this wasn't my main concern with this clinic. The doctor I was seeing was Dr. Rodgers. When she entered into the room, she simply stated "My name is Dr. Rodgers, what can I do for your today?" No smile and no handshake; she was very dry and serious. Every time I asked her a question, she would respond as if she was irritated and annoyed of me. It was such an unfortunate experience that at times, I considered getting up and leaving because I felt so uncomfortable. Even my husband, who was with me and who is also a doctor, was astonished by her terrible bed-side manners and poor attitude. Instead of discussing my concerns or explaining why I was having those specific symptoms (despite my attempts of asking and her annoyed, short responses), she simply prescribed some medications and sprays. It was as if she was trying to meet a quota and needed to rush me out of there. Despite what the representative stated when scheduling my appointment, Premera has now indicated that they will only cover a portion of this $500 visit and that I will be responsible for the remaining $300 or so. If I had known that the visit would be so costly and for such a terrible and useless experience/appointment I would not have scheduled it. I would not recommend visiting this clinic.

Upon arrival, I was shown into a room to do a hearing test. The woman doing the test was very kind, patient with me and thorough. I then saw Dr. Lowrey. It didn't take her very long to figure out what my problem was, she listened very carefully to the symptoms I described and checked me thoroughly. She was a great listener. She was patient with me expressing my feelings (and fears) and diagnosed me, giving me the specific directions of what I could do to "fix" my problem. I was very satisfied with the entire office, their staff and my experience.

The PA may ultimately be correct that this is eustachian tube dysfunction and fluid that will take time to resolve, but I did not feel heard during the visit. When I asked about additional options, including imaging, tubes, or other interventions given my ongoing symptoms and upcoming travel, the discussion felt dismissive and at times patronizing rather than collaborative. The visit itself consisted primarily of earwax removal and a prescription, which left me feeling like I had not received the level of specialist consultation I expected from an ENT practice. I've since scheduled follow-up with one of the physicians and am hopeful for a more thorough discussion of both short-term management and longer-term prevention strategies.

She was also very knowledgeable, which helps because I have Lipedema (NOT Lymphedema) and many don't know much about Lipedema but she does. BUT their problem at the Snohomish location is the front desk person, Tori. She is incredibly RUDE. First of all, my first appt last week, I walked in, smiled, greeted Tori and said who I was there to see. She frowned, had a grouchy tone of voice, handed me a TON of paperwork to fill out, which I did, and when I was done, told me that Maggie would come get me. Now first of all, besides Tori - please people ... SEND THIS STUFF TO PATIENTS IN EMAIL! For heaven's sake. I have essential tremors so writing is difficult. My husband was with me and had to help me fill all of this out, which included medical history, list of meds, etc. It took me about 20 minutes to fill all this out, which put me at 5 minutes PAST my appt time. :-( Maggie came to get me and things were great them. But then Tori handed me a list of my next 5 appointments when we were on our way out. OHHHH KAYYYY. NO ONE - AT ANY TIME - consulted with me to find out what would be good days and times to come in AND we had to get out of there because my husband had a work meeting to get to. When we got home, we set the list of appts down and forgot about them until Sunday. My bad. BUT ... they were ALL for Tuesdays in the early morning. We normally don't do Tuesday appts when my husband has to go with me because he has to go into the office on that day. He took this day at home for THIS appt. AND I have some medical things that make mornings my WORST time of day. I try to make all my appts after about 11:00 am, later if possible. I am in so much pain in the morning that getting going is insane. So on Sunday we faxed them to cancel all those appts, stating we will call to reschedule. So this morning (Monday) I called. Tori was SO RUDE! When I asked if she got the fax, she didn't even answer me. When I told her I need to delete the these appts and reschedule them, she RUDELY AND STERNLY said "ALL 5 OF THEM!!!" I said "Yes, all 5 of them. Also, Maggie only needs to see me for one or two more appts and then I'm done anyway." (This is because she teaches us how to do MLD at home on our own. This is common with this therapy. So then Tori asked me what time tomorrow I could reschedule for, I was looking at my calendar and finally told her 1:00 pm. THEN she tells me Maggie doesn't have ANYTHING until April 10th. REALLY??? NOW YOU TELL ME!!! How about "Maggie doesn't have anything until April 10th, so what would be your best days and times after that?" Tori has no business working the front desk of ANY business. She gives them a bad name. I have read other bad reviews from people who won't go back to this location BECAUSE OF HER. I won't either. I cancelled all my appts and I will go to another clinic, even though I have to drive twice as far to get there. I know I will be treated well there because I've been there before. I chose Summit because it was closer. But Tori was the straw that breaks the camels back. Summit should find someone else to work their front desk. She is the FACE of Summit in Snohomish and she makes them look VERY BAD.

I suspect they have labeled her in advance as a "white whiney woman" - a term male doctors often use to describe female patients who are aggressive in getting help or perhaps they just though she'd cost the practice too much money. The Evergreen experience pre-op was incredibly informative and the home physical therapist post op really helped me so much. I drove today for the first time since surgery and freedom from pain gave more meaning to being mobile again. I cannot recommend this team more highly!
