Small hole in the wall type Mexican spot with a teeny weeny grocery inside. This place has been around for years which is a good sign. The food is scratch made and you can tell by the taste. I always order the cheese and onion enchiladas and the mish mash dip. The enchiladas are soooo good. Smothered in sauce and cheese. The flavor is deep, complex and authentic. The chips are made fresh daily. They are good, but definitely greasy The salsa is spicy but tasty as well. This place is an oldy but a goody. I'll certainly be back.

You can buy groceries too! Jalapeños, salsa , beans, spices!

LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! Fort Wayne Family owned founded by brothers from Nuevo León MX in the 70s. Best menudo, tamales and barbacoa! They have a kids friendly menu with chicken tenders and cheeseburgers too. I recommend trying their caldo de res on a rainy day and a menudo when ur hung over. Be sure to order tamales early on the weekends bc they go fast and sell by the doz! If you wanna eat local this is the spot. They make their own corn tortilla products! Tortillas, tostadas, taco shells and chips! On ur way out be sure to buy some of their chips and salsa for a snack at home ;). You won't regret it! Parking along the street on both sides of Broadway . They have a parking lot but it fills quick, especially on the weekends.

They taste awesome and def worth the price and it lasted us about a week. They have added a few new items and added a couple of cold cases around the store. Staff is always friendly and checking out is always quick no matter now busy they get. Def recommend stopping by. Locally owned nd awesome foods.

Moving from Miami to rural Ohio has been a real shock to my palate, especially considering my…read moreCuban/Spanish heritage. The variety of restaurants or ethnic food available for purchase at grocery stores is laughably low. So i heard about George's International Market and checked out their website. I was really excited to try it because it gave the impression of being "International" and i love a wide variety of foods. I decided due to this to make the long drive into Fort Wayne to check this place out. My first impression of this place was confusion. Just inside the store you find a statue of a lion holding a shield, a statue of Elvis, and a third statute of Marilyn Monroe in her famous skirt scene. I am unsure what this has to do with a supermarket. I then walked into the actual market and was surprised at how much smaller it looks than in the website. I also discovered as I began exploring that its "international" designation is a bit overstated. It does have food from one or two European countries but its mostly hispanic and really mostly Mexican. Was i a bit disappointed? Yes. That said, i did find a lot of food that my culture also loves in here that overlaps. Firstly, i found actual green plantains! Usually in the supermarkets near my home they sell plantains but they are rarely green. To be able to fry some up and have tostones! Yes!!!!! I also found other products my family and I would love including plantain chips, malta, yuca, tamales, Jamaican patties, and croquettas. The croquettas were of the frozen variety and sadly only in chicken, i prefer ham. I was also very happy when I found Pineapple Nectar for my mom. She loves the stuff and hasn't had any since we moved! So i did end up buying quite a bit when I came here and i will likely come back again. I hope they continue to expand what they have available for sale here, though.
