Lots of happy patrons on a Tuesday (even before noon)

While Salsa Grille is not a typical sit-down Mexican restaurant, it stands out among its fast casual competitors as a fresh-tasting and customer-driven dining experience set in an immersive atmosphere. We were wowed upon entering as it was not the typical modern fast casual Mexican design, but it looked more like an intentionally decorated Mexican restaurant. Our high hopes were satisfied when we were joyfully overwhelmed with a wide variety of fresh culinary options: two rices, two beans, more proteins than I've seen at any fast casual restaurant, lots of toppings and ten types of salsa. There were even free chips! All three of us were extremely pleased with the light, fresh ingredients compared to the heavy food offered by other similar restaurants. When traveling through Ft. Wayne in the future, we will be back to Salsa Grille.

The beautiful murals add color to the dining room at Salsa Grille.

Fresh as can be, quickly prepared and a wonderful value, this Fort Wayne restaurant has become a new favorite for lunch when I am in town. The concept is simple - choose your style (bowl, burrito, salad, quesadilla, etc) then your various toppings and salsas. I love that I can easily order a vegetarian version - and a shout out to some really excellent seasoned tofu and pinto beans- while my companions can order a variety of meat toppings. Don't miss the salsa bar at the end of the line. They have some excellent choices - the pineapple chipotle is a unique offering. Not a fancy place, but the painted murals are beautiful, the staff is friendly, and it is well kept. A solid lunch choice.

Exactly what you'd want from a quick casual Mexican option. I always go for the steak tacos on corn tortillas. Plenty of salsas to choose from, Mexican soda, and churros.

The place is dirty. Smells like chemicals. Food is tasteless. But at least it was fast?

Best salsa bar in town. Nice local ownership. Better than the similar franchises. Many ways to enjoy the food, nachos, burritos, salads

Cheap, cheap, and cheap. Great for a starving artist that cannot afford real food. I prefer real authentic Mexican Cuisine like Mi Parilla.

Sometimes, you just get tired of Chipotle! Salsa Grille tastes fresher. The chicken verde quesadilla is my fave.

The restaurant is very well-decorated and is clean for the most part. As an avid lover of Mexican food, my boyfriend has been searching high and low for a place that he can frequent for a good meal. After trying a few other places, we decided to try Mi Parrilla on a whim after a long day at the local zoo. We walked into a lively interior, with ample seating and comfortable booths. Our waitress was friendly and prompt with checking on us before and after we ordered, and we were quickly settled in while waiting for our meals. I haven't had a lot of experience with Mexican cuisine, but I love birria and wanted to try that here; as for my boyfriend, he got a chimichanga. We were immediately impressed at the portion sizes when the food came out - everything looked amazing! And honestly, these are the best I've had so far. They were crisp, filled with meat and cheese, and so flavorful. My partner was also very satisfied with his food, saying that this would probably become his favorite spot in town. We'll definitely come back to try more of their enormous menu!

This is easily one of the top Mexican joints in all of Fort Wayne. It's a huge restaurant that was surprisingly dead for lunch, granted it was a Monday. It's a nicely decorated place, the service was friendly and really fast (food was out in less than 10 minutes), and the food was simply awesome. Their chips and salsa are outstanding... I could literally drink the salsa. You get a ton of food for the lunch portion (way too much to eat in one setting), so I can only imagine the size of their dinner portions. $30 for lunch (2 people) is a steal in today's restaurant price-gouging times. CDM might be our new "go to" Mexican joint, and it's certainly our favorite on the NE side of town.

We sat there and looked around but no one stopped over. There was a 6 top, 3 top, and 4 top there. The restaurant was pretty empty. So we left and the hostess who sat us said "have a nice night, and I told her no one ever came over" The chips were fresh but that's all we received. The restaurant was dead and quiet. There was no reason no one waited on us.

Wow, very nice and also delicious. Their menu is amazing. Wide array of Mexican seafood dishes. They also have some non seafood options if needed. But when you see a seafood heavy menu at a restaurant, you *really* should get it. I focused on their new menu of shrimp dishes. They included head-on shrimp, in the shells. I wasn't sure I wanted to work for my meal and get messy. But damn, that Camarones al Cilantro (shrimp with cilantro) looked fantastic. I hemmed and hawed and decided I would order it along with some guacamole to get some vegetable material in me. When it came it was piping hot. Couldn't eat it, so focused on the guac for a bit. As the shrimp cooled I went to town on what may have been the messiest meal of my life. (Do NOT order unpeeled shrimp if you are on a first date or a job interview) Let me tell you - these shrimp were unbelievable. They were swimming in sauce and as I peeled them, i then dipped and chowed. The cilantro/chili/garlic? sauce was off the charts good. The onions and cucumber buried within it were also a nice discovery as I made my way through this mountain of a full pound of shrimp. It took a while and the sauce dripped down to my elbows at times. It was a caveman eating experience and it was probably the best Mexican dish I have ever eaten. It was probably a good thing I was eating alone. I don't see any other way to eat this unless you're a psychopath crunching through shrimp shells. But leaving those shells on keeps the shrimp moist as they cook and more importantly it keeps the shrimp flavor from cooking off into the sauce. Shrimp with the shell on do taste better - they are not just being lazy here. This meal was great and I would love to go back if I'm driving through again. Thank you for this!
