This is a favorite Mexican restaurant of our family's. We eat in restaurant on a regular basis, and the service is always outstanding, quick, and the staff is nice. And whether we're dining in or getting takeout, the food is hot and delicious. They have great quesadillas, burritos and tacos. Their salsa and chips are very good! This is the best Mexican food I've ever had. Bar none. The measures they take to make sure you have a nice experience are unusual anymore. A cup of coffee has a sprinkle of cinnamon added, brought in a proper coffee cup and saucer, with a spoon. The plates are beautifully arranged, colorful and delicious. You can't beat it. It has been awhile. I have to say Carlos still cooks a damn mean meal !!! It was absolutely delicious. My Tacos were so good with their spicy hot green salsa. A side of hot fresh fries and a Coke , I was ready to chow on my special day. Husband had a HUGE Burrito. Two sauces and beans and rice completed this behemoth of a meal. He had a bowl if their Charro beans, as always. The homemade guacamole at the side of your table ( with safe distancing) was kick butt !! Thank you Momma !! Was perfect. It's an upgrade anymore as portions suffer more at Celboa's. Los Cabos give you something to eat. They fill them taco shells and Tortillas. Homemade chips to, not much salt and slightly bland, but perfect texture and crunch to go with the excellent in house homemade salsa, mild and sweet. Perfect combo, the chips are rather addicting. Get the chips you get a complimentary basket and that salsa be fire! One of the best Mexican places out there. Tacos are great, burrito too. All the fixing's them beans n rice. Fresh to so ever fresh! I think it's pretty authentic. Better than Celboa's. More bang for the dollar for sure and better. BEST guac in Fort Wayne...made table side! As a vegan, they have a veggie burrito (sautéed veggies inside a flour tortilla) topped with red sauce that you can order vegan by noting "no cheese"...no other mexican restaurant in town that I know of has this as a menu item so it is a nice change. The servers know their menu items and can quickly name off every ingredient without blinking. They speak fast English leaving no language barrier. Food was spot on what you'd expect for Fort Wayne. It was a solid 3-4 stars. Super glad to see Charro Beans on the menu. Not many have it here and I enjoyed them. We've tried many Mexican restaurants in town and we agreed by far this is the best we've been to. This even though we had to wait a while for a table, it was worth the wait! We enjoyed the margaritas which weren't overly sweet or sugary. For dinner I tried the rice and beans and my husband got a burrito. He was over the moon with the quality and quantity of it! We I totally went here due to the rave reviews. It's in a small strip mall shopping center and doesn't appear to be one from the outside. Once inside you will find a small dinning room with plenty of staff and a more than poor lit dinning room. We were sat at first directly under the air conditioner that was seeping freezing air onto us. We did ask to move and they were accommodating. That table however wasn't much better. We were greeted right away with chips and salsa. The chips were straight out of bag from some retail grocery shop and the salsa looked decent. I asked the server a couple of questions and she informed me sodas were $3! Seriously? Yea water will be great thank you. She wasn't the friendliest thing when it came to my questions. I explained to her that we had never been there before so I apologize for the questions. When she left to give us a few min to look over the menu I took a chip and dipped it into the salsa leaving a mound of the red yumminess on the chip and into the mouth. Now I personally can not handle spice and as I continued to chew my mouth free more Intense with heat discomfort by the sec. I Bee lined it to the bathroom that wasn't the cleanest and drowned my mouth under the sink for 5'. When I got back to the table I said to the server that the salsa is very hot and she stated"oh do you want mild?" I asked her what that was and she said HOT! Who does this? As I sat there the heat worked itself down into my belly where it sat causing me to become sick and therefore leaving. Tried it for the first time today after passing it several times and we were blown away. The first thing we noticed was the friendliness of the staff. Our waitress came over and greeted us, and then asked if we wanted the freshly made guacamole. We opted for it and we're not disappointed at all. It was delicious! The complimentary chips are also nice. For my meal, I ordered the chicken chimichanga. It came with rice and refried beans. The chicken was moist and tasty. The rice was your run of the mill Mexican rice, which is fine for me, I really like how they have theirs. Now, I am not normally a bean eater, but I tried the refried beans and loved them. My wife got the California burrito with steak. It came with French fries too, which were your average French fries, but the burrito itself was delectable. Next time, I am getting something with the steak. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and one we intend on repeating. The prices were great, staff friendly, and the food spectacular.
