But the staff have always been nice, and the parking lot is good-sized. Outside, they have a small patio with chairs. That would be another option for me when the weather cooperates. The decor inside is your typical beer bar decor. Laid back. Comfortable. There's a jukebox. A cool place to grab some brews. Service (3.5/5): Two bartenders were working that evening and they were pretty solid. I did have to grab their attention a few times but no biggie. The Whining Pig has daily specials including a beer and grilled cheese combo on Wednesdays. I was curious on the price. They didn't know nor did they find out. That was a miss. Food (N/A): No food for me on this visit as I had dinner prior. They have a small menu, mostly made up of various grilled cheese sandwiches. They have a classic one, a pizza one, and a few others. I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. There is a big bar top area and other indoor table seating, patio is shady during the day. My group came here maybe a month or so ago and it was a great time with a super cool host- Sarah or something like that- and she kept the vibe awesome and was just a cool chick (and that has nothing to do with me thinking she was kinda cute, too, I swear! LOL) Sadly, we came back and the vibe was just NOT the same without her- the staff there said they thought it was she had been out for personal reasons, but thought she'd be back, so that's cool, if true (her coming back NOT her having a rough go or whatever!). Anyway, we were just bummed that the experience wasn't consistent with the fun we had last time with the other host... We'll check back, no big. As for the bar itself? Well, it's a local dive bar that's been around forever and pretty much wears it on it's sleeve! Didn't get our drinks for 20 mins and the fish fry was seasonless and not worth it. We left and just thought, we will never come back. Well, we decided to give it another shot today and walked in on a Friday at 5pm. No one greeted us for 10 mins, not a nod or a smile or anything. We decided give it another 10 minutes and there were literally services walking by us but no one looked our way at all so we got up and left. Won't give it another shot! It was also dark and dingy inside and smells funny. Table was also super dirty that my white hoodie had a dark grey line where my elbow was on the table.
