This place is absolutely horrible! We went here late last year and the service was terrible and there were barely people there but we wanted to try their fish fry and chicken wings. Didn't get our drinks for 20 mins and the fish fry was seasonless and not worth it. We left and just thought, we will never come back. Well, we decided to give it another shot today and walked in on a Friday at 5pm. No one greeted us for 10 mins, not a nod or a smile or anything. We decided give it another 10 minutes and there were literally services walking by us but no one looked our way at all so we got up and left. Won't give it another shot! Today we drove down from Prescott, where we LOVE Kimmyz there, so we decided to try this location. Totally worth it!!! The owner was there, recognized us, and was working all over, she is SO engaged in her business! We had a couple amazing cold beers and ordered take out food- all of that was outstanding! Great for a quick pop in. I only ordered one virgin bloody mary as I was passing time before dinner at the new omskase restaurant around the corner. The bartender is a sweetheart, attentive to all and very friendly. The drink was delicious and they seem to have a great menu but I didn't try the food. We have been coming to Kimmyz for sever years and there have been good and ok times but last night it was the deciding moment that convinced us to never return! There were several tables that were "reserved", not a problem. We sat at a high top that was not "reserved" and were treated very nice by Amber. When it came time for the Basketball final series before the championship game we showed her the TV channels asking if they would be showing this game. Without even looking she replied that they did not have any of those channels (one was NBC, no subscription needed) her demeanor changed to RUDE towards us. Funny, I looked up at the TV behind us and it appeared that someone had just changed the channel on a couple TV to the basketball game that was about to start???? She should have told us that "this table is reserved" but I can seat you at another table. That would have been more respectful, and maybe kept a paying customer! read more

I like Kimmyz. I appreciate the location , the live bands, and the food specials. It is dive,. It is diving. It is good for groups and It is fun. On Fridays they have all you can eat fish fry. For only $15.99. You cannot beat that. The fish is flaky and has great flavor. My recommendation though, it does need cooking a little bit longer. Some of it could have been better cooked in the middle, so I will not order that anymore. But my friends loved the ambience, including the games. and For that. We all, we will be back. read more

I must say I have come to Kimmyz many times because it's close to my house but over the last year the customer service has definitely dived more than the term dive bar!!! I went there today to order the tacos and first all there wasn't anyone behind the bar for a short time before the gal emerges from the kitchen and then didnt acknowledge anyone at the bar but instead was hugging the girls over by the waitress window and she even looked my way and saw me. It wasn't even busy in there! Good lord at least acknowledge your customers! Pathetic bartender. She didn't say anything or walk over my way or anyone sitting around at the bar. I shook my head and walked out and as I was walking out I said to the couple walking out as well that the service is getting worse here and they said they agree and it took forever for them to get served. Kimmyz, get better service, or get better bartenders who know what they are doing and don't ignore paying customers. What a waste of time going in there today. Be forewarned, you will wait to be served so order two drinks to keep yourself hydrated because it could be awhile before you can get that second one! read more

7/29/2025 - We came in for lunch right at opening along with a small group of others. The bartender was welcoming and prompt with service. She had quite a few patrons at the bar, but was all over it. The drinks were good and the food was very good. Nice portion sizes. My son had his first taste of potato skins and they were delicious. Sometimes skins are overcooked and crunchy, but weren't. My son had a burger and I had a spicy chicken sandwich and they allowed me to substitute a grilled breast for the breaded. We sat at a booth and could watch the baseball game. A good time had by all. Will definitely be back when we take our car in for an oil change again. read more

I came here for the first time tonight to celebrate my 27th birthday because I found it on Google Maps and it was close to my apartment. I was blown away! First off, our server was friendly and attentive. The food was actually quite delicious and flavorful. Drinks were strong and a great price. But what really set this place apart was the ambiance! They were having an open mic night and it was so much fun to hear some live music and free entertainment. It's also pretty spacious inside and they have a pool table and darts. The game volume was turned off since It happened to be open mic night. One guy was great, played an Eagles song and other dusties but the other guitarists were okay. I live across the street.. I moved under a year ago from NY. I thought this could be my new local spot. Every time I've come here.. I've tried 3 of 4 times.. the women that work there are so obnoxious. They literally threw my change at me after I ordered my first drink. I've been a waitress all over NYC and I know this business. No wonder why there are mostly older men sitting around the bar. The women only pay attention to them I'm assuming because they flirt and know they will get good tips. I am a great tipper but they will never know because this is pathetic. I don't know if it's Scottsdale or Arizona in general but I've never felt more uncomfortable at a "dive " bar before. read more

It was my first time at Kimmyz and was surprised. The server, Ashley, was very attentive and very honest about her favorite and non favorite menu items. Lots of great bands. Food is Good especially the tacos & The Friday fish fry is THE BEST! Breading is light & Fry's are perfect. Service is always great too. Went for the bengals v chiefs AFCCG. Food was not great. Our table was close to the bathroom, and it smelled terrible to the point where we moved tables halfway through. The atmosphere during the game was fun and energetic, but ultimately I will not be going back, nor do I recommend anyone going, as the food will be beaten by most bars. read more

Kimmyz Tatum Point is a good, average bar hangout with, based on my few samplings, somewhat above-average bar food. This last visit I tried the potato skins, which I found to be good, if not outstanding in any particular area. I liked 'em. I've also tried the bacon cheeseburger which I enjoyed quite a bit. The Grilled Chicken sandwich is also not too bad, though I wish they served up more fries with it. Still not a bad choice. Good selection of beers on tap. There's a large bar area in the front of the space with a good number of tables all around the space. A stage in the corner opposite the bar area accommodates local bands that frequently play here. While I have yet to belly up to the bar, the staff seems overall pretty friendly and there is a good mix of customers. Given the mix of businesses nearby, from Home Depot & Wal-Mart to medical facilities nearby, the patrons represent a good combination of backgrounds, all looking to enjoy Kimmyz relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. Overall this is a good choice to hang out with friends after work or in the evening, maybe catch a band and just have a good time. read more
