I hired Lawson Bros to paint the interior of a 3,000 sq ft home I recently purchased. They were prompt, courteous and very accommodating to my requests. Be forewarned: DO NOT let them work unsupervised. My husband and I gave them the keys to our house while we were still living 100 miles away. Poor quality work, bad communication, dishonest. Too many issues to count. After spending $20,000 for interior paint and cabinets, I am paying for a second painter and handyman to come back and fix all their mistakes and damages. DM me before you consider hiring them. Response to the comment from the owner: I was very impressed by you personally when you came to do the estimate. You were detail oriented and very attentive. I had high expectations that the rest of your team would uphold the same level of service, but unfortunately that was not the case, which we came to realize when it was too late. I was privy to all communication between Larson brothers and my husband. The reason we asked that all communication go through him was because Damacio took a very disrespectful sexist tone with me and I asked my husband to deal with him going forward. We absolutely were NOT happy with the final result. John arranged to do a final walkthrough after touch ups were finished on Tuesday, 3/30 and then never showed up. When I reached out to him about it as the work was not complete, he responded with "We already did all the touch ups on Friday and Monday. I wasn't planning on meeting with you guys again." There were still broken cabinets, gross painting errors, unfinished work, and unrepaired damages. These touch ups were not done free of charge. We had to accept your mistake of painting the dining room ceiling and walls the wrong color in exchange for touching up from the "other trades." Larson Bros crew lost the closet rods in 2 guest rooms and the laundry room and the weatherstripping around the front door and then claimed they never existed. We've had to repaint the cabinets that were sealed shut and those that they failed to remove hardware and patch holes. I had to scrub the bathroom floor with acetone because it was streaked with grey paint. When we came to check on the house on weekends, the toilets were left full of urine and feces, lights and heat were left on, and doors left unlocked. The list goes on... read more

I did a lot of research into area painting firms before settling on Larson Bros. From the start, they were, by far, the most professional of any of the companies that I contacted. From the initial walk-through with Sam, I could tell that these guys had an eye for detail and cared about the customer and the end product. They worked with me on color choice, scheduled my job and executed with great communication and skill throughout. While they're certainly not the cheapest choice out there, I felt that I wouldn't have to worry about the quality of the job or having them come back to fix any issues that I found. This is the second time we've used Larson Bros and we are even more impressed this time around- which I didn't think possible! Two years ago they repainted the interior of our house as new home buyers and we recently had them return to paint the exterior just a few weeks ago. First- scheduling. We had a bit of a tough time getting our HOA to approve the new paint color which delayed our project a few times. Still, despite a longer than usual rainy season Toby was incredibly patient and accommodating while navigating our scheduling with the utmost professionalism. We were also expecting our first child and it was important to get the project completed prior to his arrival so he was even able to make special accommodations to squeeze us into the schedule in time :) Then, we were lucky enough to work with John again as the project coordinator. What a great guy! He is so kind and thoughtful, very knowledgeable about all things paint and very communicative. He knows how to properly set expectations, manage his team and makes sure there are no surprises. Unfortunately, we did have a surprise for Larson Bros when our son arrived a month early only days before the job was to start. This meant we weren't able to properly prepare the house for our project, but this is where Larson Bros really exceeded our expectations. The team was able to move all of the plants, flower boxes, gardening tools, etc away from our house giving my husband and I time with our new baby and relieving a ton of extra stress. Whats more, they took the time to carefully move everything back into place when they were finished which was incredibly nice of them :) The project itself went seamlessly. The team was very quiet and gave us lots of privacy while they were working (both very important with a new baby). The house looks absolutely beautiful- so much so that a few neighbors we didn't know stopped by to knock on the door and tell us how great it looked. They actually provided a color design consultant, Julie, that quickly got us to color choices that we are thrilled with. They actually have a full time customer care representative, Toby, that is super quick to respond and was very helpful. For our project, the lead was Armando, and again we had great communication throughout. He, Francisco and Paul were so courteous and professional. They were on time everyday and worked hard, even in 90 degree heat some days. We could not be more pleased with the outcome, they took a rough house, and made it look beautiful. Alex and his team of painters really impressed me with their attention to detail, pride of workmanship, and their willingness to accommodate our need to limit the chaos of living in a house while it was being painted top to bottom, inside and out. Larson Bros painting company made all my dreams come true for the interior of my home. I wanted the interior of my home painted, my bedroom furniture painted, and a wood carved screen in my living room painted. I interviewed 4 companies and Larson Bros was the only company that could paint the furniture at my home. The other companies wanted to bring my very heavy and large furniture back to their workshops and paint it there. That felt like too much upheaval on top of the inherent upheaval of having one's home painted, so Larson Bros was, by far, the most appealing option in that regard. Here is another reason they were the most appealing option. During the planning stages, I admit, I was probably on the spectrum of a high-maintenance customer! I kept changing my mind about all sorts of logistics: which walls and ceilings to paint, which colors to use, timeframe and so on. Over the span of many months, Jesse made several visits to my home and we exchanged a multitude of emails with pictures and descriptions and many (very detailed) bids due to all my changes. I felt Jesse was always patient, kind and communicative. I felt he genuinely cared and wanted to make me a happy customer. He deserves a medal! Finally the project got underway more than a year since we started planning due to all my changes! The project took 4 days and the painters were 1) always on time 2) so cheerful and friendly and 3) they did a terrific job! I have extremely high ceilings in several parts of my home and had selected VERY bold colors. You should have seen these guys! There were so many of them, high up over here and down over there painting with efficiency and skill. I have to say, getting the entire interior of your home painted is a hard experience. Especially if you're also doing closets and bedroom furniture. It's like moving. You must pack everything up and move it elsewhere. I was living out of a small room with my 4 dogs and my husband was out of town. But even though that part was hard, everything else was easy due to the efficiency, professionalism and good work of the crew. After the project was finished and my house was looking FABULOUS, there were odds and ends that needed correction and touching up. Again, the crew, led by John, was right there to fix each area. (Some of the quotes I had from other painters were confusing and I'm not sure they actually saw my house. I think they just looked it up on google earth!) The crew as fantastic communicating with the tenants and me about timing of the project and the impact on the schedule since it had been raining. I had not been certain on some colors and they proposed great choices for the stained wood and deck. The final result is really great and I would use them again and recommend them highly. read more

I went with Larson Brothers Painting to initially do our interior walls and baseboards after reading all the five star yelp reviews and having Mr. Larson came out to our home to give us an estimate. We had just purchased our 1,900 sq. ft. Home and needed a new interior color scheme. After having Mr. Larson over I felt comfortable going ahead in choosing this painting company. As many of the other reviews claim things started off great. Our color consultant came out and we eventually selected one of her custom colors. Julie was wonderful and very patient and gave great suggestions. I felt like she listened to me and tuned into what color I was looking for to paint the interior our home. I felt totally confident in this company as we waited for their Tuesday arrival to begin our three day project (painting all the interior walls and baseboards). The three man work crew arrived on time and quickly began taping up the areas to be painted and covering the furniture and floors. Everyone was busy working. I felt comfortable with the workers who were friendly and courteous and remained focused on their task. The painting was extended a few days after I decided to have the entire ceiling repainted a different shade of white. During this period one worker went down sick so the 3 man crew turned into a 2 man crew for a few days. The work slowed as no substitute was provided by the company. As the project went on a little longer than expected I noticed slowly the job site was left a little more cluttered and after the crew would leave for the day I found myself picking up after them. The original time frame ran about a week longer and then we did the final walk through. There were numerous corrections but they were addressed by the foreman and one worker who stayed on site to make any corrections. The corrections took almost the last day and I think the worker got a little impatient. Finally, I told the foreman he could wrap it up as I myself was getting tired of all the little items that needed painting or cleaning up. I believed I had found most of the imperfections so the worker put away the paint cans and brushes and left with the foreman. A week or so had gone by and as my wife and I went about our day I kept finding paint droppings here and there I had missed. Some spots on our tile, some drops on our cabinets, some on the carpet. I had to clean up about 10 to 15 spots in all. I started to feel like the workers had gotten a little lax in their quality of work towards the end and with each new clean up I did that was made more evident. I eventually had to paint a few spots on the stairwell wall that I discovered were left unpainted. By this point I felt like perhaps Larson Brothers painting was not as attentive to quality work as I was led to believe by all their wonderful reviews or the paint crew I got was not too keen on doing good work. But what really soured my experience with Larson Brothers painting was that as I was touching up the spots on the staircase I found a paint brush just stuffed entirely into this full can of paint!! The worker who did the final days touch ups didn't bother to clean the brush and take it with him, he simply buried it in the paint can he just used!! I guess that was the final straw for me with Larson Brothers Painting. I thought as I cleaned up the mess this painter left for me I would never recommend this painting company to any of my friends and in fact go out of my way to tell people to stay clear of Larson Brothers painting. I feel now like I should have gone with Green Valley Painting. But as they say, "fool me once shame on you, fool my twice shame on me!!"
