If I could give more than 5 stars for Thomas and his team I would. When I contacted this business for a quote they scheduled a consultation with me quickly. We were happy to choose this team to work with on our painting needs as they are military friendly as well as professional and personable. We felt comfortable having them come in our home and they work so quietly and neatly you almost forget they are there. We hired them to do the trim, base boards, doors, and windowsill's in our new home as well as the banister for our staircase. The skill this team had to come in and get this done so beautifully was amazing! While doing the job we asked about another quote for our back yard wall and they were able to do the job right after they finished inside the house. Local Guy does great!! We had our house painted a few months ago and I have planned to write a review ever since! I had 5 quotes to repaint our 2 story home. TG Harris was not the cheapest nor was he the most expensive and we absolutely made the right choice with Thomas and his crew! They did every thing they said they would do. Thomas was willing to take a look at paint chips that I gathered and even had one of his guys stop in Concord to pick up the mixed samples since Vacaville store was out of the sample cans. They showed up on time, cleaned up everything and even brought their own porta potty. The last item was quite the topic in our neighborhood! If you are planning to repaint your home, make sure you get a quote from TG Harris. I believe they do interior painting as well. read more

Earlier this year I decided to do a remodel on our home. I contacted around five contractors, and one of them gave me an estimate, Thomas came out and it just felt right to go with TG Harris. He explained to me every little detail, and how he could make things better. He finished our two barns and whole house in no time. Had Tom come out for an estimate for a small one day job to paint and repair rafters on my 2500 sq ft home. He came and said he would be able to squeeze me in on a Saturday or during the week since it was a small job. Next day he texted me and says he can't squeeze me in and won't send the estimate because he didn't want to waste my time. Seems like he changed his mind about the job and didn't want to waste HIS time sending an estimate he committed to sending. When I called him after to inquire what changed in 12 hours, he just repeated what he said in the text then hung up on me. Pretty rude and unnecessary. Will probably paint the whole house next year and Tom will be the last person I call. UPDATE - Tom replied to my review that I was upset he couldn't fit me in his schedule. What he didn't say is the other reasons he gave why he didn't want to do the job and it had nothing to do with schedule. He stated the reason he didn't want to come was because he needed to make sure his guys could work Saturday (in person he said he guys are always looking for extra Saturday to work) and he also said his costs go up on Saturdays (he never mentioned that when he was telling how eager his guys were to get extra shifts). Yes I was asking him why he couldn't fit me in after he was sure he could but that wasn't the reason why this guy is full of it. He started saying a bunch of different reasons why he didn't want to do the job that had nothing to do with his schedule. Yet he implies in his response to my review that my repeated question was regarding his schedule, which I understand sometimes contractor have no control over, but it was all the other reasons he gave, which he was well aware of when he came to give me an estimate, why this guys is full of it. He also says he was getting ready to send an estimate and he called me back 5 minutes later after hanging up on me. That was a LIE, he called me 5 minutes after I left this bad review. Coincidence? Doubtful. FYI I still have not received any estimate. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this company. read more

I usually do everything myself. But we have a ranch style house and a large outbuilding out in the country and I didn't have it in me to paint both. We got three bids and met each contractor. We felt great about Tom and his price was good. But being me, I still was worried. Once they started, I was able to let go and am extremely pleased with the results. They made us feel like it was their house they were painting. The effort into making sure we understood what to paint with the main color and what to use the trim color on gave us confidence. Tom and his crew were all professional, on time, friendly and cleaned up daily. I know they went to extra lengths on caulking and prep work. I had this company paint all of our house trim, everything was different whites the previous owners had paint all over the trim etc. These guys did a great job. Reasonably priced, good communication and responsive. They went above by fixing extra details (that I had messed up trying to paint before hand) and were kind enough to help get the house back together i.e. helped me hang curtains back up before they left.
