Exceptional good seafood. Reminiscent of 1970's disco area. Staff does not speak English, adding to the authenticity

Sad place to go no one there. Menu was just a bunch of bad pictures and no prices. None of the pictures looked good so we left.

One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing. "By the way, the prices at 'Friendship Skewers' are anything but friendly -- I think it's quite overpriced overall."

The service was great and the waiter explained many of the new dishes to us herself. The food came out very fast after ordering and though there were several other tables full of groups, they also got their food out quick as well. The noise level is moderate, but the high walls on the booths and the partitions between the larger seating area and the table and booth section helps to buffer the noise pollution between the areas. The La kalbi was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The dish came with a side bowl of rice and assorted bon chon. You could share this dish between a group of 2-3 or individually order it and be fulfilled.

I have dined here before so the interiors isn't too different just small changes. Let's jump to the food- I ordered the galbitang and it came with 10 different banchan. Which is a nice surprise since some restaurants aren't as generous in the banchan. The galbitang was so flavorful for a "clear" soup and the meat was tender. It also included a good portion of meat. I've tried galbitang at other places, but there was an umami that many didn't have. All the banchan were flavorful too, I thought the kimchi had a good balance as sometimes it can be a bit on the saltier side. Service was great too, the sever was friendly and checked often. When I went, it was just me then a couple arrived. There was a delay with their order so she provided some mandu on the house while their order was being prepared. Once they received their order, I heard the couple tell the sever that everything was very good multiple times- their food did look good! I recommend checking this place out especially with the new ownership. Menu looks similar from previous owners, but will for sure go back and try something else!

Staff are super friendly making sure things were good and they had a great attitude which made it feel welcoming. Inside, there's a mix of large tables and small tables. The cleanliness is not the best - my cup was sticky on one side and a seat had a wet stain on it. The menu is pretty extensive and I will note that their chicken dishes had a disclaimer that there might be bones in them. I also want to note that the online menu is not the same menu as the one I saw in store. I only got two items during my visit however they were both pretty good. The salt and pepper chicken wings tasted good, salty, and garlicky with a great fry texture. The stir fried rice rolls with xo sauce were seasoned well and some had a crispy exterior. Overall, a solid 3.5 spot for Chinese food in the area but a little bit on the pricey end. I'm not entirely sure if I'll come back as I think xiaolongbao house and honey court are much better.

The staff was excellent super friendly, helpful, and quick with taking orders, clearing dishes, and swapping out the grill without us ever having to ask. For just $5 more, the premium menu is 100% worth it especially for the wagyu. Everything we tried was delicious, but our favorites were the wagyu cubes and the lollipop lamb chops. On top of that, they offer a salad bar, fruit/dessert, and a sauce station to round out the meal. The atmosphere was another highlight: modern, clean, and comfortable, which made the experience even better. The only downside is the time limit, but honestly, 90 minutes was plenty for us to enjoy everything. Overall, we loved our visit and will definitely be coming back!

Definitely a no frills place, but it's family run and the food is good. We arrived around 12:45 on a Sunday, at the end of the lunch rush wave. Worked out really well: our server Frank sat us right away, we ordered, and were eating our first dishes within minutes. Perfect! Because we were starving! I had a hankering for pork bao, which I hadn't had in a long time. They were decent. My girlfriend is vegetarian, so all other dishes were vegetarian: dry-fried string beans, general Tso's tofu, and hot and sour food. More than enough for the two of us, and very good and satisfying. Note: General Tso's is usually made with chicken and we asked if it could be made with tofu instead. They had no problem with the request. Portions are ginormous, so bring your appetite!

Even after mentioning multiple times that the menu was confusing, no one stepped in to help. We were given one water jug for a group of seven with no refills. Several items were incorrect or missing, including shrimp we ordered but never received--possibly due to a system or app issue. Drink orders were also wrong (lychee instead of passionfruit), and although refills were supposed to be included, no one ever checked on us. We ended up having to walk up ourselves multiple times to get any service. The only time staff came to the table was to drop off food. To top it off, there's a mandatory service charge, which feels excessive given the level of service (which was none)--especially in Seattle where employees already earn a $20+/hour minimum wage. Don't go here if you want service, come here if you want precut meat that you cook yourself, because that's pretty much what you get, after one smoothie refill, you'll just get watered down flavored ice. There are better hot pot restaurants elsewhere,.. go there. 2 STARS, only because the cuts of meat weren't horrible, vegetarian options were good, and portions were decent. But never returning to this establishment again, the service just SUCKS!
