    Mole
    Ethan C.

A little bit on the pricier side but they give large portions and service is friendly. I got the chicken mole w corn tortillas and the horchata. The black mole sauce was perfectly balanced with sweetness and spice. Horchata was perfect - not too sweet. Overall, there were lots of seats and we had a great time.

Rice you could tell they use tomato paste the bras were close to home made beans the burrito was soggy to much red sauce

While I still mourn the loss of Tubs, this place is helping me reach Acceptance. And who would've guessed - between this place, the Loxicha truck at the Chevron up the street, and Aceituno's (though not my fave) all opening up in the past year, suddenly Lake City is a kind of Mexican food Mecca. Hell, throw in Taco Time and Taco Bell, and Lake City Way now satisfies Mexican food tastes across the whole spectrum (there are also two other taco trucks - one at the Shell and one by Brown Bear Car Wash). Options include everything you would expect from a full sit down Mexican restaurant, but in a much more casual setting that anyone from California will be familiar with. You've got your regional Mexican music playing, your aguas frescas machines, and your huge menus. No free chips and salsa though, unfortunately. Food was very good. Totally solid. Ingredients were fresh, everything came out hot, and it'll scratch the Mexican food itch that you just sometimes have to scratch. What kicks this into five star territory though was the service. Friendly, down to earth, happy to have you there. I'm very happy to have them in the neighborhood. Welcome to Lake City! Oh and look at the size of this Tequila burrito. Goddamn.

    Chicken fajitas

Really fun vibe at this place. The menu is massive. And so are the portions! I shared the chicken fajitas with my wife and we were both stuffed. They gave us extra tortillas free of charge. The aguas frescas don't seem to be homemade, but still tasty. Lots of Zapatista/revolutionary art. The habanero salsa on the side was delicious.

    80. Chile Relleno

Gave me a chicken chile relleno burrito (chicken isn't listed as an ingredient on doordash which i used to order, i don't eat meat) with everything deconstructed when i only wanted the salsa on the side. the horchata is reallly horribly watery too and lacks any flavor other than ice and cinnamon. Will not be back as i couldn't even get a proper refund from doordash or grab a quick decent meal after a long day.

    66. Birria Taco

Second time visiting again not disappointed. The birria was BIG! I could have just gotten 2 tacos. Only ding is a little salty. But still great service good flavors.

It is somewhat difficult to get a reservation, because the space here is very small and packed with tables. The one downside is that it is a little tight and can be difficult to hear. But I'll take that for the opportunity to eat here. And as long as you go in with the mindset that you might drop some serious coin on the meal, you're gonna have a phenomenal time. Because we were so close to our dining neighbors, I was actually able to ask them what they were eating since it looked so good. And that's how we ended up with some mind blowing fritters. A perfect appetizer to start the night. They have a great selection of wines that are actually reasonably priced to buy by the bottle. I'm pretty sure I saw someone taking one home that they drank a few bottles out of also, which is a first. I was impressed by the creativity of the dishes as well. I'm not one to be impressed by cabbage, or ever order it, but the charred cabbage looked enticing. The cheese on the bottom, seasoning, and dates transformed this ordinary vegetable into a star. And of course you gotta see what they're doing with the seasonal veggies. I can't seem to ever cook squash the right way, but they crafted it into the ideal consistency where it was almost meaty. That New York Strip was out of this world though... the garlic sauce that accompanied it was just enough of a flavor enhancer that it didn't take away from a steak that was cooked to the ideal temp. I'll be back for more!!

Deep fried so it gets a bit heavy if you're eating it solo. Entree: Mr Piggy Mac & Cheese. Delicious cheesy goodness with a good helping of tasty shredded pork. The noodles and the pork were evenly tasty, neither overpowering the other. I hope this one makes it to the regular menu. I got the salmon Caesar salad and it was DIVINE. The salmon came on the side, and the blacked crust was salty and crispy. It was a great match for the fresh salad, brightened up with some lime, avocado and the dressing. The crispy corn tortilla strips on top were a great crunch. 10/10 would order again.

Stepping inside feels…read morejust like being back in Asia, and when I first discovered it, I drove all the way out here nearly 10 times in a single month. They also almost always have great specials when you spend over $80! Must-Orders & Foodie Pro-Tip: * Special Lamb: The absolute star of the menu and a non-negotiable must-have. - i like to ask for additional spicy powder on the side and dip more since it is little blend for my liking * The Cucumber + Cold Noodle Hack: If you're a savory girl like me, order the cucumber salad to start, but save about a quarter of it (and the sauce). When you get cold noodles for dessert, dunk the leftover cucumber and tangy sauce in--it adds the perfect crunch and acidity to balance out the sweetness! Drink Note: They still serve beer, but it's a bit sad that they don't sell original/non-flavored soju anymore. Regardless, the incredible food and lively vibe make every trip 100% worth the drive.

Legend has it that tens of thousands of years ago, our ancestors lived by eating raw meat and…read moredrinking blood. One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing. "By the way, the prices at 'Friendship Skewers' are anything but friendly -- I think it's quite overpriced overall."
