We wanted to experience a new restaurant in Puerto Nuevo for Baja style seafood and Yelp brought us here. We literally were the only ones in the entire restaurant on all three levels. We were welcomed warmly my several upon entering. Carlos was our server. He immediately brought out chips and two types of salsa and limes. I asked if they had the Laker game but couldn't get it on their stream. A for effort all the way. He shared thy specials and took our order. In a flash pie cane of food, piping hot. Fresh hand made flour tortillas the size of a large pizza. They were delicious. Bottomless yummy rice and beans. We ordered the medium size lobsters x2. The were amazing with the garlic butter.
Las Brias is amazing. If you're looking for tasty food, friendly staff and service, and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further. We had the garlic shrimp and Diablo shrimp plates, and an outstanding piña colada. The plates came with rice, beans and tortillas on the side and they were great as well. I judge any Mexican food establishment back home by their beans and Las Brisas were some of my favorites. They make their tortillas in house and we had plenty of food to take back for later. Our server Mario was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable and ensured we will be back again when we are near Puerto Nuevo. Everything was priced reasonably and I look forward to trying the lobster next time. Don't skip Las Brisas, it's worth it.
ENGLISH: WOW what an incredible experience. From the vibrant atmosphere of the streets of Puerto Nuevo to the decor and feeling of home Las Brisas has. Such hospitality and kind people working there with smiles on their face as they help you. The biggest of compliments to Georgina and Mario and Ramiro. They really made us feel like I was back visiting family. This stop was so amazing and delicious we had to come back multiple times during our short visit to Baja. The food is some of the best lobster and largest lobster we've ever seen or eaten! You cannot miss on the homemade in house tortillas!! They're so perfect and fresh. And the prices are so fair. Our server Mario made sure to bring us COLD cervezas, and was attentive to our needs. We had the Pulpo al mojo de ajo, they sampled their fish soup made with halibut, The XL lobsters along with their homemade flour tortillas was all drooling worthy!!! This is my new spot from now on until they drop the ball and hopefully that'll never happen! 10/10 in my book
First time to Puerto Nuevo. So many restaurants, this one wasn't packed but reviews were amazing so this is where we landed! Yelp did it again, the food was exceptional!! The best mariscada I've ever had!! There were 6 of us, we ordered the #3 for 5 people, it fed us all and we came home with extra lobster and shrimp. It was so much food and priced so well, on top of all of that the service was super friendly and welcoming. We will always be back! The vibes, food and drinks all 10/10
Melt in your mouth delicious!! The lobster was so tender and fresh. I have never tasted nor seen rice so fluffy and delicious. At this point I'm calling it Angel rice it was that good. The staff was so attentive and nice. I felt like a celebrity they were so gracious. This place is amazing!
Lobster , fish , shrimp, crab legs all was hot and delicious, along with all the sides - Service was wonderful ,very attentive. Definitely a lot tastier then that one 2-3 story restaurant facing the ocean which I usually go to. I am glad I decided to try this one had lots of positive reviews on yelp . Coming back soon!
I have visited Puerto Nuevo several times for their lobster and have gone to several different restaurants and this is my favorite that I keep coming back to. The service is amazing! The waiters are so friendly and attentive. They start off by bringing their caldo de mariscos which is so good. We got three large lobster halves for $30 USD. This is the same price we got at another place the same week but for a medium sized lobster. I like the fact that they asked us if we wanted the lobster deep fried or grilled. We chose the grilled because that's our preference. I'm not sure if other places also do this but I haven't been asked before. We sat at the very top level of the restaurant which gives you a view to the ocean. It was close to closing time so we had the place to ourselves. It was like a private romantic dinner. Although there's nothing romantic about eating a lobster and getting it all, lol! There was a review that said they didn't take cards so we were worried that would be the case, but after talking to our waiter he explained they had a day a couple of months ago when their system was down and apparently they got some reviews complaining about this. You CAN pay with credit or debit card.

Wow!!! What a wonderful dining experience! I discovered this restaurant while searching through the Yelp suggestions. Seriously there are A LOT of restaurants in Puerto Nuevo that serve fresh seafood. I am so glad that I chose Las Brisas. The selection is the right amount of offerings to satisfy every palette. We went with the Combo #1 with included lobsters,shrimp,and crab,served with a side salad on the same platter. The portions here are meant to feed three and that it did. The portions were hearty and the food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We also ordered the stuffed shrimp which were delicious as well. Honestly the combo would have been enough. We also ordered the guacamole which was a delicious addition. Can I talk about the flour tortillas that come with the meal? I could eat these all day everyday. We were also served a fish soup before our meal that was delicious. The establishment is clean and the staff was very friendly. The food was served fresh and hot. I cannot rave more about this restaurant. Last bit here ...our waiter Mario was the best!!! He was super friendly and attentive and gave us A+ service ! 10/10 read more

This is the best lobster and margaritas in Puerto Nuevo hands down! We love a few places in the lobster village but this place is hands down the best! Don't let the fact that it's not right on the water stop you from trying! Still has a great ambiance! read more
This was our 2nd time to Puerto Nuevo and our 3rd restaurant. We ordered a lobster meal for 3, grilled octopus and some bacon wrapped shrimp. The shrimps here were really good - large and fresh. Everything was fairly similar to other offerings in the area. Not the best views so we were expecting better pricing. Sat at the top floor and it was nice there was a restroom at that level. Margaritas were a little weak too. I'll be trying another restaurant next time we return. Overall it was okay. I'm determined to find a favorite spot in Puerto Nuevo. read more
This will probably be my shortest review ever... what really needs to be said? Lobster with melted butter ? Nom nom nom Shrimp Costa Azul? Epic Homemade tortillas? Amazing Beans and rice ? Looked good, don't know if I even tried them, because I was stuffed!! Service? As always Mario is the man. This place is pretty much my go to. Decent view, parking people down below watch your vehicle, I always give them 10 bucks when I get there and they keep a close eye. Some of the bigger places look fancier, and have better views... But the food and service are very intermittent. Las Brisas is consistent in all areas and I've always had exceptional experiences here. read more

The lobster is to die for - this must be the best place in Puerto Nuevo, and Includes amazing Homemade tortillas (even took a dozen to go). The deal we got today was awesome: $30 for three halves of large lobsters, rice, beans, tortillas, chips, and awesome salsa. All home made. Mario was our great waiter who went out of his way to make our experience wonderful. read more

We recently went on vacation to southern Cal. We are both foodies and are fans or the cooking channel. There is a Mexican female chef named Patti Jinich that we follow. Over the past few years she has highlighted places in Baja, Mexico. On a recent show she visited the ocean front town of Puerto Neuvo, Mexico. They are known for their grilled whole lobsters. We decided to be adventurous and run down the coast for a grilled lobster lunch. Our anxiety was high as we have never driven across the border. 40 minutes later, we were seated in Las Brisas on a beautiful day enjoying 3 grilled lobsters om between us. The waiter was very nice and encouraged us not to miss out on the "Mexican caviar" refried beans. The lobsters were between 1.5 to 2.0 pounds each. The Pacific lobsters are not as sweet as their northern Atlantic cousins. The seasoning was good but not great. The staff was nice and very personal. Overall the day was nice but not sure it was worth the trip. 2 1/2 hours at the border crossing made it even longer. read more

What can I say!! Amazing experience. Mario was the best. He took care of our huge group of 40 + people. The lobster is fresh!! Baja Fresh.. it slid off the shell in a finger licking butter sauce. We got the lobster special (small salad on the side ) with beans and rice bowls.. definitely recommend read more

Service was excellent . The shrimp and lobster were over cooked so not as tender as it should be . The " butter" served is not butter which is very disappointing because there is so much more flavor when you use real butter !!! Other then that we really enjoyed our dinner and it would be a 5 star if the food wasn't so over cooked and the butter was actual butter . Guacamole and chips awesome ! Soups awesome ! I really understand why this place has 5 stars. No joke it has the best lobster that I've ever had in my life. I came down here for a day trip with my husband and I do not regret it one bit even though we got stuck at the border for 5hrs going back home, it was worth that border traffic! First--the GPS if you have signal will kinda screw you over. You'll get in the general vicinity of the areas but you will have to ask around to find Las Brisas. But keep in mind while your walking around and asking, you have people in the streets hustling. Which is not a bad thing but people will do all they can in their power to convince you to go to their restaurant. My husband was close to going to one of the other restaurants because of how convincing the people are but I was insistent on going to Las Brisas. But okay, once you get past that and find the place, even though if you don't speak Spanish, you are greeted with a warm smile by the people that work there. While you may not speak the language, gestures is what's going to get you around. The place is 3 stories, and the hostess pointed up at the ceiling asking if we wanted to go upstairs, and we did! We went all the way to the third floor which is outdoor and you can see the ocean a bit based on where you sit. There is also very nice shade but also an ample amount of sun so you get a good dose of vitamin d and shade at the same time (don't ask how, Just go and you will understand what I mean). Anyways, we were then brought the menus and asked what we would like to drink and ordered jamica. Jamica is the exact same thing as an Egyptian drink called karkadeh so knowing that they had a drink I grew up with in my Egyptian household, I couldn't resist but ordering it. Anyways, the food here is super cheap. You can literally get a plate with lobster and crab for under $25 like uhmmm whaaaat? I lowkey wanted a feast but it was just the two of us so what were we gonna do with all that food lmao. So we just ordered individual plates. I got a plate with crab claws and lobster. And tbh they made it sooo quickly! Like right after we ordered our food we were brought chips, two types of salsa, limes, seafood soup (which I wasn't a fan of but that's because I don't really like broth lol, I'm more of a stew gal if I say so), flour tortillas, rice, and beans. Just the appetizers and sides alone get you full. And keep in mind these all come for free with your meal!! We also ordered a shrimp cocktail and my husband got a lobster and shrimp plate. Keep in mind the total bill cost us $56 for all that delicious food!! Idk what they did to the lobster, I think they fried it?? But yo whatever seasoning was on it, it was A1 stuff. Never had lobster so juicy, moist, crispy, and like all the possible sensations at once in my life?? In addition to all this, the waiter would walk all the way from the first floor to the third floor to check up on us frequently and was very efficient with cleaning. Good food and good customer service, what else more can you ask for? Tbh if I could give over 5 stars I most would. read more

The food here is AMAZING! The server was very friendly and answered all our questions (Carlos) There was more than enough food for the 7 of us. Everything was seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection! The combos came with rice and beans and delicious tortillas. The place was clean and the bathrooms were too. We sat at the top where you get a little view of the water. Try all the seafood!!! It's worth every penny! Muchas gracias Las Brisas. We will be back asap! read more
Been here a couple times. The service is pretty good, it's cool that they let us park out front. You don't have the best view of you're trying to see the ocean even if you're on the roof area, it's partial ocean view. Medium lobster plate or steak with lobster was $22 with rice, beans and homemade flour tortillas! Chips and salsa were good, salsa was fire and even the pico de Gallo was spicy but good. The lobster was a bit dry the second time around but flavor was still good. I would definitely go back. read more

Come down here about four times a year and a stop to PN is always on the itinerary. We've been to quite a few lobster spots over the years and this one is the best. Don't do what I did and go anywhere else. The lobsters are huge and Carlos and Sergio are legends. Strong drinks on the house too if you get the special. Fun clean and a great staff. Puerto Nuevo is known for their delicious lobsters at many of the various restaurants here, and we did just that on our trip to Baja California this time around. We went here on the last day of our trip in Rosarito. We came with a group of 14 people by a recommendation from one of the people in our group that had dined here before. The restaurant was pretty empty and we were able to be seated right away. Warning: Coming into Puerto Nuevo, you will be approached by many people to eat at their establishment, so be sure to choose your restaurant wisely! read more

My partner and I decided to have a date over in Puerto Nuevo for the day. And as always we "Yelp" the restaurants before we pick one out. Lol! This one kept sticking out to us. So we ventured out to find it. We get there and are met by a server by the name of Mario who directed us to their second floor dining area. He immediately asks how we're doing and if we've been there before. He came over with fresh chips and salsa and disposable menu's. My partner and I were a little disappointed that we could see the ocean from where we were sitting but we were grateful that the restaurant was clean and following covid protocol. After deciding what we were going to eat. We settled on having: Garlic crab as an appetizer. I had the shrimp and lobster combo and my partner had the "Mar y Tierra" which comes with steak and lobster. Both plates come with rice, beans and fresh tortillas. About 5-7 minute's went by and Mario shows up with our crab plate. You could smell the salt water! It was so fragrant and We immediately dive in! It was buttery, garlicky and incredibly fresh! Shortly after Mario comes over and ask's how we're doing and with "butter finger's" we give him a thumbs up! He asks if we've ever had halibut soup? We said we hadn't and he told us we had to try it and that he would Bring us some on the house. 5 minute's later he brings two piping hot cup's of halibut soup. And the broth was to die for! The fish was so tender. Within minute's of bringing us our soup, our plates arrive. Along with with 2 large bowls of rice and beans, clarified butter and some flour tortillas. At this point we're done with our crab and soup. We start on our plates. I see I have 8 jumbo shrimp and a large lobster split in half and I go into the shrimp to try, It was so juicy and perfectly cooked! I then tried the rice and beans and of course they were also flavorful. The tortillas were massive also freshly made. All I needed was a stick of butter! Lol! So, it was time to try the lobster... OMG! It was pretty spectacular! Juicy, flavorful, and extremely fresh! We devoured it! Every bit of our plates. All the while Mario would come over to ask if we were good, needed anything or as we took breaks between our meals he would tell us about thing's to do in the each town. He was awesome! We thought we were done with eating until my partner said she had room for a shrimp cocktail. We order a medium shrimp cocktail which to be honest was more like a large and filled with shrimp and topped off with fresh avocado. She loved it. I tried it and it was pretty good! All in all everything was excellent! The service was superb! Mario was kind, funny and so helpful. The food was top notch that we totally forgot about not being ocean front. Please support this establishment. The view isn't worth a million buck's. But the god and service are. Plus, for everything we had including 4 coke's, lol! It was only 70 dollars! We couldn't believe it! I can't imagine how much it would cost here at a San Diego restaurant ... Go enjoy the day in Puerto Nuevo and have some buttery lobster. You won't regret it! read more

This place is f-in amazing. Seafood huge portions, great prices. nice ask to sit on the 2nd floor. Prices are very reasonable for what and how much you get. good service very broad variety of menu. no matterwhat you get, from guacamole to clams, to steak, to drinks. there was nothing that wasn't good. Parking is a pain in the ass, don't pay more than ~$5, More is Grigo prices. read more

This restaurant is worth the trip to Puerto Nuevo. Our server Mario sat us on the 3rd floor and it was a nice view. The seafood is fresh, the price is very reasonable and the servers and staff is very friendly. The Micheladas are tasty and the agua chiles taste very fresh. I had lobster and crab and it was DELICIOUS. The tortillas are like my grandma used to make. My husbands campechana was a great portion and super tasty. The rib eye steak was cooked just right for my seafood hating brother in law! We will be coming back soon! THANKS MARIO read more

I am very very very impressed with los Brisas. The quality and selection of fresh seafood on the menu is unparalleled in Rosarito Beach... From the moment we drove up, and we're greeted at the curb by friendly staff... Smiling and welcoming us. To the time we sat down on the rooftop at a table with a fresh warm breeze, and the beautiful colors of the banners whipping in the wind, we had the most relaxing and enjoyable lunch... We pretty much ordered a little of everything on the menu, because the prices are so fair, and reasonable, and we really had heard great reviews from friends, so we wanted to check it out for ourselves. We ordered a ton of different things on the menu because we really wanted to try a wife variety of food... Everything was so so fresh and excellent tasting they even when you complementary fish soup, which is in a very light red broth and it was delicious. Suffice to say that our eyes were way bigger than our stomachs but again the pricing is so reasonable (it was $100 total for everything!!!) .....you can really get a lot of food here for a little bit of money and it's a great value!! I think my favorite thing was the steamed crab and the trash, flour tortillas, and the clam chowder... Oh, and the fresh chips and guacamole and salsa we're also really good. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing and all of the service staff are so gracious and kind and friendly. Georgina was our waitress and she was wonderful!!! The ambience is just great!! read more
My friends and I choose to eat here after reading the yelp reviews, it definitely did not disappoint!! We ordered clam chowder, quesadillas, oysters, lobster, shrimp and crab. Everything was prepared so perfectly and brought out with a quickness. Mario gave amazing customer service and made us feel at home! As for their cleanliness, everything was very sanitary and they provided hand sanitizer at the door. Will definitely be returning anytime I come to Rosarito! read more
