    Delicious menudo!
    Justine S.

Nice mom & pop restaurant that we dropped by for breakfast. It's very clean (even the bathrooms!), prices are very cheap, and the service was friendly although on the slow side so don't come if you're in a rush. We came pretty soon after opening so there were only two other tables occupied, but we still waited 20+ minutes for our food. The menudo was excellent!

This place is amazing in quality and price. Sadly when they are busy plan to wait for food for an hour. It literally is homemade and cooked in a home kitchen.

Our favorite, my babe's chilaquiles and my machaca!!!

Glad we can yelp in Baja now. We've been coming to this restaurant for few years now and always come here and order breakfast and occasionally dinner. My babe always gets the delicious chilaquiles verdes. I usually get the machaca ranchera with nopales. We love this restaurant!!! Hidden gem in Primo Tapia

Chilaquiles rojos con huevo Flautas Huevo con chorizos

Came here because of the reviews but I feel very let down. We were the only 3 customers on the restaurant and the service was slow. One of us ordered coffee (which was extremely watered down) and the waitress couldn't remember which of us it was. The chilaquiles and scrambled eggs with chorizo were mediocre. My friend who got flautas did enjoy them but wished they came with sides. It only comes with a sauce. The chips given were like chewing on sand. The only thing I enjoyed was the salsa that came with the chips. And then we were extremely overcharged for an extra water we didn't order. They did end up correcting it but blamed it on the register. Keep driving, there's better food ahead.

Great service! We asked for spicer salsa and the waitress brought out 2 bottled salsas and they made a fresh homemade salsa. They were all good! Husband really liked the camarones a la diabla and I had the combinación Especial it wasn't the best but it was good. Home cooking. Each plate with tortillas was less then 100 pesos!

Great place for a quick bite to eat, home style food at a reasonable price. Bring cash, as it's cash only. Make sure to enjoy a fresh smoothie, they are amazing.

My husband got the Toast de Machaca de Cangrejo, and it came w/ Monterey cheese gratin, eggs and arugula - it was really unique and tssty, but quite rich. I had the Cazuela de Borrego - a lamb stew, simmered for 9 hours with spices, beans, cilantro and served w: homemade corn tortillas, which had an amazing, complex, wonderful flavor. Margarita was great, too, Seating inside and out, and a very cool bar. Would love to come back for lunch or dinner!

We have lived in Baja for over 5 years and have tried about every culinary experience from TJ to Ensenada. This up and coming place was one of the best! Staff were friendly, service was amazing and the food was well above our expectations! Every single item was an explosion of flavor, but really especially the Tortilla Soup!! The chef takes the time to reduce the stock into the most delicious base we've ever experienced. It's a must have for sure! The dishes are works of art as you will see in my photos which really dont do them the justice they deserve. We didn't even ask but they heard us talking about a birthday so they brought out a cheesecake and sang happy bday, such a nice touch and a wonderful addition to our evening.

We went once, the twice, now we are going for a third time Monday morning after arriving on Saturday. So what's up? There are a very few people here? Because there's no view. If you want to view for one hour, you are eating; this is not the place. then what do you get? look at my photosand imagine shrimp in the cocktail with a flavor better than I could imagine and I shrimp religiously. The grilled Lobster has pieces of grilled garlic and who knows what other flavors they put into it Super Mex #1 had been a favorite for years and like everything good seems to have a new management. Las Brisas was our go to Replacement. until we met the unassuming man with a menu and we were only talking about how the weather was getting cooler as I was ordered my homemade candy from adolceria. The other gentleman proceeded to ask what else I'm going to do and where I was going I told him I'm going to the La Brisas, he said give my place a try to get a margarita thrown in and if you don't like it you pay nothing. 2 1/2 days and three lobster dinners later I'm still shocked. we ordered the shrimp cocktail and had one at another place his was better the shrimp was unbelievable it had flavor it didn't taste like it was cooked in water. The Lobster's were very flavorful and abundant. The cost for two lobsters all the fixings was $26 this is a day before Halloween 2020 for my wife's birthday. A couple of drinks some homemade guava drinks that he brought us from a tree outside the bill with $70 cash US we went the next day too we're going tomorrow. for one hour you don't get to see the Ocean but when you do your full kitchen ocean view the hours before you come here find a taco in a beer stand for the hours after you come here will be here for breakfast lunch and dinner we come for the food we come for the price are you kidding me are you really kidding me I'm not kidding

One said their carne asada sucked - probably because they do not serve carne asada - this person didn't bother to get the name of place correct. Another couple of gems raised a complaint because some guy on the street told them they could get 2 lobsters for $20. La Perlita doesn't use hawkers in the street to hustle people - they never have. The places who do that are the places that sell illegally small lobsters to greedy tourists. One review complained that La Perlita had a lousy rooftop oceanview - their building doesn't have a rooftop area for anything. My family, my friends and I have been coming to La Perlita for almost 50 years. It is one of the few places where you get an honest (and legal) lobster. They bring the live lobsters to your table for you to choose. The same family has been running this place since they opened and expanded throughout the years. No hype, no bait 'n switch like at the ripoff joints on the next two blocks closer to the ocean. Looking for a quality meal? La Perlita. Looking to get shitfaced, ripped off, sing yo soy marinero with a bunch of fat gringos, eat illegally small lobsters, you have go 1 or 2 blocks closer to the ocean where the street hustlers can grab you with their BS stories.

Although it's not the comfiest place to kick it for three and a half hours for a race, it was a really good experience, and the owner, Karen, is an AMAZING mixologist!!! There were six of us and we sat at the bar facing one TV she set up for us to watch the race on. There was one other group on the other side of the bar, about eight of them, I think. Everyone was eating and drinking and I, being the DD, was only allowed to have one drink per hour BOO. But, I made the most of it. Karen REALLY knows how to make an old fashioned and when I asked her to make one with her best Mezcal, she did and it was FABULOUS. My bestie, wanted a Mezcal cocktail, too and Karen made her one with apple and jalapeno that she loved. The boys drank giant beers. We also tried out some nachos, wings and my dad got a baked potato. The potato was the only disappointment in the experience because it was on the hard side, but otherwise, we had a fun afternoon and really enjoyed getting to know Karen. Its right next to Puerto Nuevo, so a nice place to have cocktails before your lobster dinner and ask Karen to make you something delicious. She really is awesome. Also, if you have some sports memorabilia you're letting go of, a donation helps this SPorts bar have a lot of fun decor to look at. They even have a front bumper of one of Joey Logano NASCAR Fords. Will DEFINITELY return and totally recommended.
