The store is organized into categories so it is easy to find what you are looking for. Besides the spices, you will find honeys; maple syrups; recipe mixes; extracts; and sauces. The quality items make a great gift for someone or to just use in your own cooking. They also have a rewards program that you get $10 off for every $100 you spend. I was told I could try most of the spices before I bought. I was given a mix to make some chili so I like that I get to try a new product to me.

Vom Fass has just what's needed to do that. Like many similar oil and vinegar stores, Vom Fass has the same variety, but they also go beyond into the less common. The flavored sesame oils for one, as well as the other nut and seed oils, the various kinds of sea salt and peppers, the curries and herb blends, all place Vom Fass apart. In fact, there's so much to choose from, the sampler sets will help with any indecision. Because I prefer smaller amounts, I opted for the small bottles, filled while I watched. Although there's a fee for the bottles, I was told that if I brought them back cleaned, I wouldn't need to buy new bottles when I was ready to try something new. For sampling, Vom Fass has small spoons nearby and the employees are available to fill them for you. I preferred that, really, since the spoons are small and the product can pour out quickly.

There were two display refrigerators for meats. Hardly anything there and whatever was there didn't look good for consumption. Looked passed it's prime. It's a Butcher market... The machine used to slice meat had pieces of meat hanging out in the circular blade. There were also pieces of meat in the bottom. By the looks of it, the meat had been hanging out there for a while. They tried to clean the floor. It was a bit slippery. It was not wet. Actually felt a bit greasy. The Diet Coke I got (a can) had a fresh date of 14 Mar 22. I checked all the other 18 cans of Diet Coke in the fridge and all had the same date. Why am I mentioning this? It did not taste like Diet Coke. I still ordered what I went there for: Menudo. Taste was ok, but: I had a plate full of cows feet and some menudo. Its becoming a common practice to add them to a menudo plate. Not excited about it, but I live with it. Never before I had four pieces in the same bowl. I paid too much money for the Menudo plate I ordered. Not much menudo in there.
