The machine used to slice meat had pieces of meat hanging out in the circular blade. There were also pieces of meat in the bottom. By the looks of it, the meat had been hanging out there for a while. They tried to clean the floor. It was a bit slippery. It was not wet. Actually felt a bit greasy. The Diet Coke I got (a can) had a fresh date of 14 Mar 22. I checked all the other 18 cans of Diet Coke in the fridge and all had the same date. Why am I mentioning this? It did not taste like Diet Coke. I still ordered what I went there for: Menudo. Taste was ok, but: I had a plate full of cows feet and some menudo. Its becoming a common practice to add them to a menudo plate. Not excited about it, but I live with it. Never before I had four pieces in the same bowl. I paid too much money for the Menudo plate I ordered. Not much menudo in there.

It's not far from the 40 exit. This is a great store and is laid out like the store in Morrisville where I usually go . They no longer have the burger/ sandwich grill but do still have the area where you can sit and eat. There are many other ways to get something to eat there and it was clean when I was there. I was pleased to find many items that I can't find in other stores. The prices are as good or better than the discount stores on many items! I have tried several of the wegman paper products and have been happy with them all. Again, cheaper than the discount grocery stores. A nice shopping experience!

We got a cheddar biscuit with bacon and eggs, and my wife wanted the salmon bagel but they were out of bagels so they offered to make it on sourdough bread. We found a place in the seating area and waited for them to call our name. My biscuit was delicious and filling, and my wife's salmon was so large she ended up taking part of it go. Don't forget to poke around their retail area for gifts, cookbooks, wines and more. They also have occasional sales. It's now become a Durham institution.
