Once again deceived by Denver's taste bud paralyzed Yelpers. You all who said this is authentic Mexican food need to go back to taco bell where you belong. Now that my rant against you all for making me try this place is over, let's get to the restaurant. Chips and salsa: Chips were bought in and dry. Salsa was mostly water and bland. Margaritas: weak, small, and tasted like cheap sweet and sour mix. No fresh lime juice anywhere near here. Chili Rellanos: Tasted frozen and extremely bland. Much like buying those Kroger brand jalapeño poppers. The sauce was bland, and most likely canned. The rice was eerily familiar to every other crappy mexican restaurant in town which screamed non home made. The beans were runny which indicated over hydration from a can. The best part of the meal was the flour tortillas and the service. The guy was super nice which is why they get 2 stars instead of negative 10. What is wrong with you all? We're you born without palates, or have you never had good food before? I need to start going to all the bad reviewed restaurant since judging by Denver Yelpers, they are probably outstanding. read more

Some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had in my life. Not exaggerating, possibly some of the worst food of any cuisine I've had in my life. Came here on a recommendation from family members, whom I am now convinced are losing it. Staff was bored and aloof, confused by our simple order, and didn't seem too happy to be working. The food was awful. Their queso dip is obviously watered-down Velveeta, which came out lukewarm and congealed within 5 minutes of being delivered to the table. Chips were cold and obviously out of a bag, but tasted as if the bag had been opened a week ago and never closed again. My meal made Mexican Night at the dorms look like a Michelin-star restaurant. Cold, goopy cheese, with soggy tortillas, hardened and congealed beans, and brown lettuce. The rice was crunchy and either undercooked or had been made in bulk and reheated all weekend. I try and find a positive about any meal I have, but the only one I can come up with about this place is knowing to never come back. read more

They are all so kind and will bend over backwards to make your dinning experience great. The food is good too. It isn't your authentic Mexican food, but it is great Tex Mex cuisine. Las Dalias is the Mexican place my wife and I have been waiting for. We had essentially given up on Mexican food for a few years. Our favorite place (Chavez on 38th) closed years ago, and we were swimming in an ocean of mediocrity when it came to Mexican food. Las Dalias may have changed that. What's not to like? Cute little place, with fun, bright decor, the food was great, the service was excellent and the price was more than fair. It's easy to drive by without seeing them, but if you're looking to experience good, family owned Mexican food in Denver again... this is your place. We got bean and cheese burritos (although the cheese was on the outside), a carne Asada burrito (again guac and sour cream was on the outside ???), and a carne Asada plate. Okay, we LOVE this place! My parents live in the area, so our family has been going regularly (at least once a month) for many years. Actually, since they opened. We are a big family with little kids, and they are always so kind, welcoming, and accommodating! My favorite menu items include: fajitas, chile relleno (duro), guacamole tostada, and cheese enchilada. My kids enjoy their ham and cheese sandwich, burrito, and sopapillas. The food gets 3-4 stars but the service !! ??? This is not the first visit and gave it another chance. There is a young man that tends bar. He could care less if you need, want or ask for a drink and never offered a refill. His attitude is " here you go you are welcome" and talk about feeling rushed. This not a place to "enjoy" your food. From the moment we sat down it was rush rush rush , eat and go away. The "waiter" is a little bit better at being somewhat courteous with lots of effort. This place used to be our go to- even though the service is slow and forgetful. This last time took the cake. It took 45 minutes to get two simple orders with only 2 other tables there. The order given to my hubby wasn't even close. No apology given. My water was refilled with water that smelled of bleach. Yum!! I'm a sucker for street tacos and I was impressed with the ones I got here. I got tacos al carbon and the meat was so flavorful. It was served with a generous helping of guacamole. The salsa and chips to start the meal were fresh and delcious also! This reminds me of the Mexcian food from Southern California. absolutely love love this place! my friend showed me this little gem and I'm so glad! the staff is so warm and friendly, and even though I usually go in and have to deal with a crying baby most of the time lol they are gracious with me. the good is so homey and if you ask for hot chili. believe you're gonna get some fire! the egg rolls with shredded beef are my fsvorite, along with the shredded beef taquitos you can't go wrong with anything here though since their beans which is the one of the ultimate staples in any Mexican dish are delicious. odd ball turn if you blink you'll miss it but that's all is you should go. read more

I wanted to try something different & break away from my normal spot to test the waters. We were quickly seated & our drink orders taken. The restaurant itself is smaller than most and decorated very similar to Tequilas. The chips & salsa were good & we decided on our main course. We had the combination plate with beef enchilada, chili relleno & tostada. We also ordered tacos de alambre & tacos al carbon. The combination plate was good but there was a definite cinnamon taste in the red sauce that kind of spoiled it for me. And what is the deal with restaurants throwing your tostada or crispy taco, which is messy enough, right into the sauce of everything on your combination plate and creating a soggy mess out of them. The tacos alambre were very good, different than your normal street taco. The tacos al carbon lacked flavor but were good. Towards the end of our meal the restaurant started to get pretty crowded & service started to suffer a little. All in all, a good visit but I'll stick with my regular spot. read more

Have ordered take out 2 times recently, and the staff is rushing around and it's very chaotic by the door where you pay and pick up food. Recently I started ordering Alambre plate and it is my now favorite Mexican food and I've eaten a lot of Mexican food. Last night I did some poking around and was told about a hot sauce they have that the employees only eat called allá diablo. I don't like hot just for the sake of hot I like hot but still flavorful. This took my dish to the next level and will definitely ask for it again. I have gone here since it's been open and they rarely disappoint. If they were open earlier I would get them to go on my way to work, but they open at 8:30am, so it is a weekend treat to bring home for the family. As compared to some other Mexican restaurants in the Lakewood area, this is one of the better ones. I have had their tostadas and most recently their fish tacos. I have been impressed with both.
